KASH VALLEY - lay outwards throughout the home straight.
WHO ME - broke on the first bend. Held up passing the 700 metres.
PIRI PIRI - broke at the start losing all chance.
KEN'S DREAM - broke on the first bend. Broke again near the 1400 metres and the 800 metres.
PASTRANA - broke at the start. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 1400 metres.
ZEDDIE MARIT - began awkwardly. Broke on the first bend and again near the 1800 metres. Stood down to trial satisfactorily on one occasion.
FLYIN MANDY - broke at the start. Co-trainer T Chmiel defended a breach of Rule 864(2)(d) after both hind bandages came adrift during the running. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence, the JCA found the charge proved and imposed a fine of $100.
EXCITE - weakened from the 600 metres.
ASTOUND - hung inwards rounding the first bend.
RAINING IN MY HEART - struck pylons on the first bend when placed in restricted room. Weakened from the 600 metres. Trotted roughly final bend.
CHAMPAGNE PRINCE - trotted roughly in the home straight.

CABAZON VICTORY - checked near the 1300 metres.
MATAU GEM - briefly hung inwards into the passing lane near the 250 metres. Junior driver D Keast, who declined assistance from a Senior Horseman, admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) in that he used his whip on more occasions than permitted by Clause (b) of the Use of Whip Regulations. After submissions on penalty, the JCA suspended his Horseman's Licence from the conclusion of racing today up to and including 15 November 2018 (4 days).
DEMETER - broke racing into the first bend checking a trailing runner. A warning was placed on the racing record of the filly. Trainer K Cox advised she would be adding a gaiting strap to the horse's gear.
THREE IDEAS - trainers G & N Hope were issued a $50 Minor Infringement Notice after being late to notify the gelding would be racing with a pacifier. Checked and broke racing into the first bend losing considerable ground.
SUPREME COMMANDER - shifted ground outwards near the 1300 metres checking CABAZON VICTORY. Driver J Morrison reported that the horse had reacted poorly to his efforts of attempting to improve outwards causing him difficulty. A warning was placed on the racing record of the entire.
SANTANNA LAD - out of position at the candy pole and start. Driver S Ottley was issued with a warning. Held up early stages of the run home.

A false start was declared after the boring pole on BREAK OUT became caught under the sulky shaft in the score up.
WESTY BOYZ - broke racing into the first bend checking trailing runners. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
BREAK OUT - checked and broke racing into the first bend. Held up early stages of the run home.
LEO'S GIFT - broke near the 250 metres.
GALLEONS GLORY - checked and broke racing into the first bend.
DIANA HARBOUR - hampered first bend. Hung inwards and broke near the 200 metres.
WESTEROS - hampered first bend. Broke near the 200 metres.
MICKEY JAY - checked first bend. Trotted roughly near the 200 metres.
RED HARBOUR - checked and broke racing into the first bend. Hampered near the 200 metres and switched to a pace before breaking.

ROSINUPTHEBOW - held up leaving the final bend.
TOP BRASS - unable to improve to the lead passing the 2100 metres despite the efforts of driver S O'Reilly. Raced fiercely through the middle stages and gave ground from the 700 metres. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Driver S O'Reilly advised she dropped her whip on the final bend.
I'M JIMMY JAMES - raced wide through the middle stages before weakening leaving the final bend.
SENORITA MARGARITA - broke at the start. Held up for clear racing room for the majority of the home straight.
REBEL WITH A GRIN - weakened leaving the final bend.
BOUND TO IMPRESS - driver J Versteeg admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) in that he used his whip on more occasions than permitted by Clause (b) of the Use of Whip Regulations. After submissions on penalty the JCA imposed a fine of $200.
SWEET MARYLOU - held up leaving the final bend.

ROCKNPOP - raced keenly through the middle stages. Held up early stages of the run home. Broke near the 200 metres hampering a trailing runner.
TEHORO DAZZLE - broke racing into the first bend losing considerable ground. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 200 metres. Driver R Holmes reported he sustained a punctured sulky tyre during the running. Stewards questioned R Holmes regarding the manner he drove on the final bend when electing not to improve wider on the track. Mr Holmes explained that he had been concerned at the amount of ground that the horse had lost when in a break and as the horse had been hanging inwards and travelling only fairly, he thought his best option was to improve inwards and save ground however he had been hampered by a breaking runner near the 200 metres and lost momentum. After hearing from Mr Holmes, Stewards took the matter no further.
PARADISE SPUR - broke near the 1600 metres losing all chance.
ALI LINDENNY - lay outwards throughout the home straight.
ERASER - treated by the Vet following the race for lameness in the off hind leg. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance.
BK DAWN - driver P Wakelin admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) in that she used her whip on more occasions than permitted by Clause (b) of the Use of Whip Regulations. After submissions on penalty the JCA imposed a fine of $300.
SUPERFAST NINJA - trotted roughly final bend and in the home straight. Driver B Williamson was warned for allowing his horse to start wider on the track than his allocated position.

JAFA KITTEN - broke at the start.
DREAM ON JAFFA - broke shortly after the start. Hung outwards rounding the final bend before weakening.
VICTOR TANGO - broke briefly at the start. Stewards questioned driver E Barron regarding her decision to shift out from the trail near the 1150 metres to race parked. Miss Barron explained that after she had restrained to take cover through the straight with a lap to run, the leader MANON THE RUN had raced greenly and eased the speed of the race. Miss Barron was of the opinion that due to this and considering that MANON THE RUN had worked hard in the middle stages she felt that runner may commence to tire and that it was in her best interests to ensure that she was not held up for clear running should this eventuate. After considering her explanation, Stewards took the matter no further.
FORMIDABLE FOE - broke at the start. Paced roughly final bend.
HOLD ON ARIZONA - fractious prior to the start and was sent to the unruly where it will remain for future standing starts. Paced roughly in the early stages.
IRON WOMAN - underwent and passed a veterinary examination prior to the start after having blood present in the mouth. Held up final bend.
BELLE MACH - broke at the start.
ONEDIN SMILER - held up final bend. Driver G Shand defended a breach of Rule 869(2) which alleged he used his whip on more occasions than permitted by Clause (b) of the Use of Whip Regulations. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence, the JCA found the charge proved and after submissions on penalty imposed a fine of $300.
JIMMY RICHTER - hampered shortly after the start. Held up final bend.
EMMA G - broke near the 400 metres when briefly crowded for racing room. When questioned regarding the mare's performance, driver A Lethaby reported that she was disappointed with the effort and would have blood tests taken in the coming days and report the findings to Stewards.
FLYINGMASTERWILLIAMS - hampered at the start.
MYTH OR REALITY - hampered by a breaking runner near the 400 metres. Had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the home straight.
MANON THE RUN - weakened final bend. Cleared from the unruly for future standing starts.

MY NIKAYLA - hung inwards racing into the first bend and had to be steadied.
FRANCO SHERBORNE - hung inwards in the home straight.
BAKER CREEK - when questioned regarding the improved performance, trainer/driver C McDowell reported he had changed the bit on the mare since its last start and that she had responded well to racing without removable deafeners.
BHAKTI - briefly placed in restricted room racing into the first bend.
LUCY DIAMOND - hampered near the 1800 metres. Over-raced early and middle stages.

SHADOW MINISTER - broke at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
BOOMER BAILEY - held up final bend.
HAYDEN'S MEDDLE - when questioned regarding the performance, driver J Dunn reported the gelding may have choked down after over-racing during the running. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
ALTA RONALDO - weakened final bend.

EXTRA GUINNESS - driver J Thomas advised he sustained a punctured sulky tyre during the running with the tube coming adrift.
THE GO TO MAN - weakened final bend. A post-race veterinary examination revealed lameness in the right hind leg. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance.
SWEET MARY - over-raced through the middle stages. Broke near the 650 metres checking RAINY RIVER. Stewards spoke with driver K Tomlinson regarding this. Miss Tomlinson advised her horse had been racing fiercely causing her considerable difficulty and had made contact with the sulky of EXTRA GUINNESS. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
PIRATE BAY - checked first bend. Over-raced middle stages.
TALL POPPY - checked first bend.
RAINY RIVER - checked first bend. Checked and broke near the 650 metres.
HIGHLAND REIGN - checked first bend.
FLASHING DIAMOND - underwent a veterinary examination prior to the start after falling to the track and was cleared to start. Over-raced early and middle stages. Junior driver S Payne, who declined assistance from a Senior Horseman, admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) in that he used his whip on more occasions than permitted by Clause (b) of the Use of Whip Regulations. After submissions on penalty the JCA imposed a fine of $300.
IDEOLOGIST - broke racing into the first bend with trailing runners being checked. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. Trainer P Robertson advised he would consider taking the horse to the trials prior to resuming.
OVERARM - checked first bend. Junior driver N Purdon, who declined assistance from a Senior Horseman, admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) in that he used his whip on more occasions than permitted by Clause (b) of the Use of Whip Regulations. After submissions on penalty the JCA imposed a fine of $300.

HUEY LEWIS - broke at the start. Paced roughly through the middle stages. Weakened final bend. When questioned regarding the performance, driver J Dunn could offer no explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.

GOD ONLY KNOWS - over-raced middle stages. Hung inwards in the early stages of the run home when being shifted wider on the track.
