Co-trainer M Purdon advised Stewards on 16 November that A BETTOR ACT was very tired following its race on Cup Day and will be given a brief freshener before resuming.

Race 1METROPOL MOBILE TROTVideo  Video 
SHE AINT NO ANGEL - trotted roughly in the run home and was unable to be placed under any significant pressure. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
WEE MAN TROUBLE - lay outwards throughout. Driver N Williamson reported the gelding to have steered erratically throughout giving him some difficulty.
GALLEONS GLORY - broke shortly after the start losing its chance. A warning was placed on the mare's barrier record.
TAIERI MISS - broke as the start was effected losing its chance. A warning was placed on the mare's barrier record. Placed on the unruly for future mobile and standing starts at the request of trainer M Palermo.
THEODOSIA - lay inwards and broke near the 200 metres after becoming awkwardly positioned close to the sulky of SHE'S ALLTHE CRAZE. Briefly disappointed for clear racing room near the 50 metres having to be restrained.
MONRIKA - got its head up and raced roughly through the back straight on the final occasion. Briefly hampered near the 500 metres having to be steadied for several strides.
LOTAMUSCLE - improved wide passing the 800 metres and trotted roughly until the 500 metres at which point the gelding broke losing its chance. When questioned regarding the performance, driver B Butt reported the horse had hung and trotted roughly throughout. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
SPRINGBANK LACHIE - raced wide in the early stages until reaching the lead near the 1300 metres. Driver M Williamson was spoken to regarding his gelding shifting several cart widths wider in the run home. Mr Williamson explained that on both occasions through the straight his horse had shifted outwards and then raced roughly when he had corrected its course. He added that he would be recommending the horse be tried with gaiting straps for its next start. Notwithstanding this Mr Williamson was advised that it was expected he make a better effort to maintain a straight course in future.

BRINGITONHOME - contacted the sulky of STAR COMMANDER shortly after the finish line and raced roughly.
TUAPEKA TRICK - raced roughly at the 70 metres after stepping over some debris which had blown onto the track.
MALIK - raced wide early stages.
GORE BAY - held up rounding the final bend.
STAR COMMANDER - held up until very late in the run home.
BETTOR MY DREAMZ - when spoken to regarding the performance, co-trainer and driver N Rasmussen reported the colt had hung badly throughout. She added that the horse would now be gelded and sent for a spell.
READY TO BLOOM - raced wide from the 400 metres.
 
Race 3MACCA LODGE 'TRAINED SOUTH OF THE WAITAKI' MOBILE PACEVideo  Video 
MACH'S BACK - lost the near front shoe near the 1300 metres.
MR KIWI - raced wide early stages.
TACT MAGGIE - raced wide early stages.
YOUNG CONQUEROR - raced wide and over-raced when being restrained in the early stages. Hampered by a breaking runner passing the 700 metres.
AVEROSS FERRARI - hampered by a breaking runner passing the 700 metres.
FIERY FERRET - hampered by a breaking runner passing the 700 metres.
ALEXY - broke near the 700 metres. Driver J Young reported the gelding had struck its knee.
PLEASE SHUDDUP - when questioned regarding the gelding's performance, driver N Williamson explained that it was not suited to the tempo of the race with the gelding over-racing as a result.

MCLOVIN - driver A Lethaby reported she sustained a punctured sulky tyre during the running.
ARNOLD - broke at the 2400 metres losing its chance. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing record.
OVER THE LOVE - raced wide from the 1500 metres. When questioned in regards to the performance driver B Orange was of the opinion that the gelding had not backed up from its run on Tuesday.
SUNDONS FLYER - driver J Young admitted that she had driven carelessly near the 1300 metres when allowing her runner to make contact with the sulky wheel of MCLOVIN. After submissions on penalty, the JCA suspended Miss Young's Horsewoman's Licence from the conclusion of racing on 16 November up to and including 24 November 2018 (2 days).
BELLES SON - raced wide from the 1600 metres.
SUNDEES SON - broke with 60 metres remaining and carried on in a gallop through to the finish line with the gelding disqualified from 4th placing by the JCA.
 
Race 5GRAPHITE DEVELOPMENTS SHOW DAY FUTURITY MOBILE PACEVideo  Video 
FRANCO RIOT shifted inwards in the early stages making heavy contact with TERE THE TERMINATOR which was taken inwards making heavy contact with FIRST CLASS LADY resulting in driver S Ottley being dislodged. Stewards stopped the race at this time. FIRST CLASS LADY galloped free of its driver for approximately 400 metres before being captured by the Clerk of the Course. Soon after this HELD TO RANSOM broke free of interference and fell to the track with DIVINIA BELLEZZA unable to avoid that fallen runner and was brought to the track also. Drivers R Close (HELD TO RANSOM) and T Chmiel (DIVINIA BELLEZZA) were both dislodged from their sulkies. Drivers R Close and S Ottley were checked by St John personnel and cleared to fulfill their remaining driving engagements. Driver T Chmiel was transferred to hospital for further assessment. Refer to summary for driver changes. All horses that took part in the re-start underwent a veterinary examination prior to being cleared to start.
HELD TO RANSOM - late scratched from the re-start on veterinary advice. A post-race veterinary examination revealed multiple abrasions. Must trial to the satisfaction of Stewards once a veterinary clearance has been received.
TERE THE TERMINATOR - late scratched after pulling up lame in the second preliminary. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a flexor tendon injury to the left fore leg with a veterinary clearance required.
FRANCO RIOT - sent to the unruly for the re-start where it will remain for future mobile events.
POCKET CALL - over-raced early and middle stages. Raced fiercely when driver S Tomlinson attempted to surrender the parked position near the 1000 metres.
DIVINIA BELLEZZA - late scratched from the re-start on veterinary advice.
FIRST CLASS LADY - underwent a veterinary examination after escaping driverless and was cleared for the re-start.
 
Race 6FAHEY FENCE HIRE MOBILE PACEVideo  Video 
HENRY HUBERT - paced roughly at the 150 metres.
BETTOR JOY - driver A Butt was cautioned for the manner he drove between the 1400 metres and 1300 metres when shifting inwards despite not being sufficiently clear of ELLE MAC who had to be restrained to the back of the field.
 
Race 7PEEK EXHIBITION - ALF HUGHES MEMORIAL MOBILE TROTVideo  Video 
GLOBE TREKKER - broke after 150 metres losing considerable ground.
TIJUANA TAXI - broke at the start losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the mare's barrier record.
IZMOK - locked wheels with MAJESTIC HURRICANE in the early stages having to be steadied. Again locked wheels with MAJESTIC HURRICANE on the final bend. Trotted roughly over the final stages.
SCARLETT BANNER - checked in the middle stages of the score up and switched to a pace losing its chance. Stewards delayed the all clear until they had spoken to driver G Smith regarding this and after reviewing the films deemed SCARLETT BANNER to be a non-runner.
DIDJABRINGTHEBEERS - J Dunn was an authorised late driver change. Had some difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the early stages of the run home.
DE VITO - hampered on the final bend and had to shift ground outwards abruptly.
MAJESTIC HURRICANE - locked wheels with IZMOK (C DeFilippi) in the early stages losing ground. Stewards spoke with drivers K Barron and C DeFilippi regarding this incident and after doing so adjourned the matter to make further inquiries. Lay inwards on the final bend and again locked wheels with IZMOK.
 
Race 8THE RECRUITMENT NETWORK HANDICAP PACEVideo  Video 
There was a five minute delay to the start due to a power outage in the main stand.
ENCHANTEE - broke at the start
KARDESLER - broke at the start.
MIGHTY SANTANA - fractious prior to the start.
FUNATTHEBEACH - broke at the start and was then hampered in the early stages by a breaking runner shifting outwards.
HAYDEN'S MEDDLE - broke at the start. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier record.
ALTA MAESTRO - broke at the start. Over-raced middle stages. Lay inwards over the final stages.
BAILEYS KNIGHT - broke after 200 metres. Broke again at the 1200 metres. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing record.
 
Race 9'USED TO ME' AT HARAS des TROTTEURS DOMINION TROT (STAND)Video  Video 
The start was delayed two minutes at the request of the TAB.
MONTY PYTHON - took fright at the release of the barrier and shifted outwards causing the gelding to be slow in the early stages and get back. Over-raced middle stages.
LEMOND - shifted inwards placing ALDERBECK and RONALD J in restricted room near the 50 metres. M McKendry admitted a careless driving charge and after considering all submissions the JCA suspended his horsemans license from the conclusion of racing on this day until the conclusion of racing on the 30th of November. The all clear was delayed until Stewards could view the final stages and were satisfied that despite trotting roughly the gelding had been in the correct gait at the line and had broken soon after.
EVERYBODY KNOWS - held up for clear running throughout the final straight. Driver R May advised the deafeners were not activated in consequence.
HARRIET OF MOT - broke after 150 metres losing considerable ground. Again broke near the 150 metres.
ALDERBECK - raced in restricted room and locked wheels with RONALD J at the 50 metres and could not be fully driven out.
AMARETTO SUN - broke at the start. Hampered near the 900 metres.
RONALD J - locked wheels with ALDERBECK at the 50 metres.
TEMPORALE - driver T Herlihy advised he was disappointed with the performance. He added that the horse was fresh up after recovering from a lung infection. A post-race veterinary examination including an endoscopic examination revealed no abnormalities.
HEY YO - held up for clear running throughout the final straight.
GREAT THINGS HAPPEN - Stewards looked into a potential breach of the Push Out Rule near the 2800 metres when the gelding shifted away from the marker line which caused LEMOND to race wider. Stewards were satisfied however that LEMOND had not been improving its position at the time. A post race veterinary examination revealed a respiratory infection and a clearance will be required prior to resuming. Trainer G Smith advised the gelding will be sent for a spell.
KYVALLEY BLUR - driver A Butt was issued with a caution for allowing his runner to trail a sulky wheel for a short distance passing the 1000 metres which hampered trailing runners.
MARCOOLA - had to be steadied passing the 900 metres after being shifted wider by KYVALLEY BLUR becoming awkwardly positioned close to that runner's sulky.
LE LIEVRE'S GIFT - hampered near the 900 metres.
WOODSTONE - broke at the start. Again broke on the final bend when in tight quarters.
 
Race 10NEVELE R SIRES' STAKES SOUTHERN MARES CLASSIC MOBILE PACEVideo  Video 
SHARNAE - broke at the start and shifted outwards. Broke again at the re-start inconveniencing MOSSDALE ROSE with a 2nd false start declared. Sent to the unruly position for the second re-start where it will remain.
SWEET MARY - a false start was declared when SWEET MARY struck the barrier and broke checking SHARNAE. Driver M Williamson elected to remain in his barrier position for the re-start. Struck several pylons near the 1700 metres when racing in restricted room on the inside of TYRON BETTOR'S ELLA.
TYRON BETTOR'S ELLA - driver R Houghton was severely reprimanded for the manner he drove racing into the first bend when placing an inside runner in restricted room causing it to brush against several pylons. Gave ground passing the 600 metres.
KENSINGTON KATE - hampered after 150 metres.
DELIGHT MY SOUL - broke after 150 metres.
MOSSDALE ROSE - lay inwards over the concluding stages.
 
Race 11WOODLANDS NZ FREE-FOR-ALL (MOBILE PACE)Video  Video 
The start was delayed three minutes at the request of the TAB.
TURN IT UP - lay inwards near the 180 metres.
PAT'S DELIGHT - held up round the final bend.
TIGER TARA - raced wide in the early stages before being taken forward to race outside the leader approaching the 1200 metres. Weakened leaving the final bend. When spoken to regarding the entire's performance, driver T McCarthy reported his horse had to work hard in the early stages to take up a forward position and in comparison to Tuesday's run, had not travelled well at any stage. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a poor recovery.

STOMPEM - hung inwards under pressure on the final bend striking track markers. Driver G Smith reported his rein had become entangled temporarily removing his ability to steer the gelding.
RUBY ROSE - raced wide early and middle stages until being taken forward to race outside the leader near the 1700 metres.
MARTIN JOHN - over-raced middle stages.
DOCTOR TIM - raced wide early stages. Had to be steadied when awkwardly positioned close to the back of COPPERHEAD ROSE near the 2100 metres.
BOUNTY LADY - had to be steadied near the 2100 metres.
NOTA BENE DENARIO - J Cox was an authorised late driver change. Raced roughly when having to be steadied near the 2100 metres.
GYPSY'S CHOICE - hung outwards and raced roughly in the early stages.
HE'S A LADIES MAN - raced fiercely through the middle stages causing driver C Thornley considerable difficulty near the 1000 metres. Mr Thornley advised the gelding had struck its own wheel causing it to puncture.
COPPERHEAD ROSE - driver J Keast was reprimanded for the manner in which he used his whip throughout the final straight with specific reference to the force.
MONGOLIAN CAVALRY - broke briefly when there was an easing of the pace at the 2100 metres. Lay inwards throughout the final straight.
