Trainer M Heenan advised Stewards on 25 September that SANTANNA LAD and MINNELLI SMILE have had their knees injected since racing at Methven on 16 September.

Race 10 - CLUBS NZ, ADVANCE GAMING & ABBOTT'S INSURANCE MOB PACE

Trainer H Hunter advised Stewards on 25 September that DOWNTOWN TRAIN was found to be dehydrated following its performance at Methven on 16 September adding that the gelding has trialled well in preparation for a resumption at Motukarara this weekend.

GqJmf89tjY4 WAIT FOR SUCCESS - broke at the start losing all chance. Placed on the unruly for future standing starts at the request of trainer N Munro.
GOLD CHAIN - broke at the start. Broke again racing into the first bend. Trainer/driver B Butt reported the horse will be returned to the trials prior to resuming.
GIL FAVOR - broke at the start before settling and breaking again shortly after. Authorisation of 4th placing was withheld until Stewards confirmed the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horse Regulations in the early stages. Driver P Nairn admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) in that he used his whip on more occasions than permitted by Clause (b) of the Use of Whip Regulations and was fined $200 by the JCA.
LOVEY DOVEY MOMENT - slow to begin. Trotted roughly near the 1400 metres before breaking near the 1300 metres. Again trotted roughly rounding the final bend and broke late in the run home.
TEHORO TEASE - raced keenly through the middle stages. Weakened final bend.
CABELLA NOIR - broke shortly after the start.
TRICKY RASTUS - inconvenienced by a breaking runner after 100 metres. Broke near the 2200 metres and again on several occasions during the running and was retired from the race.
LADY BEATRIX BOURBON - trotted roughly in the home straight.

IT'S A DEAL - driver R Cameron will be spoken to regarding the manner he drove in the middle stages.
BETTOR TRENZ - had some difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the early stages of the run home.
WARLOCH - raced wide early stages.
STARS TONIGHT - raced wide until reaching the parked position near the 1200 metres. Raced greenly shortly after the finish and hung outwards abruptly. Driver R Houghton reported he did not activate the hopple shorteners due to the gelding pacing roughly.
HEISENBERG - raced wide until improving to the lead near the 1000 metres. Hung outwards over the concluding stages.

Race 3	30 SEPT - LAST CHANCE TO WIN - CUP DAY EXPERIENCE PACE Video
yulujUxT1w8 COPPERHEAD ROSE - Junior driver D Keast, who declined assistance from a senior horseman, defended a breach of Rule 869(2) which alleged he used his whip on more occasions than permitted by Clause (b) of the Use of Whip Regulations. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence, the JCA found the charge proved and imposed a fine of $200.
ROSINUPTHEBOW - raced wide early stages. Held up middle stages of the run home. Junior driver J Morrison, who declined assistance from a senior horseman, admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) in that he used his whip on more occasions than permitted by Clause (b) of the Use of Whip Regulations and was fined $200 by the JCA.
SENORITA MARGARITA - broke at the start. Over-raced middle stages. Held up throughout the run home. Driver J Young advised she did not activate the removable deafeners and sliding blinds in consequence.
BEAU VISTA - raced wide early stages.
BETTER DECISION - raced wide early stages.
STOP MEANS STOP - raced wide early and middle stages.

AVA ADORE - held up early stages of the run home. Briefly hampered near the 200 metres.
DOUBLE DASH - broke shortly after the start checking trailing runners. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly. Weakened final bend.
FLASHAZZ - lay outwards in the early stages of the run home.
DONEGAL ART CHOKIN - held up throughout the run home. Paced roughly when shifting ground inwards near the 100 metres. Stewards questioned driver T Williams regarding the tactics he adopted near the 700 metres when not improving three wide. Mr Williams explained that he had attempted to shift ground outwards however the horse had hung inwards and raced greenly causing him difficulty.
TABITHA FRANCO - hung inwards near the 200 metres and was awkwardly placed close to the wheel of FLASHAZZ.
EASTWOOD ISABELLA - over-raced middle stages. Briefly hampered near the 200 metres.
SHARNAE - checked and broke shortly after the start losing all chance.
DON'T TELL ANGE - hampered shortly after the start by breaking runners.
HELD TO RANSOM - broke shortly after the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Held up early and middle stages of the run home.

ATaqYrEIAVI CLOVER LOU - driver C DeFilippi was questioned regarding the limited vigour he showed over the concluding stages. After considering his explanation Stewards adjourned the matter to give it further consideration.
CHIVASION - broke after 100 metres checking a trailing runner. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
GALLEONS GLORY - broke at the start. Weakened from the 600 metres.
ANNA KATE - broke after 100 metres.
RED HARBOUR - paced after 100 metres before breaking.
SUCH FUN - raced wide early stages.
CELTIC THUNDER - checked shortly after the start by a breaking runner. Broke near the 2100 metres. Trotted roughly in the home straight.

NIRVANA BEACH - when questioned regarding the performance driver T Williams advised that the horse had over-raced after striking his sulky wheels during the running.
COOL CHANGES - raced wide early stages.
HIS ROYAL HARNESS - raced wide final bend.
ARDENT LUSTRE - driver R Holmes reported that the removable deafeners had activated prior to the start.
DE LANCOME - out of position at the candy pole and start. Driver R Houghton was issued with a warning. Held up early stages of the run home and hung inwards in the home straight.
ROCKNROLL MAGIC - lay inwards over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be suffering from the thumps and was treated by the on course veterinarian.
OK I'M BAD - hung inwards final bend and struck pylons.

nrWsvYOMwak FIRENZE - slow to begin. Tired from the 500 metres. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer K Townley advised the mare will now be retired.
BEYOND THE HORIZON - held up early stages of the run home.
SPLASH COLA - broke at the start losing its chance.
WAR MACHINE - late scratching at 5.20pm on veterinary advice after being injured en route to the course. A veterinary clearance is required prior to the horse resuming.
HARRIET OF MOT - driver T Williams advised the removable deafeners were not activated due to having the field covered.

Race 9	CROWNE PLAZA CHRISTCHURCH MOBILE PACE Video

KARANGA SWEET P - over-raced early stages.
FORTY WIVES - held up final bend.
LINKED IN - broke after 100 metres. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Trainer B Negus advised he would re-assess the racing future of the horse.
THE MOONSHADOW - held up passing the 400 metres.
ALE ALE KAI - weakened final bend.
HOMEFORLIFE - hung inwards when weakening on the final bend and struck pylons.
DARK RAGE - held up final bend.
HE'S A LADIES MAN - paced roughly and broke shortly after the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Raced wide rounding the first bend. Over-raced early and middle stages.
JACK JONES(AUS) - over-raced shortly after the start and contacted the helmet of M Purdon (THE MOONSHADOW) resulting in the gelding breaking. Continued to over-race through the early and middle stages when wide on the track causing driver T Williams considerable difficulty. Weakened final bend. Stood down to complete one satisfactory trial prior to resuming. Mr Williams was warned for using his whip when out of contention.
MATAU GEM - raced wide throughout.
AVEROSS SPITFIRE -raced wide throughout. Cleared from the unruly for future mobile starts.

MARTIN JOHN - broke at the start.
HICORI - late scratching on veterinary advice at 7.35pm. A veterinary clearance is required prior to the gelding resuming.
ITSTHEFINALCOUNTDOWN - broke at the start. Broke again after 100 metres checking EASTWOOD CHIEFTAIN and racing into the first bend losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
EASTWOOD CHIEFTAIN - broke at the start. Checked after 100 metres.
SPOT ON - inconvenienced by a breaking runner at the start. Paced roughly final bend and lost ground.
MAJOR COO - inconvenienced by a breaking runner at the start. Driver T Williams advised he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
ARDEN'S WINSTAR - broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
BILLIE JEAN - tangled away and shifted ground outwards.
OHOKA CHOPPER - a post-race veterinary examination was requested after driver G O'Reilly reported that the gelding had made abnormal breathing noises during the running. This examination revealed no abnormalities. Stewards will follow up the recovery of the horse with trainer D Mitchell in the coming days.
