Race 7 - MARLBOROUGH EXPRESS HANDICAP PACE
Stewards spoke with drivers P Davis (GAME CHANGER) and B Orange (TINKER TAILOR) regarding the breaking of TINKER TAILOR after approximately 100 metres. After hearing from both drivers, it was established that Mr Davis had shifted down the track when clearance existed however TINKER TAILOR which had been improving forward had over-reacted to being restrained by Mr Orange causing the horse to pace roughly and break. Accordingly no further action was deemed necessary.
Race 9 - MORE FM MOBILE PACE
Trainer R Stuart advised Stewards on 24 June that SCELTA UNO had recovered well following its disappointing performance at its last start.

MONARO MARO - broke after 100 metres losing ground.
NOBLE MISTRESS - broke at the start losing all chance.
DEAUVILLE - driver J Cox reported he was unable to drive the horse out in the run home due to it trotting roughly. Mr Cox added that he would no longer carry a whip in the gelding's upcoming starts.
NATIVE ONEINAMILLION - broke at the start losing all chance.
VALLEY STAR - hung inwards final bend and struck pylons.
MUCHACHA BONITA - ran outwards when leading through the back straight and continued to lay outwards in the final straight.
RARANGI OPAL - broke racing into the first bend. Held up early stages of the run home. Again broke near the 100 metres. A warning was placed on the mare's racing record.

MALINKA - had some difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the final straight.
VELOCETTE - held up early stages of the run home.
JAFFA - raced wide early stages. Held up early stages of the run home.
JESSIE KELLY - driver B Hope was warned to ensure his whip remains in the confines of the sulky in the home straight.
IAMTHEDREAM - driver G O'Reilly admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) in that he used his whip on more occasions than permitted by clause (b) of the Use of Whip Regulations and was fined $300 by the JCA.
TORNADO - broke in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the filly's barrier record. Weakened leaving the final bend.
GOTTA TICKET - had some difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the final straight.

CHOICE LUSTRE - approval was given for the horse to race in alternate colours. Broke in the score up checking TOPPATHEROCK with a false start being declared. Driver R Holmes elected to remain at barrier one for the restart. A warning was placed on the mare's barrier record.
ALL MONEY - raced wide in the early stages. Weakened final bend.
THE LAST STRAW - held up on the final bend and in the early stages of the run home.
SHAMROCK BROMAC - paced roughly near the 250 metres.
CONQUISTADOR - paced roughly near the 900 metres. Held up on the final bend and in the early stages of the run home. Again paced roughly in the home straight.

FREAK LIKE ME - raced keenly in the middle stages. Held up early stages of the run home.

MY EYRE - briefly crowded near the 500 metres.
CHIEF OF STAFF - broke at the start. Broke near the 500 metres due to a slight easing of the pace.
KAI TIME - over raced in the middle stages when leading. Began to weaken passing the 600 metres.
ALDEBARAN BONNY - broke after 150 metres losing ground. Broke in the early stages of the run home.
ARDEE TROUBLE - Stable representative A Fitzgerald was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice for presenting the gelding to race without the notified blinds. Broke after 150 metres. Trotted roughly final bend. Stood down until the completion of one satisfactory trial.
MILLIONDOLLARMONKEY - broke at the start. Broke near the 1700 metres and galloped uncontrollably for some distance. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing record.
SUNNY BILL - hung inwards near the 500 metres briefly crowding MY EYRE.
RED HOT POKER - driver D Dunn reported that he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.

TALL POPPY - hung inwards leaving the final bend.
MISTER MIGHTY - lay inwards through the early stages of the run home. Driver S Abernethy admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) in that he used his whip on more occasions than permitted by clause (b) of the Use of Whip Regulations and was fined $200 by the JCA.
BELLE OF BROOKLYN - raced wide early stages.
ALL NUTS N BOLTS - raced wide early stages.

SMARTER VC - badly held up between the 600 and 500 metres by a tiring runner.
WRANGLER - broke at the start. Placed on the unruly at the request of the connections.
UNICO LEGEND - broke at the start.
PRADAS IDEAL DAHLING - weakened passing the 600 metres. Driver C Thornley advised that he suspected the gelding may have flipped its palate. A post-race veterinary examination showed the horse to have an upper airways ailment with further treatment being recommended. A Veterinary clearance, including the results of an endoscopic examination, is required prior to the horse resuming.
FORGOTTEN HIGHWAY - driver D Dunn was warned to make a greater effort to maintain a straight course in the run home.
COLE PORTER - when questioned regarding the performance driver G O'Reilly advised he was disappointed with the effort and could offer no explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a small amount of blood to be present in a nostril however was deemed not to be a bleeder. Stewards will follow up with trainer G Dunn in the coming days.
BOOMER BAILEY - the under check broke and hung loose during the running. Lay outwards under pressure in the final straight.

GAME CHANGER - broke at the start.
CHANGE IS GOOD - trainer M Pash reported the filly to be in season with this information forwarded for broadcast. Hampered final bend.
EASTWOOD CHIEFTAIN - held up in the early stages of the run home.
DANA DAWN - hampered on the final bend. Stewards questioned driver R Holmes regarding the manner he drove near the 2300 metres when restraining in an attempt to obtain cover. After hearing from Mr Holmes, Stewards adjourned the matter to give it further consideration.
OUT OF ACES - held up for clear racing room in the home straight. Driver M Anderson reported he did not activate the sliding blinds.
DONEGAL CARNBOUY - broke at the start. Held up in the early stages of the run home.
TINKER TAILOR - hampered near the 2300 metres. Raced keenly in the middle stages.
SHADOWMAN - hampered near the 2300 metres. Hampered again near the 300 metres.
COLLECTION - raced keenly through the middle stages. Held up final bend and in the early stages of the run home.
EVERY OPTION - hampered at the start. Hampered near the 2300 metres and shifted outwards.
MARTIN JOHN - hampered near the 2300 metres. Broke near the 300 metres when racing parked, hampering trailing runners. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing record.
BLACK ART - hampered near the 2300 metres and shifted outwards. Held up final bend and in the early stages of the run home.
FRANCO HAMPTON - checked and broke near the 2300 metres when racing to the outside of EVERY OPTION which shifted outwards losing all chance.
