TAMARA GOLD - trailed the leader and failed to run on in the straight, finishing in 6th place beaten 9.5 lengths. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. Trainer P Chalklen advised that the filly had worked well leading into the event and he was unable to offer any explanation for the disappointing run.
MADAM SECRETARY - this well supported runner settled back early, looked to improve three wide from inside the 600 metres but was under pressure on the final turn and failed to run on finishing in 9th place beaten 16.4 lengths. A post-race veterinary examination revealed inflammation to the larynx which would require follow up treatment subsequent to the meeting.
LE GIRL - paced roughly then broke rounding the first bend losing several lengths. The filly proceeded to over-race during the running and broke again passing the 250 metres. A warning was placed on the filly's racing manners record.
SEIZE THE MOMENT - over-raced middle stages.

MRS ZIPPY - showed early gate speed to lead before trailing from the 1600 metres but was under pressure leaving the back straight the final time and contacted marker pegs before racing roughly near the 250 metres. Trainer/Driver A Matthews advised that the mare had over-raced throughout after contacting its own sulky wheel disc, placing her at a considerable disadvantage, which resulted in the mare tiring over the final stages. A warning was placed on the racing manners of MRS ZIPPY.
IDEALISTIC - inconvenienced on the final bend by a tiring runner.
REDMARO - raced four wide with cover from the 700 metres.
JULIE JOHNSTON - raced four wide without cover from the 700 metres.

PHOEBE GEM - broke passing the 300 metres losing its chance.
SAFRAKOVA - broke at the start and continued on in a strong gallop for a considerable distance. This filly was declared unruly for future stands. Driver L. Chin was shown the replay and warned for the manner in which he drove near the 2500 metres when attempting to take the galloping filly clear of the field which resulted in outside runners being inconvenienced for some strides.
JANSSON - inconvenienced near the 2500 metres by a breaking runner.
COOL SON - broke at the start and shifted out checking AGOSTINI which broke. A warning was placed on this gelding's standing start barrier manners.
SPEEDY LAVROS - inconvenienced near the 2500 metres by a breaking runner.
RACHMANINOV - inconvenienced by a galloping runner passing the 300 metres.
MORTICIAN - inconvenienced near the 2500 metres by a breaking runner.
AGOSTINI - checked and broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground. Broke passing the 1300 metres losing all chance.
COMMANDO ONE - Cleared from the unruly for future standing starts.

THE BIG CHEESE - checked and broke passing the 500 metres losing all chance.
SPARE CHANGE - lay in passing the 500 metres, despite the efforts of Driver T Mitchell, checking an inside runner. A warning was placed on this mare's racing manners.
YASMINE BROMAC - approval was given for the filly to race without the removable deafeners after becoming worked up in the stabling area when the connections were attempting to fit the gear. Lay in rounding the first turn. Continued to lay in on the bends throughout.

CREDIT MASTER - broke shortly after the start losing all chance.
SHADY SADIE - weakened final stages.
WOODSTONE - improved three wide with cover from inside the 1400 metres until reaching the position outside the leader passing the 900 metres. Shifted out under pressure in the run home.

MAJESTIC ALI - broke passing the 1900 metres losing ground before settling at the rear. Broke near the 1000 metres losing its chance and was retired from the event.

IDEAL ROMAN - weakened final stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality.
CLASSIE BRIGADE - improved around three wide to race outside the leader near the 900 metres but only battled in the run home to finish in 4th place beaten 8.9 lengths. A post- race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. Trainer N McGrath advised that the mid-race move to get handy on the fast tempo had taken its toll in what was the entire's second run back from a long spell.

COMEDY ACT - broke at the start and then paced losing considerable ground. Broke near the 200 metres when trailing the field.
MISS BLISSFUL - broke at the start losing all chance.
CAROLINE WOZNIACKI - broke inside the 1900 metres after taking evasive action to avoid a galloping runner and trailed the field.
KAY CEE - slow to begin. Broke shortly after the start losing all chance and was retired from the event.
SAVITSKAYA - broke passing the 1900 metres losing considerable ground.

CHILLYSJUSTAMASTER - approval was given for the gelding to race without front shoes after having pulled a shoe en route to the course and it could not be refitted. Driver Z Butcher was questioned regarding his decision to shift out off the back of the leader near the 300 metres rather than wait for the run in the passing lane to become available. Mr Butcher explained that his gelding had been laying out at this stage and in particular when the tempo increased so he felt it was his best option to shift away from the markers to challenge three wide.
RAINBOW WIRI - paced roughly and then broke passing the 1600 metres and settled at the rear. A warning was placed on this gelding's racing manners.
HOW GREAT THOU ART - raced greenly near the 1100 metres when outside the leader.
ARTY PHARTY - sulky contacted shortly after start.
MY BOY BOO - blundered and nearly fell right on despatch before recovering and shifting inwards contacting the sulky of ARTY PHARTY before breaking and losing all chance. A warning was placed on this gelding's mobile barrier manners.
WYNBERG DELIGHT - Driver K Marshall was cautioned for the manner in which he shifted ground down on to the marker line approaching the 1900 metres which resulted in an inside runner being placed in restricted room.
TROUBADOR - tightened briefly approaching the 1900 metres by an outside runner.
