BURST OUT LAUGHING - driver R May admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) in that he used his whip on more occasions than permitted by Clause (b) of the Use of Whip Regulations. After submissions on penalty the JCA suspended Mr May's Horseman's Licence from the conclusion of racing on 9 December up to and including 21 December 2018 (4 days). | |
FLYIN MILLY MAC - held up final bend by a tiring runner. When questioned regarding the performance, driver T Williams reported the mare to have raced in similar fashion to last week when racing keenly throughout and disappointed over the final stages. Stewards will follow up the recovery of the mare with trainer C Dalgety in the coming days. | |
SANTANNA MACH - when questioned regarding the improved performance, trainer M House reported the gelding to have been racing well without luck and noted the gelding to have been held up on occasions in recent racing. Mr House added he had been confident of a forward showing today. | |

LIGHTWORKOFIT - a false start was declared after LIGHTWORKOFIT broke in the score up checking MAJESTIC HURRICANE dislodging driver K Barron. Sent to the unruly position for the re-start. Broke again in the score up for the re-start checking the trailing SCARLETT BANNER resulting in another false start being declared. Declared a late scratching by Stewards under Rule 857(3)(j). Stood down pending a satisfactory trial and declared unruly for future mobile starts. | |

MAJESTIC HURRICANE - checked in the score up with driver K Barron being dislodged then galloped driverless for a considerable distance before making heavy contact with the birdcage gate when in the process of being re-captured. Declared a late scratching by order of Stewards. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a superficial abrasion on the right hock. Driver K Barron was examined by St John Paramedics and unharmed in this incident. | |
