PAY MASTER - tended to lay out throughout the run home.
COMIC BOOK HERO - Amateur Driver L Darby reported that he had been unable to activate the removable deafeners due to the release cord becoming entangled.
REDMARO - raced three wide first 950 metres.
IDEALISTIC - raced three wide inside final 1000 metres.
SCANRECO BAY - raced three wide inside final 1100 metres.
SPARE CHANGE - raced three wide inside final 1050 metres.
WHALE RIDER - Amateur Driver M Maynard reported that he pulled a flat tyre from the 600 metres after it punctured.

LION ROCK - held up briefly final turn before shifting out off the leader's back. When questioned Driver B Mangos stated that he elected to shift out rather than wait on the passing lane due to the leader ARTCHIEVER CHAPEL commencing to give ground along with his gelding over racing.
ARTCHIEVER CHAPEL - raced erratically into and rounding the first bend before being improved to the lead at the 1700 metres. Shifted down into the sprint lane passing the 100 metres impeding a trailing runner. Driver D Butcher was warned to make a greater effort to keep his horse on a straight course in the run home in the future.
THE COORDINATOR - raced three wide early and middle stages before crossing to race outside the leader near the 1300 metres.
ARTY PHARTY - hampered near the 100 metres when attempting to improve in the passing lane.
LINCOLN'S GIRL - raced three wide early.
CHILLYSJUSTAMASTER - lay in in the score up and was a length out of position at the start. Continued to lay in at various stages of the running. Held up early final turn and then again near the 100 metres when looking for a run in the passing lane.
TAMARA GOLD - slow to move away out of the pre race circle and was three lengths out of position at the start. Driver J Stormont was warned to have his horse in position as required in the future.

RAVE NATION - Driver K Marshall was cautioned for having his right foot out of the sulky footrest over the early stages.
MALABAR SPUR - held up rounding the final bend.
DANKE - slow away.
CREDIT MASTER - broke approaching the 1500 metres before recovering to settle at the rear of the field.
BILLY AT SALSA - trotted unevenly over the latter stages.

WHATCHAGOT - impeded by a tiring runner near the 500 metres.
BROOKE'S IMAGE - impeded by a tiring runner near the 500 metres and paced roughly for several strides. Driver J Stormont reported that a sulky tyre deflated during the running.
COOLIE KID - paced roughly shortly after the start and again entering the first turn when being eased. Raced three wide from the 1500 metres. Drivers S Lawson (COOLIE KID) and D Butcher (WYNBERG DELIGHT) were questioned regarding the first turn where COOLIE KID paced roughly after contacting the sulky wheel of WYNBERG DELIGHT. It was established that COOLIE KID had contributed to the incident by over-racing at this stage and no further action was deemed necessary other than to remind Mr Butcher of his obligations when shifting ground.
NICE TO BE NORVIC - inconvenienced when there was an easing of the pace and broke near the 400 metres losing its chance.
ROSA BELLE - over-raced when attempting to ease back shortly after the start.
WYNBERG DELIGHT - raced three wide middle stages before briefly applying pressure to the leader near the 1100 metres. Commenced to tire passing the 500 metres inconveniencing trailing runners. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. When questioned regarding the tactics that he adopted during the middle stages Driver D Butcher explained that after having improved around to race outside the leader near the 1200 metres he elected to go forward to see if the lead was available but then when it became apparent that Driver S Phelan (IN THE SHADOWS) was intent on maintaining the lead, he took hold and was content to sit outside the leader. Mr Butcher further stated that WYNBERG DELIGHT had commenced to give ground racing down the back and felt that the gelding had not given of its best. Mr Butcher's comments were noted and a warning was placed on the gelding's racing performance.

SUMMER WEALTH - challenged middle stages when leading. Weakened final turn. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. When questioned regarding the gelding's performance Junior Driver J Mackinnon stated that the gelding had performed best when able to set its own terms in front so he elected to hold the lead when challenged midrace by AMERICAN LEGEND before easing the tempo but had been under pressure on the final turn and gave ground. He further added that the gelding had been sold to Australian interests and would not be racing again from the stable.
PRIME SILVER - inconvenienced briefly near the 300 metres.
GOTTA GO JET AWAY - raced three wide early. Hampered final turn by a tiring runner.
AMERICAN LEGEND - raced three wide for the first 600 metres before unsuccessfully contesting for the lead. Commenced to tire approaching the 400 metres hampering a trailing runner. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. When questioned regarding the tactics that he adopted passing the 1600 metres Driver J Abernethy stated that AMERICAN LEGEND had raced best when able to lead and had proved difficult in the past when restrained so he elected to drive forward in search of the lead however, SUMMER WEALTH had kicked up to his inside on leaving the back straight so he desisted with the challenge and was content to race without cover. He further stated that the filly had disappointed when commencing to weaken near the 400 metres and was momentarily placed in restricted room near the 300 metres when RUNCLE shifted ground to his inside. After considering the matter no further action was taken other than to remind Mr Abernethy of his obligations.

BROOKS BELLE - broke near the 1900 metres losing its chance.

HEZALUCKYGRINNER - tired passing the 500 metres. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
MAGICAL MISS - raced three wide early. Checked and paced roughly near the 300 metres when racing at the rear.
ROYAL LINCOLN - raced three wide early.
KIWI TINTIN - raced four wide early and three wide middle stages.
THREE KISSES - raced four wide early before being restrained to the rear.
COUNT LANDECK - held up early final turn and raced roughly.
FOREVER PEARL - tightened and contacted several marker pegs near the 1750 metres. Held up final turn.
CHRISTANNA - tightened briefly near the 1750 metres.
KOTARE CULLEN - raced four wide early. Junior Driver J MacKinnon was cautioned for the manner in which he shifted ground entering the back straight the first time which tightened inside runners.

CREDIT MASTER - underwent a veterinary examination after starting in Race 3 and was cleared to start. Driver A Neal admitted a charge under Clause (b) of the 'Use Of The Whip Regulations' and the JCA suspended his Horseman's Licence up to and including 7 June 2018 (3 days).
MASSIVE METRO - broke at the start losing all chance. This gelding was declared unruly for future mobiles at the trainer's request.
C K SPUR - connections supplied a veterinary clearance after having fallen when involved in a racing incident at Auckland on Friday 11 May 2018. Raced three wide early. Broke at the 1200 metres checking trailing runners.
SUNSET PEAK - tired from the 600 metres. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. Trainer/Driver D Butcher advised that the mare had over-raced and that this had taken its toll.
REALMEIN - checked near the 1200 metres by a breaking runner.
CHARLEMAGNE - checked by a breaking runner near the 1200 metres. Broke briefly passing the 750 metres losing ground before settling.
WAR MACHINE - checked and had to take evasive action near the 1200 metres.

CAITLYN CLARKE - held up early in the run home.
SWEET MAGGIE RYAN - broke entering the first turn losing several lengths before settling. A warning was placed on the mare's racing manners. Lay in and paced roughly near the 200 metres. Held up final turn.
THE C E O - lay in approaching the 800 metres. Held up early final turn.
YASMINE BROMAC - was late scratched on veterinary advice at 6.27pm after being injured en route to the course.
CULLEN'S CAVIAR - raced fiercely score up and continued to over-race in the early stages before being taken out to improve forward to lead near the 1100 metres.
TROJAN BANNER - Driver Z Butcher advised that the removable deafeners failed to activate despite his efforts early in the run home.

DAUNTLESS - broke near the 1300 metres losing its chance.
LUNDQVIST - broke entering the first turn losing considerable ground. Broke again near the 700 metres when trailing the field. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners.
FREE BIRD - broke near the 200 metres losing all chance. A final warning was placed on the mare's racing manners.
