RAINBOW WIRI - over-raced in the early stages when being restrained to surrender the lead.
ATOM HANOVER -over- raced during the early and middle stages. Lay outwards when under pressure in the back straight on the final occasion. When questioned regarding the performance Trainer D Iremonger advised that he had been disappointed with the efforts of his gelding and it was his intention to have blood taken in the coming days. Mr Iremonger undertook to advise Stewards of any irregularity that may be apparent. A post race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery with signs of an upper respiratory tract infection.
JANET GUTHRIE - held up near the 600 metres by a weakening runner having to shift wider on the track to improve.
M T POCKETS - raced wide in the early stages until being taken forward to race outside the leader near the 2050 metres.
RUSSIAN ALSU - under pressure passing the 1000 metres to maintain its position in the field.
WOMENINLEAGUE - held up near the 600 metres by a weakening runner having to shift wider on the track to improve.

WHERETHERESAWILL - weakened final stages.
PRO SURFER - raced greenly when being taken forward three wide to lead between the 1200 metres and 1000 metres. Shifted out rounding the final turn when leading. When questioned regarding the performance Driver T Williams stated the horse tonight was fresh up since early October and having its first attempt at racing right handed. Mr Williams advised that he anticipated the horse would derive considerable benefit from the run.
SEZANA - lay inwards over the final stages.
THE STUNNING NUN - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room through the early and middle stages of the run home. Driver M McKendry reported his filly to have raced greenly leaving the final bend and briefly been unable to muster sufficient speed to hold a position behind eventual winner, MACHS MARETA.
ADIEU FLIRT - raced fiercely through the early stages.

AIN'T NO PRINCESS - caused a delay to the start when refusing to turn in and address the barrier. Stood on the mark and refused to move away with the field and was retired from the event. Stood down pending a satisfactory standing start trial. Stewards also placed the mare on the unruly for standing starts.
AS FREE AS AIR - hung in passing the 1250 metres.
LUCK OF THE MOMENT - broke shortly after the start losing all chance.
GREAT FANTASY - raced without hind shoes after casting a plate leaving the stabling area.

STEAM PUNK - paced roughly in the early stages and had to be steadied. Continued to race roughly through the middle stages. Weakened on the bend near the 400 metres. When spoken to with regard to the performance Driver Z Butcher could only advise that he had been disappointed with the gelding's efforts. A post race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormality.
DESTINED FOR HEAVEN - broke leaving the final bend losing its chance. A warning was placed on the mare's racing record.
AWESOME SPEED - Trainer R Dunn was issued a $100 Minor Infringement notice for presenting the mare without the notified blinds. Gave ground passing the 300 metres. When questioned regarding the performance Driver T Williams said the mare travelled lethargically throughout and was disappointing. A post race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery and Stewards will follow up with Trainer R Dunn in the coming days.
OUR SEQUEL - trailed on the outer before finishing on fairly into 4th place beaten 4.9 lengths. When questioned regarding the performance Trainer/Driver T Herlihy could only attribute the run to the rise in class in tonight's event in what was the gelding's second race day start.

GOLDEN QUEST - badly held up on the final bend by a weakening runner.
IMASPORTSSTAR - hampered by a weakening runner near the 500 metres however failed to make any impression once clear of that runner. When spoken to regarding the run Driver P Ferguson explained that the gelding had been racing well when able to make up late ground along the marker line and that he had encountered difficulty when trying to shift out to follow improving runners leaving the back straight so he allowed IMASPORTSSTAR to shift back down to the pegs however the gelding failed to run on.
THE NOTORIOUS ONE - lay outwards through the score up and early stages.
DIAMONDSRBETTOR - raced wide in the early stages. Lay inwards throughout particularly rounding the bends causing Driver M McKendry some difficulty. Weakened passing the 400 metres hampering trailing runners.
CHOSEN MAJOR - held up early final turn and then again over the final stages of the run home.
COWGIRLS N ANGELS - raced four back on the outer before improving three wide with cover from the 700 metres and only battled over the final stages finishing in 6th place beaten 3.3 lengths. When spoken to regarding the performance Trainer/Driver T Herlihy stated that the filly had not been suited when having to work three wide on the fast tempo rounding the final turn.
STARRY STAR - weakened final stages.

POCKET MISS - unable to gain clear racing room in the final straight.
VESPA - lay inwards on the bends. Broke near the 800 metres. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners.
ALL YOURS - raced wide from the 900 metres
ARTY PHARTY - raced wide with cover from the 900 metres.
RECKON IM SMART - held up in the early stages of the run home.
TANGIHUA TOM - weakened final stages.

This event was incorrectly shown as being over 2200 metres on the TAB website with the correct information being disseminated. Stewards spoke with Track officials to ensure this does not happen in the future.
MINNIE BOW TIQUE - reared and fell to the track prior to the start. There was a delay while this horse was vetted and after receiving the all clear was sent to the unruly by the Starter. A warning was placed on the mare's standing start record.
MACKERELLI - lay in rounding the bends. Trotted roughly leaving the bend near the 800 metres under pressure and was distanced thereafter. When questioned regarding the performance Driver S Lawson explained that the horse travelled lethargically from the 1200 metres and had been disappointed with the mare's efforts. A post race veterinary examination revealed that the mare was in season and had tied up.
WHO ME - Trainer J Harrington advised Stewards that the filly had been treated for tie up since its disappointing performance at its previous start. This information was passed on to Trackside and the Announcer for public dissemination. Broke leaving the first bend near the 2200 metres losing considerable ground. Broke again passing the 550 metres.
SPEEDY LAVROS - trotted roughly throughout the run home.
MY BOY BOO - lay outwards in the early stages of the run home with Driver D Balle not able to fully test the gelding at this time.
WAIT FOR SUCCESS - broke near the 550 metres.

COOL SON - trotted roughly through the score up.
CAROLINE WOZNIACKI - Trainer J Abernethy was issued with a $100 Minor Infringement Notice for presenting the mare without the notified Blinds.
SOL INVICTUS - trotted roughly in the middle stages of the run home.
MAJESTIC ONE - underwent and passed a pre-race Veterinary examination after racing last night at this venue. Lay outwards through the back straight on the first occasion.
GRENADO - lay inwards leaving the final bend. When questioned regarding the performance Rider M Northcott stated that she had again been required to nurse the gelding over the early and middle stages but felt that it was gaining in confidence with each Monte race and was pleased with the way GRENADO finished the event off.
