Race 1 - NET TEN EOM AT MACCA LODGE PACE
Stewards lodged an appeal against the race day decision of the JCA to dismiss a charge of careless driving against M Williamson (ROCKIN ROD) alleging that he shifted ground inwards near the 200 metres into a position where insufficient room existed resulting in checks to SHERRY BABY and GOMEO DENARIO. At a hearing today, the Appeals Tribunal upheld the appeal and suspended Mr Williamson's Horseman's licence from the conclusion of racing on 29 October up to and including 3 November (2 days).

Race 9 - RAY WHITE NEW BRIGHTON PACE
Driver J Young (XMAS BAY) admitted a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that she drove carelessly near the 300 metres when shifting ground outwards when insufficiently clear of SPINATALE (L O'Reilly) which was checked and broke. After hearing submissions on penalty, the JCA suspended Miss Young's Horsewoman's licence from the conclusion of racing tonight up to and including 3 November (2 days).

BE BEE LASS - broke shortly after the start.
SHES SO RIGHT - trotted roughly into the first bend.
HAVEHORSEWILLTRAVEL - broke at the start losing considerable ground.
SUPERFAST NINJA - Driver B Williamson advised Stewards that he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
NOTTA SUCCESS - permission was given to Trainer P Luzumova to race in alternate colours. Broke passing the 2000 metres. Weakened final bend before breaking at the 300 metres.
NORDIC PRINCE - broke at the 500 metres.
WHAT IF I'M RIGHT - broke near the 1700 metres losing all chance.

The start of the race was delayed due to a mudguard falling to the track from the sulky of BOILOVER in the preliminary.
JAMIES BAD BOY - Driver R Close was shown the films and reminded to exercise greater care when shifting ground near the 200 metres.
KANSAS CITY JIM - raced keenly in the early and middle stages.
DREAMINSOVER - raced wide in the early stages. Hung inwards racing into the first bend.
MACH O'MELLEY - weakened final bend.
BOILOVER - hung outwards in the home straight.
STAR RULER - over-raced in the early stages. Hung inwards from the 1000 metres. Over-raced from the 600 metres. Held up in the early stages of the home straight.
WOLFENSTEIN - had to be steadied near the 200 metres when briefly placed in restricted room.
HE'S A LADIES MAN - hung inwards entering the home straight. Driver M Williamson advised that he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered. Cleared from the unruly for future mobile starts.

THISLADYROCKS - held up by weakening runner final bend. Broke free of interference at the 50 metres checking trailing runners. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
BUB'S VC - broke as the start was effected losing all chance. A warning was placed on the mare's barrier record.
BICTON - held up by weakening runner final bend and shifted ground outwards. Had difficulty finding clear racing room in the home straight. Hampered late in the run home by a breaking runner.
IDEAL DENARIO - weakened final bend.
ROMY FRANCO - hampered by a breaking runner late in the run home.
SHERRY BABY - raced wide from the start until being restrained to the rear of the field near the 1500 metres. Checked late in the run home. Held up for clear racing room in the home straight before being checked by a breaking runner over the concluding stages. Driver B Williamson advised Stewards that he was not afforded the opportunity to activate the removable deafeners.
ULTIMATE SASSENACH - raced keenly through the middle stages. Hung inwards near the 500 metres.
LOISSONYA - checked shortly after the start by a breaking runner. Held up final bend and in the home straight. Checked late in the run home.

BEAUDIENE GAMBLER - permission was granted for Trainer D Reardon to race in alternate colours. Mr Reardon advised that the horse would be racing without front shoes.
TETRICK - raced wide in the early stages. Driver B McLellan advised he was unable to activate the removable deafeners due to a malfunction of the cord.
CLIFTON FLUTTER - was out of position as the start was effected. Junior Driver L McKay was issued with a $100 Minor Infringement Notice.
ARMA TWOSPOONS - paced roughly in the score up and was out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver J Morrison. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Raced wide from the 1600 metres until the 1000 metres. Weakened from the 400 metres.
VIGOROSO - was out of position as the start was effected. Driver J Young was issued with a warning. Held up for clear racing room rounding the final bend.
MOTU HOT TOPIC - hung inwards early stages of the home straight.
DOC SEELSTER - was out of position as the start was effected. Driver D Reardon was issued with a $100 Minor Infringement Notice.
HOT STARFF - was out of position as the start was effected. Driver S McNally was issued with a warning.

JUSTAN'S SISTER - over raced passing the 1600 metres. Weakened from the 450 metres. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. Trainer S Matheson advised that he would give consideration to sending the mare for a spell.
CAESAR'S QUEST - paced roughly into the first bend. Again paced roughly near the 200 metres and had to be steadied. Hung inwards throughout the run home.
SKY CITY KING - Junior Driver J Morrison was shown the films and warned to exercise care racing into the first bend when placing an inside runner in restricted room.
CLIFTON TACTIC - raced wide in the early stages. Hung inwards racing into the first bend.
LORRETTA FRANCO - raced wide into the first bend. Hung out over the final stages and was briefly placed in restricted room.
VERA'S DELIGHT - held up by tiring runner near the 300 metres. Held up for clear racing room throughout the run home.
MOTU SPEEDY STAR - held up by tiring runner final bend.
SHEEZUS - had to be steadied racing into the first bend when placed in restricted room.

Prior to this race the track was upgraded to easy.
HOLLY TROUBLE - broke near the 2200 metres losing all chance.
ERASER - Junior Driver K Butt reported that she had sustained a punctured tyre near the 350 metres.
GLENDHU GEM - hung inwards racing into the first bend and broke losing all chance. Junior Driver G Crawford was shown the films and warned with regards to allowing her horse to breast the barrier strand.
WAYWARD ROC - raced keenly middle stages. Broke near the 600 metres.
IMRAN KHAN - broke at the start.
SHE'S ALLTHE CRAZE - Stewards spoke with Junior Driver S O'Reilly with the assistance of Senior Horseman T Williams regarding an incident near the 350 metres. After interviewing all relevant parties and viewing the films Miss O'Reilly was charged with a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that she drove carelessly when allowing her horse to contact the sulky wheel of ERASER which punctured. Miss O'Reilly admitted the breach and after hearing submissions on penalty, the JCA imposed a fine of $200.
SCARLETT LANE - broke at the start.
TOPNOTCH EAGLE - held up near the 250 metres.
OUR GRACIE - hampered in the early stages by a breaking runner.

FERRITTS SISTER - hung inwards rounding the first bend. Weakened from the 300 metres.
AVEROSS FERRARI - held up rounding the final bend.
SAGWITCH - raced wide into the first bend and remained wide until restrained to the rear passing the 1700 metres.
GLENISTHEBETTOR - K Butt as the person in control of the mare was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice after presenting the horse to race without a number. Held up rounding the final bend.
ROCKNROLL MAGIC - hung in entering the home straight.
