RAVE NATION - Driver D Butcher advised that the removable deafeners failed to release after the cord became entangled.
GREY STOKE - slow away. Broke rounding the first bend losing ground before settling at the rear.
MONSEIGNEUR - held up home turn and again throughout the run home.
SIR HENRY CASTLETON - broke approaching the 700 metres after throwing a shoe losing its chance.
SIR GEORGE BOWEN - subsequent to the meeting it was established that the near side sulky shaft came adrift from the quickhitch harness rounding the first turn. Trainer/driver D Balle is to be interviewed in relation to the matter at the Auckland TC's meeting to be held 16/11/18.

GRIN FOR GOLD - inconvenienced in the trail when the pace was eased at the 1800 metres. Over-raced middle stages. Gave ground inside the final 600 metres inconveniencing trailing runners and was pulled up. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer K Marshall advised that the gelding is to be spelled.
PHILLYDOTCOM - after racing without cover weakened inside the final 300 metres inconveniencing a trailing runner.
MEERA - paced roughly after the start approaching the first bend. Inconvenienced by a tiring runner inside the 300 metres.
MUSTANG SALLY - Driver Z Butcher was cautioned in regard to the manner he eased the pace after reaching the lead passing the 1800 metres inconveniencing trailing runners.
COOL AND CALCULATING - lay in and paced roughly when being restrained shortly after the start. Paced roughly approaching the 200 metres after its off hind contacted the sulky wheel of ARTY PHARTY which was inclined to lay in.
YSHADOWME - inconvenienced when there was an easing of the pace inside the 1800 metres. Badly inconvenienced inside the 600 metres by a tiring runner.
BETTOR EDITION - inconvenienced by a tiring runner inside the 600 metres.
SARABI - contacted the sulky of BETTOR EDITION when there was an easing of the pace inside the 600 metres. Junior Driver F Schumacher was cautioned to show greater awareness in similar circumstances in the future.

The start was aborted early in the score up after WOMENINLEAGUE and BUGALUGS locked sulky stays when moving away from the pre-race circle causing a delay.
BANNER OF ART - inclined to lay in when racing outside the leader over the early and middle stages. Lay in again on the final turn.
WOMENINLEAGUE - Trainer A Donnelly was fined $100 for presenting the mare without the notified blinds.

THE BATMOBILE - raced greenly in the score up and was a length out of position at the start.
G B MAVERICK - raced without cover from the 1400 metres but failed to run on finishing in 7th place beaten 5.4 lengths. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer/driver K Marshall advised that he was disappointed with the performance and would be having the gelding fully vetted subsequent to the meeting. Mr Marshall further undertook to advise Stewards if anything untoward surfaced.
IMASPORTSSTAR - held up racing into the final turn then shifted wide to obtain clear racing room.
 
Race 5KEMBLA NZ RACE MOBILE PACEVideo  Video 
M T POCKETS - inconvenienced by a tiring runner approaching the 900 metres.
RED TERROR - weakened inside 900 metres. A post race veterinary examination revealed a mucus discharge. Trainer K Marshall advised that the gelding would be spelled.
JAMIESON SHARD - paced roughly approaching the 2000 metres and lost ground. Junior Driver D Ferguson dropped his left foot from the sulky footrest briefly near the 1200 metres when activating gear. Weakened out inside the 900 metres. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities and also cleared the gelding to start in Race 10.
IDEAL HOLIDAY - lay in under pressure rounding the final turn.
DUN IT BAD - Junior driver F Schumacher was issued a caution to maintain his barrier position until the start in future.
IDEAL STAR - Junior driver C Smith advised that he did not activate the removable deafeners on the winner.

SUIDELIKE MAJOR - failed to get clear racing room throughout the run home.
MAJOR BLINK - held up early stages of the run home.
LA VITESSE - paced roughly in the score up and broke briefly prior to despatch losing ground. A warning was placed on the filly's mobile barrier manners.
ABOUT TURN - paced roughly for several strides racing into the first bend.
VINIBAKA - raced keenly middle stages. Held up over the early stages of the run home.
LUCAS HOOD - back from its unruly position at the start.

ABOVE THE REST - slow away. Broke approaching the first bend. Broke inside the final 150 metres.
DANKE - underwent a veterinary examination after racing in Race 1 and was scratched at 7.46pm as it had failed to recover sufficiently.
PRIMUS INTER PARES - Trainer R Paynter was fined $100 for presenting the gelding without the notified blinds.
NEED LUCK - broke at the start losing considerable ground and trailed the field.
BK SUPERSTAR - broke at the start losing its chance.
GERSHWIN - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the gelding's standing start manners.

ITSOKBEINGBETTER - over-raced middle stages. Junior driver D Ferguson advised that the blinds could not be activated as the release cord had become entangled.
ATOM HANOVER - held up early stages of the run home.
RUSSIAN ALSU - paced roughly rounding the final turn and was held up middle stages of the run home.
HELIX - raced three wide for the first 600 metres before crossing to race outside the leader.
BILL HALEY - held up rounding the final bend shifting wide on the track to get clear running.
LYNTON CREEK - held up throughout the run home.
SHANWAY - raced three wide until reaching the position outside the leader approaching the 1200 metres.

LINCOLN'S GIRL - after trailing early was shuffled back during the running and failed to run on finishing at the rear beaten 14.4 lengths. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. Driver Z Butcher advised the filly raced keenly in the middle stages and had disappointed when showing little when asked for an effort.

BEAT THE HEAT - broke shortly after the start settling midfield before breaking again briefly rounding the first bend
FRENCH AFFAIR - broke racing into the first bend losing considerable ground.
JAMIESON SHARD - broke shortly after the start failing to settle and was pulled up during the journey. The gelding was stood down from standing start trotting events until it trials satisfactorily.
I'M JUST AWESOME - held up early in the run home.
MADABOY - a false start was declared after MADABOY had become fractious and was in an incorrect position when the barriers were released. A warning was placed on the gelding's standing start manners. Broke passing the 700 metres losing all chance.
LITTLEBITOFLOVE - broke briefly passing the 400 metres and again near the 200 metres losing all chance.
