Race 1ITALIAN NIGHT AT ALEX PARK FRIDAY 21 SEPTEMBER HANDICAP TROTVideo  Video 
GREAT FANTASY - took evasive action away from galloping runners approaching the first bend.
AIN'T NO PRINCESS - broke entering the first turn when inconvenienced by a breaking runner. Broke again approaching the 1700 metres.
MACKERELLI - broke entering the first turn checking AIN'T NO PRINCESS into a gallop. A warning was placed on the mare's racing manners record.
SAVITSKAYA - when racing down the back straight the last time the mare shifted outward when in the lead enabling the trailing runner GREAT FANTASY to establish itself in a position to its inside. SAVITSKAYA, when racing one off the fence, lay in and broke when racing into the bend with approximately 500 metres to run causing a check to WHIPS N SPURS which galloped. While continuing in a gallop SAVITSKAYA shifted out a second time locking sulky wheels with GRENADO which was badly interfered with and which in turn caused interference to SAINT MICHEL. A warning was placed on the racing manners of SAVITSKAYA. An information was lodged alleging Driver L Chin allowed his mare SAVITSKAYA to shift out while in a gallop causing interference to GRENADO and SAINT MICHEL approaching the 400 metres. The breach was admitted and the JCA imposed a fine of $350.
WHIPS N SPURS - checked and broke when taking evasive action around a galloping runner passing the 500 metres.
ONE YANKEE SON - broke shortly after the start losing its chance.
GRENADO - locked sulky wheels with the galloping SAVITSKAYA approaching the 400 metres losing considerable ground and its chance.
SAINT MICHEL - badly checked by galloping runners passing the 400 metres.

TYCOON TIGER - Trainers J and J Dickie were issued a Minor Infringement Notice and fined $100 for presenting the colt without the notified blinds. Broke at the start losing ground and continued to pace roughly for a distance. Broke again for several strides passing the 1800 metres. Warnings were placed on the colt's mobile and racing manners records.
RUPERT OF LINCOLN - broke passing the 150 metres.
GIBSON GIRL - when questioned regarding the manner in which he drove early in the run home Driver D Butcher stated that the filly which was having its first start, raced greenly throughout and in particular when the pace quickened on the final turn so he elected to balance the filly up before attempting to improve to the outside of IDEAL TIGER and then finished on over the final stages.

JANSSON - over-raced in the middle stages when in the lead.
MADHUBALA - galloped shortly after the start losing considerable ground and its chance.
MASS DESTRUCTION - stood on the mark and was slow to begin. Inconvenienced by a galloping runner approaching the 1700 metres.
M'LORD MACKENDON - inconvenienced by a galloping runner approaching the 1700 metres.
COOL SON - over-raced then broke approaching the 1700 metres inconveniencing trailing runners. Continued to over-race.
BAR ROOM BRAWL - broke shortly after the start then settled. Broke passing the 600 metres and again passing the 200 metres.
THE HULK - trotted roughly for several strides over the early stages.

TERRIER - Driver C Smith reported that the removable deafeners did not activate.
BIT OF A TIGER - Junior Driver A Drake with the assistance of Senior Driver T Mitchell was shown the video coverage of his drive when he attempted to improve BIT OF A TIGER outward to the inside of GLENN FORD in the back straight the final time. Stewards advised him that his attempts to improve outward persisted for too long and that a repetition would result in a charge.
GLENN FORD - contested a position racing through the back straight the final time.
SIMON - paced roughly when shifting inward into the passing lane for the run home.
THE BIG CHEESE - eased after momentarily being improved to the inside of BIT OF A TIGER which it was trailing passing the 700 metres. Held up rounding the final bend and changed ground early in the run home finishing strongly when clear.
ITS OFFICIAL BABE - there was a delay to the start as this mare required a sulky change prior to the start after sustaining a flat tyre in the preliminary. The mare then became fractious causing a further delay and when moving in the score up pigrooted and bucked and was back out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the mobile barrier manners of this mare.

ENGLISH ROSE - held up rounding the final turn and over the initial stages of the run home.
FEEL THE BURN - held up over the early and middle stages of the run home.
GOT A BEAUTY - held up throughout the run home. Driver R Fensom advised he did not activate the removable gear.
CARLAW PARK - raced three wide from inside the 1200 metres.
THE PERSUADER - broke during the score up losing considerable ground and its chance. The gelding was stood down until it trials to the satisfaction of a Stipendiary Steward.

SOL INVICTUS - three wide from the 1400 metres.

ARTANNE - caught three wide early and then restrained to the rear.
REDMARO - held up rounding the final bend and over the final stages of the run home.

HOLD ALL BETS - inconvenienced by a tiring runner inside the final 300 metres.
PRIME SILVER - trailed for the majority of the race then weakened out badly inside the final 300 metres inconveniencing a trailing runner. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Junior Driver A Harrison advised that she was disappointed with the run and the connections would be having the mare further vetted in the upcoming days and would advise Stewards if anything surfaced that would explain the performance.
LINCOLN ROAD - momentarily paced roughly when being eased wider on the track with HUNTER BROMAC to its inside passing the 700 metres.
TIGER SWIFT - broke early in the score up and was approximately 20 metres out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the mare's mobile barrier manners record.
