The connections of SUCH FUN advised Stewards on 12 September that blood tests taken from the mare revealed no abnormalities adding that she will continue with her current preparation.

Trainer T Trathen advised Stewards on 12 September that SPEEDY COMMAND is suffering from a cold and has been sent for a spell.

LADY BEATRIX BOURBON - broke near the 1150 metres losing all chance.
SUGAR CANE - weakened final bend. Hung inwards near the 250 metres and struck pylons. Driver L McCormick advised he was very disappointed with the effort. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery. The connections advised they would have blood tests taken in the coming days and would notify Stewards of the results. Mr McCormick was warned for the manner he drove near the 1400 metres when looking around unduly.
TEHORO DAZZLE - weakened final bend.
CELTIC THUNDER - trotted roughly final bend.
RUM IN THE SUN - raced wide near the 800 metres. Trotted roughly throughout the home straight.
DIANA HARBOUR - slow over the early stages. Hampered near the 1100 metres by a breaking runner.
LOVEY DOVEY MOMENT - late scratching at 3.50pm on veterinary advice.

PAT CAMPBELL - over-raced early stages when being restrained. Continued to over-race through the middle stages.
SANS LE SOU - held up rounding the final bend.
COOL CHANGES - over-raced middle stages.
GLOBAL DOMINATION - raced roughly final bend when hanging inwards.

BAKER CREEK - briefly held up for clear racing room in the early stages of the run home.
KATIES NIGHTMARE - over-raced early stages. Continued to over-race passing the 1200 metres when being restrained to obtain cover.
MELTON REACTOR - out of position at the start when hanging inwards despite the efforts of driver J Curtin. A warning was placed on the mobile barrier record of the horse. Mr Curtin reported that he was unable to fully drive his horse out in the straight due to it hanging inwards causing him some difficulty.
FLASHAZZ - held up final bend.
DIVINIA BELLEZZA - driver T Chmiel was questioned regarding the manner he drove near the 1500 metres when restraining his mare. Mr Chmiel explained that his instructions were to drive the mare with cover therefore when KATIES NIGHTMARE progressed to the lead when over-racing felt his best option was to restrain in an attempt to receive cover believing that the front was not available given the racing manners of KATIES NIGHTMARE. After hearing from Mr Chmiel, Stewards were satisfied his actions were not unreasonable and took the matter no further.

RONALD J - slow away. Hung inwards near the 2100 metres losing its position. Trotted roughly in the home straight.
WAR MACHINE - over-raced near the 2000 metres. Over-raced middle stages. Trotted roughly and broke with 1300 metres to run. Driver M Jones reported the horse had choked down.
HARRYSUL - trotted roughly on various occasions throughout the running.
HEY YO - hung inwards final bend. Had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the early stages of the home straight.
MARCOOLA - raced wide early stages.
AMARETTO SUN - tired rounding the final bend. Driver S Tomlinson advised that the gelding had hung badly during the running. A post-race veterinary examination revealed hock sensitivity in the near hind leg. Stewards will follow up the recovery in the coming days.

STUN GUN - hung inwards and struck a pylon final bend.
ROMANITE - weakened final bend.
FRANCO TEXAS - hung inwards and struck a pylon final bend. Held up home turn and early stages of the run home.
NURBURGRING - over-raced shortly after the start. Held up by a tiring runner rounding the final bend. Unable to obtain clear racing room in the home straight. Driver S Ottley reported the sliding blinds and deafeners were not activated in consequence.
FOUR STARZZZ SHIRAZ - out of position at the Candy Pole. Driver C Purvis was issued with a warning. Raced wide early stages.
HAYDEN'S MEDDLE - hung inwards over the concluding stages.
BORN TO RUN - hung inwards and struck pylons final bend.
SAILS - paced roughly shortly after the start. Stewards questioned driver J Curtin regarding the tactics he adopted on the final bend when not improving outwards. Mr Curtin advised that he had been concerned that the wider runners were under pressure and as he had become awkwardly placed to the inside of FOUR STARZZZ SHIRAZ, felt that rather than restraining his runner and losing momentum, his best option was to attempt a run to the inside however this resulted in him being blocked for racing room. After hearing from Mr Curtin, Stewards were satisfied his actions were not unreasonable and took the matter no further.

SCOTLYNN HARRY - paced roughly at the 2100 metres and again on the final bend.
FYNN FROST - paced roughly shortly after the start. Hung inwards on the bends.
HUEY LEWIS - driver T Williams reported that the gelding had hung throughout and would be recommending gear changes.
ROBYN'S GEM - hung inwards rounding the final bend and early stages of the run home.

A G'S WHITE SOCKS - driver R May advised the deafeners were not activated due to the cord breaking.
CAPTAIN DOLMIO - tangled away. Cast a front shoe near the 700 metres. Paced roughly near the 300 metres.
FORGOTTEN HIGHWAY - broke at the start.
THEFIXER - driver M Purdon admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) in that he used his whip on more occasions than permitted by Clause (b) of the Use of Whip Regulations. After hearing submissions on penalty, the JCA imposed a fine of $200.
LOCHARBURN - broke at the start.
DON DOMINGO - held up leaving the final bend.
BILLY BADGER - reared on several occasions prior to the start. Held up leaving the final bend.
ALTA ORLANDO - paced roughly near the 300 metres.

CHRISTIAN LADY - driver S Tomlinson will be spoken to in the coming days regarding her chin strap not being fastened during the running.
CHEEZEL - awkwardly placed close to the sulky of DELIGHTFUL INFUSION near the 900 metres. Steadied when inconvenienced near the 700 metres.
JUST DANCE - raced wide early stages.
QUEEN OF GLORY - checked near the 750 metres after an easing of the pace. Held up leaving the final bend.
DELIGHTFUL INFUSION - raced wide early stages. Sustained a punctured sulky tyre near the 900 metres before weakening.
NAKURU - raced wide early stages.
IMMORTAL CHANGE - held up final bend and in the early stages of the run home.
BE MINE TONIGHT - improved wide middle stages. Restrained near the 800 metres to obtain cover. Hung inwards leaving the final bend when weakening and struck pylons. Driver J Keast was issued with a warning for easing the pace in an abrupt manner passing the 800 metres. Mr Keast was also warned for the manner he shifted ground near the 700 metres when crowding the racing room of HESTIA FRANCO.

BEYOND THE HORIZON - broke at the start.
MEDUSA - driver K Cameron was warned to ensure his whip remains within the confines of the sulky.
FIRENZE - held up by a tiring runner near the 800 metres. Weakened final bend. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be suffering from muscle tie up and was treated by the on course veterinarian. Stewards will follow up the recovery of the horse in the coming days.
FLYINOVA - tired from the 800 metres. Trainer/driver J Wheeler reported the gelding had trotted roughly on the bends and had been disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination revealed sensitivity to the right hock. Stewards will follow up the recovery of the horse in the coming days.
MUSCLES GALORE - began awkwardly. Trotted roughly over the concluding stages.
SUNDONS FLYER - hampered by a breaking runner at the start. Stewards questioned driver J Young regarding the manner she drove with 700 metres to run when shifting inwards and then electing to stay in that position approaching the 400 metres. Miss Young advised that the mare was best driven for one run and her driving instructions had been to save as much ground as possible. Stewards were of the opinion that Miss Young had erred in her judgement however were not satisfied that her actions had compromised her finishing position. Miss Young was advised not to leave herself open to query in future.
ARRAN CHIEF - weakened leaving the final bend.

LOCKED OUT OF HEAVEN - hung outwards throughout the run home and was unable to be driven out over the concluding stages..
STOP MEANS STOP - held up final bend and early stages of the run home.
B MAC C - driver J Cox was spoken to regarding the manner he used his whip in the home straight.
WARLOCH - paced roughly near the 600 metres after being shifted wider on the track.
BACK IN BLACK - raced wide early stages. Held up for clear racing room over the concluding stages.
KAMWOOD KID - raced wide early stages.
SCOTLYNN JUSTIS - hung outwards throughout the run home.
ILDIVO - weakened final bend. Driver A Lethaby was spoken to regarding the manner she used her whip in the run home.
