Race 7 - NET TEN EOM AT MACCA LODGE JUNIOR DRIVERS MOBILE PACE
Co-trainer K Barclay advised Stewards on 9 November that following its disappointing performance MACANDREW MAJIC underwent a veterinary examination which revealed the gelding to have a hock issue which has since been treated.

Trainer M Denton advised Stewards on 9 November that CLIFTON TACTIC was found to be in season following her performance at Ascot Park on 4 November and has been sent for a spell.

ANOTHERSUPERSTAR - broke briefly near the 1300 metres and again passing the 300 metres.
GRACE O'MALLEY - broke after 100 metres losing considerable ground. Weakened on the final bend.
DIPENDRA - driver R Stevens was warned for the manner he drove passing the 800 metres when allowing his horse to trail the sulky wheel of SPOTLIGHT THE VALLEY.
ZOEY'S GIFT - driver M Williamson reported he did not activate the removable deafeners applied to the mare due to having the field covered.
AMABEDE - weakened on the final bend.

AMBASSADOR - held up on the final bend. Trainer/driver N Williamson reported that a hopple side carrier had broken during the running. The gear was inspected and found to be of good quality.
BATTLE AXE - held up leaving the final bend.
KANSAS CITY JIM - weakened on the final bend.
RAKABEAMER - raced wide in the early stages.
TAD LINCOLN - raced greenly rounding the final bend and in the home straight.
MAAHES - hung inwards in the score-up and was back slightly at the start. Again hung inwards in the home straight when being shifted wider on the track to obtain clear running.
DAYS OF CHANGE - fractious prior to the start and was very slow to leave the pre-race circle however was able to take up its allocated position.
FLAMING JIM - raced wide in the early stages.
WOLFENSTEIN - broke in the score-up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Shifted outwards abruptly and broke on the bend near the 600 metres despite the efforts of driver J Morrison, losing its chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the horse. Mr Morrison advised he would be recommending gear changes prior to the gelding's next start.

SHERRY BABY - held up for clear racing room in the home straight.
TANGO DANCER - broke at the start and shifted outwards. Hung inwards over the concluding stages when being driven out. Driver M Williamson was warned to make a greater effort to maintain a straight course in the run home.
KING EROS - hampered between runners at the start losing ground.
LAST HARAH - began awkwardly and shifted inwards at the start. Had to be steadied near the 200 metres when briefly crowded for racing room. Held up for clear racing room throughout the home straight.
ABSOLUT RUSSIAN - hung inwards leaving the final bend.
HOT SUMMERS DELIGHT - weakened on the final bend.
ROMY FRANCO - lay outwards throughout the run home.
RAFFY ROO - broke at the start and failed to settle, losing its chance. Driver A Beck advised he would be recommending hopple shorteners be added to the gelding's gear.
SQUARE DEALER - tangled away. Lay inwards near the 200 metres.

LISA ROCKS - hung inwards rounding the final bend when weakening and struck several pylons. Driver E Swain was warned for using his whip when out of contention.
HANS IDEAL - raced wide in the early stages. Held up by a tiring runner rounding the final bend.
A ROCKNROLL MAID - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver M Williamson. Failed to maintain contact with the field from the 1200 metres. A warning was placed on the racing performance of the filly. Driver M Williamson advised he would be recommending blinds be added to the gear of the filly.
KOTIRO - raced wide until reaching the parked position near the 900 metres. When spoken to regarding the reason the hopple shorteners were not activated on the mare, junior driver E Barron, with the assistance of C Barron explained that KOTIRO had paced roughly at the workouts leading into today's race however as it had been pacing well during the running she felt it was her best option to leave the hopple shorteners in place. After hearing from Miss Barron the Stewards took the matter no further.
THISLADYROCKS - broke near the 1300 metres losing its chance and eventually being retired from the event. Co-trainer G Knight reported he would no longer be persevering with the mare as a racing proposition from his stable. Stood down to complete one satisfactory trial prior to racing next.
MYRCELLA - held up by a tiring runner rounding the final bend.
RAZCAL ALLEY - held up in the early stages of the run home.
ROCKABILLY BLUES - lay inwards leaving the final bend.

TOBY O'GARA - paced roughly near the 1900 metres.
IDEAL FOR SURE - broke at the start. Weakened leaving the final bend.
QUEEN OF THE NITE - stood on the mark and was slow through the early stages.
UNLOADED - broke at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
MUCHO MACHO MAN - stood on the mark and was slow through the early stages. Held up in the early stages of the run home.
BLACK OPS - weakened on the final bend. When spoken to regarding the performance trainer C Barron advised he was disappointed with the effort and added that the gelding had been slow to recover. Stewards will follow up with Mr Barron in the coming days.
 
Race 6HE'S WATCHING AT ALABAR MOBILE PACEVideo  Video 
EL CAPITAN - broke late in the score-up checking second line runners resulting in a false start being declared. Driver B Barclay elected to remain in his allocated position for the restart. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Over-raced on the final bend when held up by a tiring runner. Broke briefly before pacing roughly for a distance near the 400 metres and had to be steadied. Driver B Barclay reported the gelding had been cross firing and cast a shoe as a result.
THE HEART RULZ - Trainer B Gray requested a post-race veterinary examination of the gelding which revealed lacerations to the back of the right cannon and to the inside of the left fore heel, consistent with over reaching.
LADY'S LASS - weakened on the final bend.
MATINEE IDOL - raced wide in the early stages. Weakened on the final bend. Broke late in the run home. When spoken to regarding the performance driver M Williamson explained the gelding had hung out badly during the running. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
NIGHTMARCH - over-raced through the middle stages.
BOLD RULER - broke in the score-up and failed to settle, losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
SHEEZUS - held up leaving the final bend.
KAGEE VC - raced wide from the 1300 metres.

SPUR ME ON GENTLY - broke racing into the first bend and again near the 1900 metres, losing its chance.
HELLUVA WAY - hampered by a breaking runner near the 400 metres.
RITEUR - trotted roughly shortly after the start and had to be steadied.
NOBLE GAMBLE - broke shortly after the start losing its chance.
CASCADIA - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start. Weakened on the final bend.
MATAI JETSTAR - broke near 400 metres.
THE BADGER - raced wide in the early stages.
PAT THE MONKEY - raced wide through the early and middle stages.
WHATASISTA - held up on the final bend.

SWAP OVER - Out of position at the start despite the efforts of junior driver K Butt. Broke shortly after the start checking a trailing runner. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
IDEAL DRAW - weakened on the final bend. When spoken to regarding the performance driver J Morrison advised he was disappointed with the effort however could offer no explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.

GLACIER COASTER - Junior driver K McNaught with the assistance of S Walkinshaw was shown a replay and warned to exercise care when shifting ground near the 300 metres.
BETTERTHANBRIE - hung inwards racing into the first bend momentarily locking sulky wheels with RAKSBET. Raced wide through the early and middle stages.
DACHY - raced wide in the early stages.
DALLAS GRIMES - Trainer M Brown was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice after presenting the mare to race without the notified Sliding Blinds. Had to be steadied near the 150 metres when crowded for racing room.
RAKSBET - briefly locked wheels with BETTERTHANBRIE racing into the first bend. Raced wide in the early stages. Weakened leaving the final bend. When spoken to regarding the performance Junior driver E Barron advised the mare had worked hard throughout with the effort taking its toll over the concluding stages. Miss Barron, who declined the assistance of a senior horseman, admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) in that she used her whip on more occasions than permitted by Clause (b) of the Use of Whip Regulations. After viewing replays and hearing submissions on penalty the JCA imposed a fine of $200.
