Race 1 - WHAT THE HILL 'NEW TO WOODLANDS' TROT
Stewards have concluded an investigation into the amount of vigour displayed by R Allen in the home straight when driving COUNT EYRE. After reviewing replays of the gelding's racing history and considering the explanation of Mr Allen, Stewards took the matter no further however advised Mr Allen that he must not drive in a manner that leaves himself open to query.

OUT OF THE SHADOWS - weakened from the 500 metres.
FUTURA EASTON - broke in the score up losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the gelding's mobile barrier record. Weakened from the 900 metres.
CANDIDASA - hung outward in the score up and at various stages throughout the race. Driver M Williamson was spoken to and warned to start from the correct barrier position.
REATTORE - Driver S McNally was spoken to and warned to start from the correct barrier position. Under pressure leaving the final bend.
IVE ALREADY TOLD YOU - Driver B Orange reported he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.

HALFWAY THERE - broke near the 250 metres.
MASIES PRIDE - placed in restricted room racing into the first bend and broke after making contact with the sulky wheel of COSMIC SUN (B Orange). Stewards questioned Drivers R Heads (MASIES PRIDE) assisted by C McDowell and B Orange regarding this incident. After viewing the replays and hearing from all parties it was established that COSMIC SUN had hung inwards and failed to respond to the attempts of Mr Orange to shift the horse wider on the track resulting in MASIES PRIDE being checked. A warning was placed on the racing record of COSMIC SUN.
PIRI PIRI - broke near the 1800 metres and again near the 200 metres.
COSMIC SUN - hung inwards racing into the first bend checking inside runner despite the efforts of Driver B Orange. Broke near the 800 metres.
LUCKY STRIDE - hampered by a breaking runner passing the 800 metres. Trotted roughly at various stages over the last 800 metres.
LOOK BOTH WAYS - broke near the 400 metres.
AYUTTHAYA - trotted roughly throughout and failed to maintain contact with the field. Broke passing the 700 metres.
NORDIC PRINCE - raced wide through the middle stages. Broke near the 450 metres. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing record.

MINI MINE YET - raced greenly late in the score up.
A R ROSE - raced wide through the middle stages. Weakened from the 600 metres. When spoken to regarding the mare's performance Driver S Ottley reported the horse had raced lethargically throughout and had been disappointing. A post race Veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. Driver S Ottley defended a charge issued under Rule 869(2) and the Use of Whip Regulations (f) for the manner she used her whip prior to the 400 metres. After viewing the replays and hearing the evidence, the JCA upheld the charge and imposed a fine of $200.
SZYBKA LANE - raced wide in the early stages. Weakened from the 400 metres.
BULLYS PRINCESS - hung inwards final bend.
IRON WOMAN - hampered by weakening runner near the 300 metres.
SHERRY BABY - paced roughly at various stages of the race. Broke at the 1400 metres and again at the 800 metres. A warning was placed on the mare's racing record.

TACT DENZEL - weakened from the 300 metres. Trainer M Saunders reported that he would no longer persevere with the gelding as a racing proposition from his stable.
DAYS OF CHANGE - over-raced through the middle stages.
STAR RULER - raced greenly at various stages throughout the race when leading.
KANSAS CITY JIM - Driver M Williamson reported that the gelding had hung inwards throughout the run home. Mr Williamson will be spoken to regarding the manner he drove inside the final 400 metres.
MASTER MILANO - out of position at the Candy Pole and at dispatch with Driver G Telfer being issued a warning.
RIPSNORTER - hung inwards on the bend near the 1500 metres.
JAMIES BAD BOY - broke shortly after the start. Broke again near the 600 metres. A warning was placed on the gelding's mobile record.

DON'T LOOK BACK - the hanging bit was removed prior to the start due to the mare warming up unfavourably.
WAYWARD ROC - broke at the 500 metres with a final warning being placed on the mare's racing record.
IMRAN KHAN - broke at the start losing all chance.
CHEEKY PAT - broke at the start. Hung inwards around the bend at the 1200 metres. Weakened from the 600 metres.
RITEUR - broke near the 1900 metres and was shifted inside the marker line by Driver J Morrison to avoid trailing runners. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare. Authorisation of 1st place was withheld until Stewards had viewed a replay of the early stages and were satisfied that the mare had complied with the Breaking Horse Regulations and had not gained an advantage when racing inside the marker line when in a break.
EDEN CREEK - held up at the 200 metres.
MUSCLE PAT - broke passing the 1600 metres losing all chance.
LARCH - raced wide from the 1200 metres. Trotted roughly round final bend then weakened. Junior Driver L McKay advised that she was unable to activate the removable deafeners due to the cord becoming entangled.
MICHELLE - hung inwards at various stages throughout the running. Improved wide from the 1200 metres before breaking near the 900 metres.

LIVING LEGEND - crowded racing into the first bend. Hampered by weakening runner passing the 300 metres.
HOT STARFF - crowded racing into the first bend. Weakened from the 500 metres. When spoken to regarding the performance Driver S McNally advised he was disappointed with the effort of the mare and felt the horse may be better suited to being driven with a sit. A post race Veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
CLIFTON FLUTTER - raced wide in the early stages. Held up for racing room from the 300 metres.
MOTU SPEEDY STAR - Junior Driver B Laughton was warned for the manner he drove racing into the first bend when crowding inside runners.
ANNIE FITZ - Trainer R Wilson was spoken to and reminded of his obligations to inform Stewards of his mare racing in season.
DEN'S LEGACY - raced wide and paced roughly first bend. Severely checked by the breaking GO GETTA near the 700 metres and locked wheels.
GO GETTA - hung inwards in the score up and was out of position at the start. Placed on the unruly for future mobile starts. Hung inwards throughout the running causing Driver M Williamson difficulty. He reported that he had difficulty steering the gelding and would recommend gear changes to the trainer. Broke near the 750 metres locking wheels with a trailing runner. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing record.
VIGOROSO - out of position at the Candy Pole and at the dispatch. Over raced from the 1400 metres. Severely hampered by breaking runner near the 650 metres. A warning was placed on the gelding's mobile barrier record.
DYNAMO - Trainer J McDermott was charged a $25 colour fee.

BHAKTI - hung racing into the first bend.
AVEROSS FERRARI - hung outwards through the back straight on the final occasion pacing roughly.
POCKET CALL - over raced through the middle stages.
GEORGIE MARTIN - hung inwards final bend.
HONOUR SCROLL - hung inwards in the score up and was out of position at dispatch. Hung inwards around the bends. Weakened from the 250 metres.
FUN IN THE DARK - when spoken to regarding the improved performance of the mare Trainer M Purvis advised that he had changed the mare's training regime and felt the horse had responded well to being driven more conservatively in a lower grade of race.

DESPICABLE ME - held up final bend.
ALEXY - held up by tiring runner passing the 500 metres.
DYING TO SEE YOU - out of position at dispatch despite the efforts of Driver S Tomlinson. A warning was placed on the gelding's mobile barrier record.
ALLANDALE - raced wide in early stages. Gave ground from the 500 metres.
LEADING THE WAY - raced wide early stages. Over raced passing the 1700 metres when being restrained to the rear of the field. Paced roughly in the home straight.
GOTTA BE DOWNTOWN - hung outwards in the early stages and raced erratically throughout. Had difficulty obtaining clear racing room until late in the run home.
