OPAWA MACH - over-raced in the middle stages. Hampered near the 900 metres having to be steadied. Held up from the 500 metres until near the 200 metres.
MYBOYLOLLIEPOP - paced roughly for a short distance near the 1300 metres.
DEN'S LEGACY - hung and then raced roughly near the 900 metres losing ground. Weakened from the 500 metres. When questioned regarding the gelding's performance, stable representative R Paterson advised in his opinion the horse may not have handled the slushy track conditions and they would consider scratching in similar circumstances. Mr Paterson added they would consider substituting the blinds for sliding blinds for the gelding's next start. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
CLAUS - driver M Maynard was shown the films and cautioned to modify his whip action.
AVEROSS BRACHOLE - raced wide throughout.
LIVING LEGEND - hampered near the 900 metres having to be steadied.
MR MIDNIGHT - hampered near the 900 metres having to be steadied. Had some difficulty obtaining clear racing room passing the 100 metres.
ROYAL JESTER - raced wide in the early and middle stages. Over-raced after reaching the parked position near the 1200 metres with driver A Edge not able to surrender the parked position despite his intentions.

REKLAW'S GEM - lay outwards in the run home.
BETTOR BEONTOIT - raced wide early stages.
MOCKINGJAY - raced fiercely in the early stages until surrendering the parked position near the 1200 metres causing driver J Young considerable difficulty.
CHEEZEL - raced wide early stages.
BELLA VELOCE - raced wide middle stages.
SHE'S OUTSTANDING - raced wide throughout and weakened on the final bend.
MAHKSMAN - raced wide early stages. Raced keenly passing the 1000 metres.

TAKE AFTER ME - placed in restricted room near the 350 metres and was checked into a pace.
DESPERATEANDANGEROUS - raced keenly middle stages. Driver B Borcoskie admitted a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly when shifting outwards near the 350 metres checking TAKE AFTER ME which paced. After submissions on penalty the JCA suspended Mr Borcoskie's licence from the conclusion of racing today up to and including 29 June 2018 (3 days).
LOVEY DOVEY MOMENT - trotted roughly in the early stages and again at the 600 metres for some distance. Broke at the 150 metres.
MONRIKA - back from the unruly position at the start. When questioned regarding the mare's performance driver S McNally advised he had been slightly disappointed with her efforts but expected she would derive benefit from the outing.

NIGHT SCHOOL - over-raced middle stages.
SAUCHIEHALL - driver C Thornley advised the sliding blinds were unable to be activated due to the cord breaking.
Following this event the track was upgraded to easy.
 
Race 5HARAS des TROTTEURS MOBILE TROTVideo  Video 
There was a delay to the start when ANNA KATE had to be attended to by the farrier.
ONE OVER DA SKYE - broke prior to the start checking RUTHLESS KAYLA with a false start being declared. Driver R May elected to move to the unruly position for the re-start. A warning was placed on the filly's barrier record. Held up on the final bend.
 
Race 6HYDROFLOW MOBILE PACEVideo  Video 
SAMSKARA - over-raced when leading in the middle stages.
POSSENTE CAVALLO - held up on the final bend.
MARTIN JOHN - hung outwards and raced roughly leaving the final bend. Driver D Keast advised the deafeners were not activated due to the cord becoming entangled.
NURBURGRING - checked near the 2100 metres.
ALTA SHELBY - checked near the 2100 metres.
PRADAS IDEAL DAHLING - raced greenly shortly after the start. Checked near the 2100 metres.
GUNPOWDER - checked near the 2100 metres.
HAYDEN'S MEDDLE - held up on the final bend.
FRANCO HAMPTON - hung outwards and made contact with the sulky of HUNDIE near the 2100 metres breaking in consequence A warning was placed on the gelding's racing record.
BRINGITONHOME - Trainer C Dalgety was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice for presenting BRINGITONHOME and HUNDIE with the incorrect saddlecloth numbers with this causing a delay to the start. Checked near the 2100 metres.
 
Race 7YALDHURST HOTEL MOBILE TROTVideo  Video 
HEAVENLY LOVE - carried a flat tyre from the 1000 metres.
STAR PRIDE - Stewards questioned driver S McNally regarding the manner he drove near the 350 metres. After taking evidence Stewards adjourned the matter to give it further consideration.
UNIQUE MARSHALL - broke shortly after the start.
SPURRED BY SUCCESS - trotted roughly throughout the final straight and as a result could not be fully tested by driver J Curtin.
TESSA'S ROCKET - held up early stages of the run home.
LIGHTWORKOFIT - over-raced in the middle stages.
SUPERFAST MAGGIE - inconvenienced in the early stages and had to be restrained. Attempted to shift out approaching the 1000 metres but when being steadied became awkwardly positioned close to the sulky of HEAVENLY LOVE and made contact causing that tyre to puncture. Stewards after speaking with driver A Stewart placed a warning on her record for attempting to shift ground when she was not entitled to do so.
JERRY GARCIA - raced wide in the middle stages.
 
Race 8METALCRAFT ROOFING MOBILE PACEVideo  Video 
The start was delayed when PROSECUTION WITNESS required attention from the farrier.
IZZY DAGG - hung outwards near the 1100 metres then over-raced for some distance placing driver S Tomlinson in difficulty.
THE CRIMSON PRINCE - broke shortly after the start losing ground. Broke again at the 1400 metres. Trainer/driver T McMillan advised he would be returning the gelding to the trials and may consider spelling his horse subsequent to that. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier record.
PROSECUTION WITNESS - paced roughly in the score up and was back at the start. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier record. Paced roughly again near the 700 metres.
PITCH PERFECT - out of position at the start. Driver M Anderson was issued with a warning.
 
Race 9BLUE STAR TAXIS MOBILE PACEVideo  Video 
LOCKED OUT OF HEAVEN - lay outwards near the 2400 metres making contact with TRACKSAREFORTRAINS which broke briefly.
TRACKSAREFORTRAINS - checked in the early stages and broke for a short distance in consequence. Paced roughly and locked wheels with OMAR SHARIF near the 600 metres losing ground.
TAKITIMU EXPRESS - driver K Butt advised the deafeners where not activated due to the cord becoming entangled.
GUCCI CAVALLO - raced wide and lay inwards in the early stages. Over-raced middle stages.
TOM ME GUN - held up throughout the run home.
OMAR SHARIF - underwent and passed a pre-race veterinary examination. Hung outwards and locked wheels with TRACKSAREFORTRAINS near the 600 metres losing ground. Held up on the final bend.
