CHARLIE HARPER - weakened final turn.
CAPITAL GIRL - tired from the 800 metres to finish distanced. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. A warning was placed against the mare's racing performance.
A CHANCE TO DREAM - Trainer T Macfarlane was issued a $25 colour fee. Mr Macfarlane was also issued a $100 minor infringement notice for presenting the mare without the notified blinds. Raced lethargically when caught three wide over the early and middle stages before being restrained to the rear near the 1100 metres. Tired from the 800 metres to finish distanced. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. A warning was placed against the mare's racing performance. Amateur Driver J Darby was fined $200 on the grounds that he drove carelessly approaching the 1100 metres by allowing his mare to strike the sulky wheel of WAINGARO MARA.
WAINGARO MARA - over raced early when being restrained by Amateur Driver B Hadley after having been caught three wide.
WHALE RIDER - raced four wide early before improving to race outside the leader near the 1600 metres.

COMEDY ACT - broke after 200 metres losing all chance.
CAROLINE WOZNIACKI - lay in on reaching the passing lane and had to be corrected by Driver S Abernethy.
ABOVE THE REST - slow away and trotted roughly and broke for a stride after 200 metres.
LITTLEBITOFLOVE - the authorisation of 4th placing was withheld until such time that the Stewards were satisfied that the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation when it galloped in the run home approaching the 50 metres and then recovered prior to the winning post.

TAMARA GOLD - shifted down into the passing lane early when placed under pressure. Driver J Stormont was shown the replay and warned to take immediate corrective action in future.
DOWNTOWN BABE - late scratching at 12.12pm on veterinary advice after being injured on route to the course.
NICE TO BE NORVIC - broke in the early stages of the score up. Driver K Marshall advised that he was unable to activate the removable deafeners as the cord became entangled.

M T POCKETS - weakened inside the final 600 metres. A post race veterinarian examination revealed no abnormalities.
THE C E O - lay out and broke in the early stages of the score up and was back a length at dispatch. A warning was placed on the gelding's mobile barrier manners. Raced four wide from the 800 metres.
SHEZA SPRINGFIELD - the overcheck came adrift after Junior Driver D Ferguson eased the mare passing the 1100 metres. Raced four wide with a trail from the 800 metres.
HELENA IDEAL - held up early stages of the run home.
 
Race 5JLT BLOODSTOCK HANDICAP TROTVideo  Video 
MORTICIAN - over raced when being restrained to take a trail rounding the first bend. Inconvenienced when the leader galloped passing the 700 metres.
FRANCO NADAL - broke passing the 700 metres settling towards the rear. Broke again near the 400 metres. When well back from the main body of the field collapsed and fell to the track with approximately 150 metres to run. The Club's veterinarian reported the gelding had ruptured an aorta. Post mortem blood and urine samples were taken. Driver D Ferguson was uninjured in this incident.
 
Race 6MCMILLAN EQUINE FEEDS MOBILE PACEVideo  Video 
AMARO - paced roughly over the early stages and on several occasions during the running. Attempted to improve three wide from the 800 metres but was under pressure on the final bend and failed to run on finishing towards the rear.
JULIE JOHNSTON - lay in badly from inside the 1200 metres and was taken up the track approaching the 900 metres by Driver M McKendry for safety reasons. Weakened final stages. A warning was placed on this filly's racing manners.
ARTANNE - after racing three wide down the back straight shifted inward rounding the final turn to obtain clear running and was held up over the early stages of the run home.

CHEROKEE WARRIOR - Driver T Mitchell dropped his right foot from the sulky footrest when attempting to activate gear early in the run home. Mr Mitchell was spoken to advisedly and reminded of his obligations.
MISTER HARRIS - held up in the early stages of the run home.
SOMEWHEREINBROOKLYN - raced three wide early.

KEEP ON ROCKIN - lay in approaching the 1400 metres when being restrained to take a trail.
LE GIRL - back a length at dispatch. Driver D McGowan was warned to maintain his position until the start in future.
VIEWFIELD GNAT - weakened final stages. Driver S Phelan advised that he did not activate the removable hood.
