MY NIKAYLA - broke as the start was effected checking trailing runners. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
BIRD OF PARADISE - raced greenly near the 1200 metres causing driver B Wilmott some difficulty before breaking hampering trailing runner and losing its chance. A warning was placed on the mare's racing record. Whilst in a break the hind near side hopple loop broke.
QUEEN OF GLORY - driver C Wigg was fined $300 for using her whip outside of clause (b) of the Use of Whip Regulations.
ROYAL JESTER - out of position at the start, driver M Maynard was issued with a warning to ensure he maintains his position until dispatch in the future. Checked at the start losing ground. Hampered near the 1200 metres by a breaking runner.
HIGHLAND REIGN -checked at the start losing ground. Raced three wide without cover from the 1200 metres. Weakened final bend.

FOREIGNER - driver G Hunt reported that the gelding lay outwards and trotted rough over the concluding stages.
PASTRANA - broke at the start. Broke again near the 1600 metres.
SMUDGEE - broke at the start.

FAST WET N WINDEE - the connections advised that the mare will be racing in season. Broke shortly after the start.
QUAESTOR - broke shortly after the start.
ALADDIN SANE - driver J Cox advised that he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
APPEARANCE - raced rough early stages.
HELGA'S MONARCH - raced rough early stages. Broke near the 500 metres.
TOPNOTCH TITAN - broke at the start. Broke near the 400 metres.
MUCHACHA BONITA - held up for clear racing room near the 100 metres. Cleared from the Unruly for future standing starts.
GOTTA TICKET - broke at the start.

A BETTER DANCER - inclined to lay inwards exiting the final bend and early stages of the run home.

WESTAR SAM - weakened final stages.
CAESAR'S QUEST - paced roughly near the 50 metres.
BEAUDIENE GAMBLER - held up late in the run home.
I'M JIMMY JAMES - broke while negotiating the course crossing losing ground. Trainer J Cox advised that the gelding will be wearing hopple shorteners and a shadow roll when racing on grass surfaces in the future.
PEGASUS KOMMANDER - held up early stages of the run home.
MR ASIA - held up early stages of the run home.

The race was delayed by two minutes by the request of Raceday Control.
SILENT SHADOW - held up in the run home.
MYNANASGOTNOTEETH - when questioned regarding the performance of this gelding driver R Close could offer no explanation. A subsequent veterinary examination showed the gelding to have recovered in a normal fashion.
LOOKINGFORAREACTION - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground. Paced roughly rounding the final bend.
PADDY ME - held up in the run home.
SHOT IN THE DARK - held up in the run home.
ALREADY GONE - held up early stages of the run home.
OHOKA MATTY - broke in the score-up and was well out of position at dispatch. Paced roughly at various stages throughout the running. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier record.
KACIE CULLEN - inclined to lay inwards in the run home.

DEMETER - paced roughly and broke briefly near the 1600 metres. Held up throughout the run home.
JAFA KITTEN - held up throughout the run home. Driver C Markham advised that due to this he was not afforded the opportunity to activate the removable deafeners.
GOTTAGETTABEER - broke at the start checking trailing runner. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
SZYBKA LANE - held up throughout the run home.
JAFFA - raced keen early stages.
ELEGANT JEWEL - terminally checked early stages and retired from the event.

TIZ A SWEETHEART - began awkwardly. Held up in the run home.
SISTER'S DELIGHT - Held up around final bend. Placed in restricted room between SOUNDS BETTOR and ART COLLECTOR nearing the 100 metres locking wheels with SOUNDS BETTOR, having to be heavily restrained. Driver M Williamson lodged a protest under rule 869A(2) against ART COLLECTOR placed 2nd and SOUNDS BETTOR placed 3rd alleging interference near the 100 metres. After viewing replays and hearing the evidence from all parties involved the JCA dismissed the protest against ART COLLECTOR, however upheld the protest against SOUNDS BETTOR with SOUNDS BETTOR being relegated to 4th.
PANDA GIRL - broke at the start before settling then breaking again losing considerable ground.
VICTOR TANGO - near front hopple came adrift near the 1000 metres. Trainer R Bennett was fined $100 for failing to affix gear so as not to come adrift.
CHOICE LUSTRE - began awkwardly and lost its footing resulting in SPINATALE being checked. Reared and fell to the track shortly afterwards and was retired from the event. A Veterinary check revealed no injury.
MYTH OR REALITY - inconvenienced at the start. Broke shortly after the start. Driver K Cox advised that the gelding was striking the sulky wheels throughout.
CHILLER BAY - inconvenienced at the start.
BETTOR MOVE ON - shifted inwards abruptly as the start was effected crowding inside runners.
IT'S ME - inclined to lay outwards at various times throughout the running.
SPINATALE - terminally checked at the start taking no part.
SOUNDS BETTOR - shifted out slightly in the run home locking wheels with SISTER'S DELIGHT near the 100 metres.
ART COLLECTOR - hung in during the run home placing SISTER'S DELIGHT in restricted racing room over the concluding stages.

The start of this race was delayed due to the protest in Race 6.
GRAND PRINCESS - broke after 100 metres. Broke again near the 350 metres.
ANNA KATE - broke near the 1800 metres.
BRIGHT GLOW - held up through the early stages of the run home.
MILLIONDOLLARMONKEY - broke near the 300 metres.
TAIERI MISS - broke near the 1300 metres.

The start was delayed due to a member of the public requiring medical assistance from the St John ambulance.
BARKLEY - hung inwards and broke near the 1550 metres when racing wide on the track.
MADDISONS DESIRE - held up early stages of the run home.
ROCK N JOY - held up throughout the run home.
SPICY GIRL BECQUI - co-trainer G Hope was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice for failing to present SPICY GIRL BECQUI with the notified blinds. Broke briefly in the score-up. Paced roughly nearing the 50 metres and broke just prior to the finishing line. A protest was lodged under Rule 870(5) alleging this runner had been in its incorrect gait when reaching the finish line and had been lapped on by GLENGARRY KNIGHT. After hearing submissions from Stewards and co-trainer Mr G Hope as well as viewing all available films the JCA upheld the protest and relegated SPICY GIRL BECQUI to 3rd place.

MR MIDNIGHT - broke at the start.
LEADING THE WAY - broke at the start. Held up early stages of the run home. Driver J Cox reported that his outside sulky wheel deflated during the running.
MIDFREW TARPEDIEM - held up early stages of the run home. Inclined to lay inwards throughout the run home.
FOUR STARZZZ SHIRAZ - underwent a pre-race Veterinary examination and cleared fit to race after starting at the NZMTC's meeting the previous night. Broke at the start. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier record. Over raced middle stages.
ARTICULIGHT - displayed poor barrier manners. Broke at the start losing ground. Raced greenly near the 1750 metres. Paced roughly home straight. Underwent a post-race Veterinary check at the request of driver R Close with no abnormalities detected.
GO DAVEY - held up early stages of the run home.
MY WEE MAN - pacing roughly near the 300 metres.
 
Race 10CLINT FORD CONTRACTING TROTVideo  Video 
RARANGI OPAL - broke near the 100 metres. Trainer B Weaver requested that the whip be removed from his mare's notifiable gear list for future races.
LEO'S GIFT - broke after 100 metres. Broke again near the 400 metres.
SUCH FUN - broke after 150 metres.
HEAVENLY LOVE - broke near the 200 metres.
TRICKY RASTUS - trotted roughly at various stages throughout the running.
DIANA HARBOUR - slow early stages.
 
Race 11COUNTRY FEASTS FILLIES & MARES MOBILE PACEVideo  Video 
VINNIE RULZ - held up early stages of the run home. Awkwardly placed to the inside of ULTIMATE DESIRE near the 250 metres with driver B Hope becoming unbalanced in the sulky.
TURKISH TROUSERS - had to be steadied after an easing of the pace near the 900 metres.
SELENA FRANCO - restrained early stages. Skied its head and had to be restrained after an easing of the pace near the 900 metres. Paced rough throughout the home straight.
ULTIMATE DESIRE - (B Weaver) the connections advised that the mare was racing in foal. Hung inwards near the 1800 metres and had to be steadied. Raced wide until reaching the parked position near the 800 metres. Broke when being shifted outwards by VINNIE RULZ (B Hope) near the 250 metres checking TURKISH TROUSERS. Stewards questioned drivers B Weaver and B Hope (assisted by senior reinsman J Dunn) in relation to this incident and after hearing evidence tendered along with viewing all available films Mr Weaver admitted driving carelessly at this stage of the race by failing to concede his position with the JCA suspending his horseman's licence from the conclusion of racing today up to and including the NZMTC's meeting on the 21st December (3 days) .
CALENDAR GIRLZ - raced wide until reaching the parked position near the 900 metres. Weakened concluding stages.
