CHARLIE HARPER - inconvenienced by a tiring runner inside the final 400 metres.
PAY MASTER - weakened inside the final 500 metres inconveniencing trailing runners. A post race veterinary examination detected no abnormality.
COMIC BOOK HERO - hampered shortly after the start. Tightened and had to be checked entering the first turn. From inside the 1100 metres became awkwardly placed for a distance inside of BANNER OF ART which was laying in badly. Amateur Driver D Blakemore was spoken to advisedly for the manner in which he drove entering the back straight the final time when attempting an inside run.
BANNER OF ART - hung in after the start hampering an inside runner and continued to lay in over the early stages tightening several inside runners entering the first turn when giving Amateur Horseman J Brownlee a difficult drive. Continued to hang in throughout. The gelding was declared ineligible and is to trial on one occasion before resuming.
VANHALEM - raced three wide throughout before weakening on the final turn.
FRANCO CALIPH - raced three wide from the 1100 metres.
WAINGARO MARA - held up early final turn.
THE C E O - tightened and contacted marker pegs entering the first turn and had to be checked. Amateur Driver R Frampton reported that THE C E O pulled a flat tyre over the final 600 metres.
WHALE RIDER - raced three wide early.

ROSE RYAL - inconvenienced by a tiring runner rounding the final turn and held up over the early stages of the run home.
CD EXPRESS - weakened passing the 400 metres inconveniencing a trailing runner.
BROOKE'S IMAGE - held up early stages of the run home. Driver J Stormont reported that he pulled a flat tyre from the 700 metres.
HALLMARKED - broke at the start losing its chance. A warning was placed on the gelding's mobile barrier manners.
MY BOY BOO - over-raced middle stages when outside the leader.

THE HURRICANE - held up rounding the final turn and the early stages of the run home.
MRS ZIPPY - caught three wide early before being improved forward to the lead passing the 1100 metres. Weakened in the run home.
RANGI RANGDU - raced three wide early before being improved forward.

GOTTA GO JET AWAY - weakened final stages.
RUSSIAN ALSU - held up early final turn.
CHEROKEE WARRIOR - commenced to improve three wide from the 1100 metres and then obliged to remain three wide when LYNTON CREEK held the position outside the leader.
LYNTON CREEK - raced three wide middle stages before crossing to race outside the leader near the 1400 metres. Lay in and paced roughly approaching the 400 metres losing ground.

TRINITY BROMAC - paced roughly when being restrained to the rear over the early stages.
SHEZA SPRINGFIELD - lay in rounding the final turn.
SOME CHANGE - raced three wide early.

ABOVE THE REST - broke racing towards the first bend losing ground.
RAVE NATION - broke at the start losing considerable ground.
XTRA TIME - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the mare's standing start manners.
SWINGING - broke at the start. Raced three wide early and middle stages before being restrained to the rear. Lost contact with the field 1000 metres to run.
FLYING TAINE - broke racing into the first bend and settled at the rear.
LITTLEBITOFLOVE - broke at the 2400 metres. Broke again inside the final 400 metres.
DANKE - Driver G Martin admitted a charge under Rule 869(4)(6)(b)(c) (Push Out Rule) in that he shifted DANKE outwards from the marker line passing the 1100 metres forcing PRIMUS INTER PARES to race wider on the track. After hearing submissions as to penalty the JCA imposed a fine of $400.00.
MONSEIGNEUR - broke over the early stages.
MALABAR SPUR - checked and inconvenienced when avoiding a breaking runner shortly after the start.
FRANCO NADAL - raced three wide early and middle stages.
PRIMUS INTER PARES - forced wider passing the 1100 metres. Weakened final stages.
