| ABOVE THE REST - worked forward to lead near the 1700 metres. Trailed from the 1100 metres but was under pressure leaving the back straight to finish in the rear. A post-race veterinary examination revealed minor swelling with a skin scrape to its left hind leg. | |

| LUCAS HOOD - paced roughly and broke over the early stages. The gelding was declared unruly for mobile starts and the trainer advised he would be making an addition of removable deafeners to its gear. | |

| THE BLUE BEAT - raced greenly in the score-up and was back a length at dispatch. Paced roughly near the 1600 metres before improving to lead. Raced greenly at various stages when leading. Broke passing the 40 metres and shifted out locking wheels with BUGALUGS. Authorisation of second placing was withheld until it was confirmed that the filly had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation when galloping over the final stages. A warning was placed on the filly's racing manners. | |
| BUGALUGS - checked and locked wheels on reaching the finishing line which resulted in Driver P Ferguson being tipped from the sulky. Mr Ferguson was examined by St. John's Ambulance staff and cleared to fulfill his remaining engagements. | |

| SPIRIT OF LOVE - Driver S Abernethy advised that he could not activate the removable deafeners on the mare as the activation cord had become entangled. | |

| NERVE OF STEEL - broke inside the 300 metres when having to take evasive action to avoid a galloping runner and lost ground. | |
| RUSSIAN ALSU - the start was delayed after the mare had to return to the stabling area to replace the sulky after an axle nut had come adrift during the preliminary. Trainer M Collins advised Stewards that he had had an issue repairing the sulky wheel earlier in the day and that the thread must have been stripped. The Stewards issued him with a caution in that he was expected to present his gear in good order. | |

Driver P Ferguson was shown the replay and cautioned in relation to the manner in which he shifted ground in the run home which placed several inside runners in restricted room. Mr Ferguson advised that the gelding had lay in at various stages placing him at a disadvantage and that he would be recommending corrective gear changes to connections. | |
