ASH - stood on the mark and was slow away before breaking losing considerable ground and its chance. | |
KD HALL - Trainer T Vince was questioned in regard to the gelding's improved performance and he stated that as previously advised the gelding had had its fetlocks injected and had raced with several corrective gear changes, namely the addition of a boring pole, gaiting strap and rein burr. Mr Vince further advised that he had changed the gelding's shoeing which had proved beneficial. | |

MAGILLIGAN POINT - raced without cover after unsuccessfully contesting for the lead but only battled in the run home finishing in 10th place beaten 6 lengths. When questioned regarding the performance Trainer/Driver J Stormont stated that the race had not been run to suit when left outside the leader. | |

CHECK IN - Junior Driver J MacKinnon was questioned regarding the tactics he adopted near the 1600 metres when electing to hold the lead when briefly challenged by MAGILLIGAN POINT. Mr MacKinnon stated that after having worked forward from the second row draw he had been able to find the front when Driver Z Butcher (RAIN MAN) elected to hand up and then felt that his best option was to hold the lead when challenged by MAGILLIGAN POINT rather than risk being shuffled further back however his gelding had then commenced to over race which had taken its toll over the final stages. | |
