Trainer C Markham advised Stewards on 28 November that STORM ALERT has been treated for a respiratory infection since racing at Orari on 24 November.

Race 1GRAPHITE DEVELOPMENTS SHOW DAY FUTURITY CONSOLATION MOB PACEVideo  Video 
GOOD ON YA KIWI - hung and raced roughly throughout the score up. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the entire. Raced roughly in the early stages having to be restrained and losing ground in consequence. Trainer R Holmes advised he would be adding hopple shorteners to the horse's gear.
DOMINA - paced roughly throughout. Raced keenly when being restrained to surrender the parked position near the 1300 metres.
FRANCO NUBOLT - raced roughly on the final bend. When spoken to regarding the performance, driver C Thornley advised the gelding had travelled poorly throughout and he had been disappointed with its effort. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a poor recovery and Stewards will follow up with the connections in the coming days.
BRUCELLE - underwent a pre-race Veterinary examination due to having not competed since December 2017. Weakened near the 300 metres.
JACK'S SHADOW - held up by a tiring runner leaving the final bend costing the gelding some momentum.
COURT ON THE EDGE - hampered in the early stages. Raced wide from the 1150 metres.

ONE OVER DA STARS - broke shortly after the start. A warning was placed on the mare's barrier record. Broke for a short distance after entering the final straight having to be steadied. Driver R May reported he did not activate the deafeners due to having the field covered. Stewards lodged a protest against the mare's 1st placing on the grounds that it had galloped for 160 metres soon after the start. After reviewing the films and hearing from co-trainer G Hope, ONE OVER DA STARS was disqualified by the JCA.
TONIQUE DE FEU - raced roughly when tried with the whip in the early stages of the run home then broke a short distance afterwards passing the 100 metres.
HONEYS SON - raced wide in the early stages.
THE BLOSS - briefly had to be steadied when under pressure near the 120 metres when runners either side shifted ground marginally.
SPEEDY COMMAND - broke late in the score up losing considerable ground. A final warning was placed on the mare's barrier record.
JERRY GARCIA - raced wide in the early and middle stages.

FLYIN MILLY MAC - weakened passing the 300 metres. When spoken to regarding the performance, driver T Williams advised that the mare had raced aggressively throughout the race. Trainer's representative A Grieve reported the mare had raced keenly and will carry on with the current race preparation.
FRANCO HAMPTON - lay outwards throughout with this causing driver J Curtin considerable difficulty through the back straight on the final occasion with the gelding losing ground in consequence. Raced keenly on the final bend. Continued to lay outwards through the final straight and was held up. Driver J Curtin reported the gelding had hung throughout. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
GLOBAL DOMINATION - raced wide early stages.
SHILLELAGH - raced wide early stages.
PATS DRAGON - there was a delay of five minutes when the gelding got its tongue over the bit and had to be returned to the stables for this to be corrected. Passed a pre-race veterinary check when making contact with the outside rail when this gear was being attended to. Raced keenly in the early stages. Continued to over-race middle stages.
SAILS - broke for several strides late in the score and then raced roughly for some distance losing its chance. When questioned regarding the performance, driver S Ottley advised that due to the delay to the start she felt the horse may have tied up. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. A final warning was placed on the mare's barrier record.
 
Race 4HYNDS PIPE SYSTEMS HANDICAP TROTVideo  Video 
ONE NIGHT OUT - raced keenly when attempting to surrender the lead near the 2400 metres. Lay inwards under pressure on the final bend and struck several pylons.
IDLE MOOSE - lay outwards through the back straight on the final occasion. When questioned regarding the improved performance, trainer R Austin explained the gelding had been able to adopt its preferred racing style of being situated close to the pace from its front line draw this evening. He also added that the gelding had been unsuited to the heavy track conditions at Geraldine at its last start.
MAJESTIC HURRICANE - broke at the start losing considerable ground. 5th stake was withheld until it could be confirmed that the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horse Regulations in the early stages.
DIDJABRINGTHEBEERS - driver K Butt (assisted by Senior Horseman J Cox) admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) in that she used her whip on more occasions than permitted by Clause (b) of the Use of Whip Regulations. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty, the JCA suspended her Junior Horsewoman's Licence from the conclusion of racing on 7 December up to and including 14 December 2018 (3 days).
SCARLETT BANNER - switched to a pace after having to shift around a wayward runner at the start losing its chance.

DIVINIA BELLEZZA - raced keenly in the middle stages.
SON OF A TIGER - weakened from the 400 metres, When questioned regarding the performance, driver B Butt advised he was disappointed with the gelding's effort and undertook to notify Stewards of anything which may come to light in the coming days to explain the performance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
NOTA BENE DENARIO - had some difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the early stages of the run home.
APOCALYPSE - out of position at the start. Driver J Geddes was warned to make a better effort. Raced wide in the early stages until being restrained to last near the 1300 metres.
MONGOLIAN CAVALRY - lost contact with the mobile in the early stages of the score up despite the efforts of driver B Orange eventually starting several lengths out of position. A warning was placed on the colt's barrier record.
STATELY - bucked and attempted to kick out on several occasions in the early stages of the score up but recovered its position by the candy pole. A warning was placed on the mare's barrier record.

CAST NO SHADOW - locked wheels for a short distance near the 350 metres.
STARS TONIGHT - locked wheels for a short distance near the 350 metres. When spoken to regarding the performance, driver R Houghton advised the gelding had travelled lethargically throughout and believed it was the stable's intention to send the horse for a spell. A post-race veterinary examination showed no obvious abnormalities. Mr Houghton admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) in that he used his whip on more occasions than permitted by Clause (b) of the Use of Whip Regulations. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the JCA suspended his Horseman's Licence from the conclusion of racing on 2 December up to and including 19 December 2018 (7 days).
ROCKNROLL KING - broke approaching the 1600 metres losing all chance. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing record.

ED WOOD - broke in the score up causing interference to CELTIC THUNDER on the 2nd line with a false start being declared. Sent to the unruly where it will remain for future mobile starts. Trotted roughly and raced keenly throughout. A post-race veterinary examination showed the gelding to have suffered an atrial fibrillation with the gelding stood down pending a post exercise veterinary examination.
JOUR HIGHNESS - the connections advised the mare would be racing without hind shoes. Trotted roughly under pressure on the final bend and broke for several strides shifting inwards and making contact with several track markers.
MONRIKA - raced wide early stages.
RACHMANINOV - raced wide early stages.
MY EYRE - broke in the score up at the first attempt at a start. Driver P Davis elected to move to the unruly position for the re-start. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier record.
THEODOSIA - raced wide in the early stages. Broke passing the 900 metres losing ground.
LOVEY DOVEY MOMENT - raced wide early and middle stages. Broke briefly upon entering the final straight before briefly returning to a trot before breaking again for a short distance. The all clear was delayed until it could be confirmed the gelding had not galloped in excess of 50 metres.
NO FEARS - raced keenly in the early stages then raced fiercely passing the 1300 metres causing driver J Morrison considerable difficulty.
 
Race 8ALABAR SIRES' STAKES FILLIES HEAT (MOBILE PACE)Video  Video 
MAMMA KNOWS BEST - hampered immediately prior to the start having to be steadied. Stewards withheld the payment of dividends until they had reviewed the films and spoken to driver M Williamson regarding the start of this race. Mr Williamson advised that despite being inconvenienced he felt his chances had not been materially prejudiced with dividends declared accordingly. Shifted inwards abruptly near the 150 metres after the blinds had been activated and the horse was tried with the whip. A warning was placed on the filly's racing record. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination with no obvious abnormalities found.
MARIANNA BROMAC - hung inwards through the score up and then shifted inwards prior to release inconveniencing an inside runner. Driver S McNally reported the filly had not coped well with the addition of blinds for tonight's race. A warning was placed on the filly's barrier record. Weakened passing the 300 metres.
ALLABOUTDREAMS - badly held up on the final bend and in the early stages of the run home.
OLIVIA RACHEL - checked passing the 150 metres and was heavily restrained.

MORDECAI - raced wide early stages.
BETTOR BACKIM - broke briefly in the score up when the extension on the outside of the mobile arm made contact with the outside fence. Raced wide early stages.
DADNDAVE - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver R May.
SLICK JOE - over-raced middle stages. When spoken to regarding the performance, driver N Purdon reported the gelding to have travelled lethargically throughout and disappointed him with its efforts over the final stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities and Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming week.
