DOLLY JONES - broke after 200 metres. Broke again near the 900 metres.
INVESTIGATE - broke racing into the first bend.

PIPER MOSS - trotted roughly in the early stages. Broke at the 900 metres.
TONIQUE DE FEU - pre-raced warmed. Paced for a short distance at the start. Driver R May was warned for half carting near the 1700 metres. Mr May was also warned for the manner he drove near the 850 metres when easing the pace abruptly after being unsuccessful in challenging for the lead.

SANTANNA LAD - held up early stages of the run home. Broke near the 150 metres.
BALDOON - raced wide early stages. Raced keenly through the middle stages.

CABAZON VICTORY - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver G Smith. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.

TABITHA FRANCO - raced greenly near the 200 metres and shifted outwards. Driver R May reported that the mare had got her tongue over the bit due to the tongue tie breaking.

FLYINGMASTERWILLIAMS - broke at the start. Had to be steadied near the 50 metres when placed in restricted room.
A BETTER DANCER - struck a pylon near the 250 metres when shifting inwards. Driver B Hope was issued with a warning. Hung outwards near the 100 metres crowding outside runner. Mr Hope was also warned to make a greater effort to maintain a straight course in the run home.

LAUSANNE LASS - broke at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Held up until late in the run home. Driver R May was spoken to regarding the manner he shifted ground near the 50 metres when placing outside runners in restricted room.

ywGZgQZYdHk CHRISTIAN LADY - when questioned regarding the mare's performance driver S Tomlinson reported that she had been disappointed with the effort and could offer no explanation. Trainer P McClelland advised that the mare was showing signs of being in season following the race.
ARDEN'S WINSTAR - held up final bend and early stages of the run home.
DARING DASH - raced wide early stages. Held up final bend. Hung inwards and paced roughly near the 350 metres after becoming awkwardly placed close to the sulky of OK I'M BAD. Driver L Lester was warned to make a greater effort to prevent her runner from shifting inwards at this stage of the race.
TURKISH TROUSERS - raced wide early stages. Raced keenly through the middle stages. Weakened final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver S O'Reilly reported that the mare had been unsuited to racing parked and that in her opinion had failed to handle the prevailing track conditions. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
DELIGHTFUL TANNER - hung inwards leaving the final bend.
SANTANNA MACH - late scratching at 12.40pm by Order of Stewards. Trainer M House admitted a breach of Programming Regulations No.15 in that he failed to have the gelding on course by the prescribed time with the JCA imposing a fine of $400.
SWAP OVER - paced roughly in the score up and was back slightly at the start. Continued to pace roughly through the early stages.
READY TO BLOOM - driver M Hurrell reported he was unable to activate the sliding blinds due to the cord becoming entangled.
HUEY LEWIS - out of position at the start. Driver B Hope was issued with a warning. Paced roughly rounding the first bend and had to be steadied. Broke rounding the final bend losing all chance. When spoken to regarding the performance driver B Hope could offer no explanation.
GOODLOOKIN CHICK - out of position at the start. Driver A Stewart was issued with a warning.

Race 5	TARA FAMILY TRUST HANDICAP TROT Video
Xt94-uwqfi8 YOUNG STRANGER - held up early stages of the run home. Driver C Thornley admitted a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that he shifted ground outwards near the 200 metres when insufficiently clear of DON'T ROCK THE BOAT which was checked and broke. After hearing submissions on penalty the JCA suspended Mr Thornley's horseman's licence from the conclusion of racing today up to and including 2 November (5 days).
FIREMAN - weakened leaving the final bend.
BELMONT'S GREATEST - shifted inwards in the early stages of the run home and struck several pylons resulting in a trailing runner being checked by a dislodged pylon. Driver R May admitted a breach of Rule 869(7A)(b) in that he allowed his sulky to protrude inside the marker line when attempting to improve his position to the inside of FIREMAN passing the 300 metres. After hearing submissions on penalty, the JCA imposed a fine of $250. Mr May dropped his foot from the sulky footrest passing the 200 metres when having difficulty activating the removable deafeners.
ONE NIGHT OUT - held up early stages of the run home.
ED WOOD - broke near the 1700 metres.
RUSTY I AM - over-raced middle stages. Held up early stages of the run home.
THE REV - broke after 150 metres.
SONEY BEATT - over-raced middle stages. Broke near the 300 metres when shying at a dislodged pylon.
RED HOT ROCKET - hung inwards in the home straight. Driver G Smith was warned to make a greater effort to ensure he leaves the passing lane clear for trailing runners. Mr Smith advised that he would change the gelding's bit prior to resuming.
TRICK STAR - lay inwards in the home straight.
DON'T ROCK THE BOAT - checked and broke near the 200 metres.
GORILLA PLAYBOY - broke racing into the first bend. Broke near the 850 metres when being shifted wider on the track by an inside runner.
ONE OVER DOVER - broke after 150 metres. Broke again near the 200 metres.

FRANCO SHERBORNE - hung inwards in the run home.
PINE CONE - driver K Cameron admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) in that he used his whip on more occasions than permitted by Clause (b) of the Use of Whip Regulations. After hearing submission on penalty the JCA suspended Mr Cameron's horseman's licence from the conclusion of racing today up to and including 29 October (4 days).
DOC SEELSTER - weakened final bend. Crowded near the 200 metres and had to be steadied.
LUCY DIAMOND - driver L O'Reilly was spoken to regarding the manner he drove near the 200 metres when shifting ground inwards resulting in inside runners having to be steadied momentarily.
REGAL SUZY - over-raced early stages.
WESTAR SAM - late scratching at 12.25pm by Order of Stewards after not being transported to the racecourse. Co-trainer J Kennett admitted a breach of Rule 834(2)(a) in that both WESTAR SAM and BHAKTI were scratched from this race without sufficient reason. After hearing submissions on penalty, the JCA reserved their decision.
CULLENMORE - held up final bend. Crowded near the 200 metres and struck a pylon.
MR ASIA - weakened final bend.
BHAKTI - late scratching at 12.25pm - Refer above.
MYBOYLOLLIEPOP - over-raced in the early stages. Raced wide until reaching the parked position near the 1600 metres. Continued to over-race in the middle stages.

ITSTHEFINALCOUNTDOWN - broke at the start. Broke again racing into the first bend losing considerable ground. Stood down to complete one satisfactory trial.
ABIENTO - when spoken to regarding the improved performance trainer D Thompson explained that the mare had benefited from its first start back from a spell last week and had been able to secure an economical run throughout today.
BLAZIN CREEK - broke at the start losing considerable ground. Held up final bend and throughout the home straight.
BOUND TO IMPRESS - raced wide until reaching the parked position near the 1600 metres.
SHINING FROST - broke at the start. Held up early and middle stages of the run home.
BEAU VISTA - over-raced middle stages. Held up until late in the run home.

Co-trainer G Hope reported that the gelding has been further examined by his veterinarian upon returning to his stables and treated for back soreness.

SPLASH COLA - stood on the mark losing all chance. A warning was placed on the mare's barrier record. Authorisation of all placings were withheld until Stewards had viewed a replay of the start and were satisfied that the mare had not been denied a fair start.
WILMA'S MATE - paced shortly after the start and had to be broken up by driver B Butt. Broke rounding the first bend losing all chance.
