Race 3 - HE'S WATCHING AT ALABAR MOBILE PACE
Trainer B Hill advised Stewards on 24 October that after performing well at the Rangiora trials without a Murphy Blind, DARK RAGE will now continue with its current preparation.
Race 8 - SONS OF ZION PLAYING ON LINDAUER ON CUP DAY MOBILE TROT
The connections of GALLEONS GLORY advised Stewards on 24 October that the mare performed well at the trials at Rangiora on Wednesday with the use of a different tongue tie and will continue with its current preparation.

Race 11 - ASHBURTON GUARDIAN MOBILE PACE
Trainer M Purvis was spoken to in regards to the performance of MAMMA KNOWS BEST at Ashburton last Monday. He advised the mare had previously raced when in season and competed well but on this occasion being stabled near colts and then coming within close range of them in the pre race circle had obviously had some effect on his horse. Mr Purvis confirmed that in future he would be intending to scratch the horse when in season again.

MYBOYLOLLIEPOP - Checked and broke racing into the first bend losing ground.
RUNCLE - Dictated inwards and checked racing into the first bend. Driver S Wigg was fined $200 by the JCA after admitting breaching the push out rule passing the 1100 metres causing QUEEN OF GLORY to be taken wider on the track.
ROYAL JESTER - Driver A Edge was issued with and admitted a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that he had been careless by shifting inwards when not clear racing into the first bend causing significant interference to six other runners. Mr Edge's horseman's licence was suspended from the conclusion of racing today up to and including 28 December. Mr Edge was also fined the sum of $400.
PAT CAMPBELL - Checked and broke racing into the first bend losing its chance.
MACHS MARETA - Checked and broke racing into the first bend.
ROMANITE - Checked racing into the first bend.
QUEEN OF GLORY - Driver C Wigg reported that one hopple shortener had failed to release. Forced to race wide passing the 1100 metres.
MY NIKAYLA - Checked and broke racing into the first bend losing considerable ground. Driver M Stratford reported that one hopple shortener had failed to release.

KINGS LANDING - Shifted outwards near the 350 metres inconveniencing outside runners. Driver T Williams advised that the gelding had shied away from the centre track crowd. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing record. Mr Williams also reported that he did not activate the gelding's deafeners.
OVERZEALOUS - Checked by a breaking runner early in the run home and had to shift ground.
ANGUSTIA - Broke at the start.
NOBLE MISTRESS - Checked in the early stages of the run home by breaking runner and galloped losing its chance.
MONARO MARO - Trotted roughly throughout the run home.
SIERRA GOLD - Broke leaving the final bend.
ZEDDIE MARIT - Broke after 200 metres, again breaking at the 1600 metres. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing record.
ALADDIN SANE - Checked and broke entering the final straight.
HE WAS ROMEO - Slowly away, broke at the 1600 metres.
TONIQUE DE FEU - Cleared from the unruly for upcoming standing starts.

CULLENMORE - Held up rounding the final bend.
ZULU COURAGE - Held up rounding the final bend.
BOHANNAN - Raced wide in the early stages.
PRINCESS FULHAM - Weakened entering the final straight. When questioned regarding the performance of his mare driver R Holmes advised the mare had disappointed him when asked for an effort in the final stages. A post race veterinary examination showed a slow recovery rate. Stewards will follow up with trainer R Holmes in coming days after he advised it was his intention to have further testing completed in the upcoming week.
BEAU VISTA - Raced wide from the 600 metres.
MORDECAI - Raced wide in the early stages. Lay inwards in the run home. Driver K Tomlinson reported the gelding to have made contact with the sulky disks throughout the running.
ISLA'S JOY - Raced keenly in the early stages. Over raced in the middle stages. Held up throughout the run home only obtaining clear racing room over the final 50 metres. Driver R Cameron reported he did not release the gelding's deafeners.
STATELY - When questioned regarding the mare's improved performance trainer T Bagrie attributed this to his horse meeting a field today which was a significant drop back to recent opposition.

THE LAST STRAW - Broke at the start. Paced roughly near the 400 metres and hung outwards on the final bend.
GEORGIE MARTIN - Driver S McNally reported he had difficulty activating the mare's blinds and deafeners due to the cord becoming entangled.
SLINGSHOT(AUS) - Raced wide in the early stages. Raced wide from the 800 metres.
ADJUDICATOR - Slow to begin. Raced three wide from the 1600 metres. Raced roughly near the 400 metres. Driver S Payne reported the gelding had hung inwards and struck its knee.
BARRETT - When spoken to regarding the colt's performance driver S Ottley explained that the horse had been unsuited to the tempo of the race in that the three wide line never improved the colt's position. She added she had some difficulty obtaining clear racing room throughout the final straight but was happy with the way the colt responded to her urgings.
BOMBSHELL - Unruly clear stands.
DADNDAVE - Lay inwards in the early stages of the run home.

SENORITA MARGARITA - Driver L McKay reported she had difficulty in steering the mare throughout and because of this had elected not to activate the deafeners or blinds.
HES FAST AND FURIOUS - Raced roughly near the 350 metres when placed in restricted room.
TALL POPPY - Driver K Tomlinson was issued with a warning for the manner in which she shifted ground outwards on the final bend which caused HES FAST AND FURIOUS to race roughly for several strides.
RUSSIAN EXPRESS - Raced keenly in the middle stages giving driver D Keast some difficulty.

ROCKNPOP - Broke shortly after the start. A warning was placed on the mare's barrier record.
SHE AINT NO ANGEL - Locked wheels and broke near the 600 metres losing its chance.
SPEEDY COMMAND - Broke in the score up losing its chance. A warning was placed on the mare's barrier record.
SUGAR CANE - Hampered in the early stages having to shift ground. Shifted outwards abruptly near the 600 metres checking SHE AINT NO ANGEL which broke. Driver D McCormick admitted a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that he had been careless at this time. After considering penalty submissions his horseman's licence was suspended from the conclusion of racing on 29 October up to and including 10 November (4 days).
LISA MARIE P - Raced wide in the early stages.
MONRIKA - Trotted roughly through the final straight.
