Race 10   HANLEY FORMULA JUNIOR DRIVERS HCP TROT
PRINCE GEORGE - authorisation of 4th placing was withheld to enable Stewards to view the replays of the start to ascertain whether the gelding had started in advance of its proper mark after it had moved forward despite the efforts of Junior Driver J MacKinnon and breasted the front barrier. This resulted in the barrier becoming entangled around PRINCE GEORGE's front legs for some distance before clearing. Stewards were satisfied that PRINCE GEORGE had breasted the barrier simultaneously with the start being declared and 4th placing was duly authorised. No action was taken against the barrier manners of PRINCE GEORGE or Mr MacKinnon due to the delay in the start. When questioned regarding the start, Starter C Courtney advised he had been unaware of this incident due to his attention being focussed on the several fractious horses that had delayed the start.
RISE TO SUCCESS - Junior Driver B Butcher reported that he did not activate the deafeners due to having the field covered.
SPURS OF WAR - delayed the start when becoming fractious.
