Driver R Cameron was unable to fulfill his drives due to injury and was replaced as per the summary.

Amateur driver W Parsons (WARLOCH) was cautioned for the manner he drove after crossing the finish line when becoming awkwardly placed close to the sulky of BETTOR BACKIM.

HE WAS ROMEO - trotted roughly in the score up and was out of position at the start. Driver R Holmes reported the gelding was reluctant to take up its correct position.
BLUE COMAN - broke late in the score up losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the gelding's mobile barrier record. Trotted roughly final bend and in the home straight with driver T Trathen being unable to drive the horse out with any vigour. Authorisation of 2nd place was withheld until it was confirmed that the horse had complied with the Breaking Horse Regulations in the early stages.
EDESIA - pre-race warmed.
SUNRISE SPUR - held up early stages of the run home.
TOPNOTCH TITAN - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground.
SCARLETT BANNER - paced in the score up losing considerable ground. Paced again at the start losing all chance.

THE GOLDEN BOY - hung outwards throughout the home straight despite the efforts of driver R Holmes.
DELIGHTFUL TANNER - the all clear was delayed when driver K Cox notified Stewards she wished to review the films of the final 250 metres believing that she had been hampered by the winner THE GOLDEN BOY. After reviewing all available films, Ms Cox did not continue with a protest.
ILDIVO - had to be steadied racing into the first bend when having its racing room restricted by JUNGLE GEM which was shifting ground inwards. Raced wide without cover from the 1000 metres. Weakened final bend.
WARLOCH - raced wide early stages. Held up leaving the final bend.
JUNGLE GEM - driver B Borcoskie was issued with a warning for shifting ground racing into the first bend when not the required distance clear. Paced roughly near the 950 metres and had to be steadied.
MAGICAL MATTY - out of position at the candy pole. Driver A Lethaby was issued with a warning.
MARTIN JOHN - raced wide rounding the first bend. Over-raced for a distance passing the 1500 metres when being restrained to obtain cover.
JOHNNY WHITE - raced wide until reaching the parked position near the 1100 metres.

MATAU GEM - broke in the score up and was out of position at the start. A final warning was placed on the mobile barrier record of the mare. Trainer S Hale reported he would be removing the boring pole from the horse prior to racing next.
AVEROSS SPITFIRE - paced roughly early stages.
DIAMOND EDITION - struck pylons final bend. Driver S Ottley was warned for failing to ensure this did not occur.
BEEN TO JENNY'S - hung inwards on the bend near the 900 metres losing ground in consequence.

SCARLETT BANNER - underwent and passed a pre-race veterinary examination after starting in Race 1 tonight. Stewards approved a late gear change request (subsequent to Race 1) for a pacifier to be applied to the mare.
TIJUANA TAXI - out of position at the candy pole. Driver B Orange was issued with a warning.
PYRAMID MAGIC - out of position at the candy pole. Driver P Williamson was issued with a warning. Over-raced middle stages.
HARRYSUL - raced roughly in the score up and was out of position at the start as a result. Continued to race roughly in the early stages. Lay inwards near the 1500 metres. Hung inwards on the final bend despite the efforts of driver R May to shift the gelding to a wider position. Held up early stages of the run home.
GREAT THINGS HAPPEN - hung inwards and trotted roughly final bend and struck pylons. Driver G Smith reported he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
LAVROS JACK - trotted roughly final bend.

IMMORTAL CHANGE - held up early stages of the run home.
CHEEZEL - backed away when leaving the pre-race circle causing an inconvenience to other runners.
FIRST CLASS LADY - raced wide early stages and was restrained to the rear of the field. Held up early and middle stages of the run home. Shifted outwards abruptly when driver M Hurrell made an unsuccessful attempt to activate the sliding blinds near the 100 metres.
BETTER DECISION - raced keenly when racing outside the leader in the middle stages.
MACHS MARETA - slipped its chin rest in the middle stages.
SARAH BURT - raced roughly when shifted wider leaving the final bend. When questioned regarding the mare's performance, driver J Morrison was unable to provide any explanation and could only advise he had been disappointed with her efforts. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a tendon injury to the left fore leg with the mare stood down pending a veterinary clearance.
 
Race 6HYDROFLOW HANDICAP PACEVideo  Video 
MORDECAI - broke at the start losing all chance.
SI SI SENOR - fractious behind the barriers and then lunged forward into the tapes with the gelding breaking losing ground. The all clear was withheld when driver S Ottley requested the start be reviewed in that she had been denied a fair start. After reviewing the films and considering the evidence of Miss Ottley, Stewards determined that SI SI SENOR had received a fair start with the all clear being given. Further to this SI SI SENOR will now be drawn unruly for standing starts.
ALL OUR MOB - weakened final bend. Trainer B Hill expressed disappointment with the effort and could offer no explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Stewards will follow up with the connections in the coming days.
KINGSLAYER - fractious behind the barriers and then broke briefly at the start. Hung inwards in the home straight.
OHOKA JOHNNY - over-raced from the 1000 metres. Driver M Hurrell reported the gelding had been striking his sulky wheels.
Following this race the track was downgraded to Easy.

FRANCO HAMPTON - hung outwards for a distance passing the 1300 metres. Weakened final bend.
MALIK - held up leaving the final bend.
 
Race 8PRIME PANELS NZ MOBILE PACEVideo  Video 
BEAU VISTA - weakened final bend. When questioned regarding the performance, driver A Lethaby could offer no explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Stewards will follow up with the connections in the coming days.
AWESOME RUSH - out of position at the start. Driver M Hurrell was fined $100. Held up final bend.
IT'S A DEAL - had to be steadied in the early stages when placed in restricted room by HANNAH EXTREME which was shifting down the track.
STOP MEANS STOP - held up final bend.
HANNAH EXTREME - driver B Laughton was issued with a warning for the manner in which he shifted ground in the early stages. Crowded near the 1500 metres and had to be steadied. When questioned regarding this, driver B Laughton reported to have received pressure from runners either side which shifted ground. When spoken to regarding the mare's performance, Mr Laughton reported she had been unsuited to racing parked.

PRINCESS HARBOUR - weakened from the 500 metres.
HEAVENLY LOVE - broke racing into the first bend. Broke again near the 300 metres. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing record.
BORNTOBEASTAR - held up final bend. Had some difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the home straight.
REDWOOD INVASION - trainer R Holmes reported the gelding to have been treated over the past week for a blood disorder. Mr Holmes advised the horse had responded well, with this information broadcast publicly.
SPEEDY COMMAND - raced wide early stages.

DIVINIA BELLEZZA - when questioned regarding the mare's performance, driver B Orange explained that the horse had failed to see out the distance of the race.
POCKET CALL - when questioned regarding the gelding's performance, driver B Williamson explained that the horse had over-raced and as a result had failed to finish the race off as expected. Post race veterinary examination showed no irregularities.
ADIEU FLIRT - broke in the early stages of the score up. A warning was placed on the mare's barrier record. Hung inwards on each bend causing driver J Cox some difficulty. Mr Cox reported that he would be recommending gear changes. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
FYNN FROST - over-raced shortly after the start. Restrained to the rear of the field racing into the first bend when positioned wide on the track. Continued to over-race middle stages.
TRACKSAREFORTRAINS - raced wide early stages.
DIOS DEL FUEGO - weakened leaving the final bend.
ROBYN'S GEM - broke in the score up losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
