MAGASTEY - broke prior to the first bend and continued on in a break for a considerable distance. A Protest was lodged into the 4th place being awarded to this gelding in that it had breached the Breaking Horse Regulations with it being disqualified by the JCA. This gelding must trial to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to resuming. | |

IDEAL LOVER - under pressure from the 500 metres. When questioned regarding the performance Driver B Orange advised that the filly had performed to his expectations and he was not disappointed. | |
EASTON COASTER - hung inward through the early stages making contact with the outside wheel of MY PATRONUS. Continued to hang inward and pace indifferently throughout, weakening from the 500 metres. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no clinical abnormalities. Trainer B Norman advised it was his intention to retire the mare. | |

DOLCE DENARIO - weakened final bend. When questioned regarding the performance Driver M Williamson advised the filly had failed to handle the rise in class of tonight's race. A subsequent Veterinary examination revealed no clinical abnormalities with the connections advising they would be reassessing the filly's racing future. | |
ERROL FINN - hung inwards and became awkwardly placed on the wheel of RAH DE RAH which was improving outwards. Over-raced middle stages when being restrained to obtain cover. Weakened final bend. | |
DIANNE LORENA - when spoken to regarding the improved performance, the connections advised that the mare had appreciated being driven with a sit as opposed to having to work during the running to which it had been subjected to in recent racing. | |
