JABALI - locked wheels with another runner at the 200 metres. Junior driver M Hurrell was shown the films and questioned regarding this incident. Mr Hurrell explained that a gap existed when he presented his horse however the runner to his outside shifted in, crowding his runner and resulting in the locking of the sulky wheels. | |
PLEASE SHUDDUP - raced wide in the early stages. Over-raced through the middle stages when leading. | |
BENIO BEN - locked wheels with another runner at the 200 metres. Junior driver J Morrison, with the assistance of senior driver C Barron, was shown the films and warned pursuant to Rule 869(4) to maintain a straight course in the home straight. | |
MAGNETIC WATCH - paced roughly in the score-up and was out of the position at the dispatch. Junior driver B Laughton was shown the films of the score-up. Mr Laughton advised the Stewards that his horse had paced roughly for few strides in the score-up and due to this his runner was not on the barrier at the Candy Pole and dispatch point. | |

DOUBT ME NOT - lay outwards through the back straight and shifted away from the pylons. On the final bend was brought inwards and applied a sustained pressure to IVANA LEGACY which was taken over pylons. Driver A MacDonald admitted a breach of Rule 869(7A)(c) in that he shifted ground inwards causing IVANA LEGACY to contact and protrude over marker pegs. After hearing submissions on penalty the JCA imposed a fine of $200. | |
