BRINGITONHOME was incorrectly shown as a scratching in Race 10 for a period of time yesterday afternoon with the horse being reinstated into the field with the permission of the Chairman of Harness Racing New Zealand.

The incorrect distance was shown in the on-course Race book for Race 8.

The start was delayed due to the ambulance being late to arrive on course.
KEN'S DREAM - hung inwards and trotted roughly in the middle stages. Continued to trot roughly in the home straight.
KIITOS - broke in the early stages. Weakened final bend.
CABELLA NOIR - broke with 200 metres to run.
SOME TIME - hung inwards in the home straight.
WINDSOR - hung inwards leaving the final bend. Broke near the 200 metres.
ONE YANKEE SON - broke in the early stages. Broke with 300 metres to run.
FUTURE QUEEN - broke in the early stages. Authorisation of 3rd place was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the mare had complied with the Breaking Horse Regulations.

CHAIN REACTION - denied clear racing room late in the run home.
WITH THE BAND - held up final bend and over-raced. Struck a pylon entering the final straight. Brushed a pylon near the 50 metres. Driver L O'Reilly was warned to make a greater effort to avoid making contact with track markers. Placed in restricted room late in the run home.
FRANCO GARCIA - hung outwards in the home straight. Placed in restricted room late in the run home.
THE KINGPIN - raced wide early stages. Placed in restricted room near the 50 metres and had to be steadied.
NGATIRA - raced wide early stages. Hung inwards throughout. Weakened final bend.
KING OF HEROES - shifted inwards in the run home. Driver C DeFilippi was warned to make a greater effort to maintain a straight course in the run home. Mr DeFilippi was also cautioned to ensure his whip remains within the confines of the sulky.
ONEDIN EXPRESS - over-raced middle stages. Hung inwards and broke with 600 metres to run when being shifted wider on the track.
FIRSTJOY - held up final bend and had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the home straight.
DOWNTOWN TRAIN - improved wide without cover through the middle stages after over-racing.

CHAAAT - held up on the home turn.
NANS CHOICE - broke at the start checking outside runners. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.
MOSSDALE ART - checked and broke at the start.
TINKER TAILOR - checked at the start unbalancing driver B Orange.
FLETCH - held up on the final bend. Hung inwards in the home straight.
GOTTA TICKET - the boring pole was removed prior to the start after warming up unfavourably. Broke at the start.
SWEENEY TODD - over-raced throughout when leading. Driver T Chmiel reported the gelding had been striking his sulky wheels.
AMIRA - weakened final bend.
B MAC C - broke at the start.
STAR PAIGE - broke at the start.
ALL MONEY - checked at the start losing ground.
SOUNDS BETTOR - hampered at the start. Placed in restricted room late in the run home.

RUBY SEDDON - broke in the score up and was out of position at the start. Broke again with 600 metres to run.
TONIQUE DE FEU - raced wide early stages. Hung outwards leaving the final bend and broke.
THE PEAKY BLINDER - weakened final bend.
ORLANDO MAGIC - over-raced early and middle stages. Hung inwards final bend.
KOWHAI SUNDOWN - broke at the start.
CHEERFUL - raced wide early stages.
STEEL LEGEND - the rein pricker was removed prior to the start. Broke in the score up and was out of position at the start. Broke after 100 metres losing all chance.
YOU REALLY GOT ME - raced wide early stages. Raced wide through the home straight with a lap to run then paced and was broken up by driver J Dunn losing its chance.
JAKE THE MUS - driver B Orange advised he was unable to drive the colt out with vigour in the home straight due to the horse trotting roughly.

ROCKNPOP - weakened over the concluding stages. Stewards will follow up the recovery of the mare with trainer K Ford in the coming days.
WESTY BOYZ - shifted out slightly in the score up hampering UNIQUE MARSHALL. Held up on the final bend and in the early stages of the run home. Trotted roughly late in the home straight.
UNIQUE MARSHALL - the required veterinary clearance was received. Hampered and broke in the score up losing considerable ground. Weakened final bend. The all clear was delayed until Stewards had reviewed a replay of the score up and determined that the gelding had received interference prior to the start. Acting under Rule 213(1)(j) Stewards declared UNIQUE MARSHALL a non runner.
THE GREAT REDEEMER - broke as the start was effected losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the mobile barrier record of the filly.
WELL DEFINED - trotted roughly in the home straight.
NATIVES LASTING LOVE - raced wide through the early stages.
Stable representative S Tomlinson advised Stewards on 12 May that ROCKNPOP had recovered well from its last start and will continue with its current preparation.

GARRY'S LEGACY - held up early stages of the run home.
HES FAST AND FURIOUS - paced roughly in the home straight.
KIEL - over-raced when in the parked position through the middle stages.
TAKE AFTER ME - locked wheels momentarily with FLAMBOYANT late in the score up. Raced wide in the early stages.
FLAMBOYANT - locked wheels momentarily with TAKE AFTER ME late in the score up.
THE KAIK - over-raced in the early and middle stages. Hampered near the 600 metres. Weakened leaving the final bend. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. The connections advised the gelding will be sent for a spell.
SKY CITY KING - broke briefly with 600 metres to run after a slight easing of the pace.
IREBY MEG - over-raced in the early stages. Hampered near the 600 metres.
CLARENDON FALCON - forced four wide passing the 600 metres. Weakened final bend.

MADDISONS DESIRE - hung outwards and paced roughly in the middle stages.
MOTU BETTOR BE QUICK - held up final bend and in the early stages of the home straight.
ANYTIME - held up by a tiring runner on the final bend and in the early stages of the home straight.
SPIRIT OF DELIGHT - paced roughly late in the score up and was back slightly at the start.
PATANJALI - weakened final bend. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Stewards will follow up the recovery of the mare in the coming days.
AWESOME SPEED - the connections advised the mare would be racing in season.
Co-Trainer T Chmiel advised Stewards on 9 May that subsequent to its disappointing performance at Rangiora on 6 May PATANJALI has been sent for a spell.

THE CRIMSON PRINCE - hung outwards in the score up. Raced wide early stages. Hung inwards near the 200 metres and came together with ADIEU FLIRT.
GOTTA PARTY DOLL - raced wide early stages.
ADIEU FLIRT - over-raced middle stages. Came together with THE CRIMSON PRINCE near the 200 metres. Driver J Cox was warned to make a greater effort to ensure his horse does not shift outwards leaving the final bend.
TRIBECA - trainer A Fitzgerald was charged a $25 colour fee.
EXTREME STRIDE - briefly held up leaving the final bend. Stewards questioned driver D Dunn regarding the tactics he adopted from the 800 metres. Mr Dunn explained that he improved three wide at this stage of the race and was able to obtain cover. However rounding the final bend the runners ahead of him had been forced to race four wide on the track so he elected to shift ground down the track as his horse was hanging inwards. Mr Dunn added that once entering the home straight he was able to utilise the passing lane and obtain a clear run to the finish. After considering Mr Dunn's explanation, Stewards were satisfied his actions were not unreasonable and no further action was deemed necessary.
 
Race 9AIRPARK CANTERBURY CONGRATULATES ALTA ORLANDO HANDICAP PACEVideo  Video 
TERRIER - held up leaving the final bend and in the early stages of the run home.
OVERARM - over-raced from the 800 metres. Held up early and middle stages of the run home.
MARTIN JOHN - broke at the start.
REGAL MAJOR - weakened final bend. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Co-trainer J Cox advised he would have the horse further examined by a Veterinarian in the coming days and would notify Stewards of anything which may become apparent.
SCARLETT BANNER - broke at the start.
HUNDIE - broke at the start.
SMARTER VC - trainers C & J DeFilippi were issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice after SMARTER VC was presented with blinds which had not been notified. Hung inwards when held up leaving the final bend and in the early stages of the run home.
Co-Trainer J Cox advised Stewards on 11 May that REGAL MAJOR has been treated for a virus since its performance at Rangiora last Sunday with Mr Cox adding that the gelding will have a brief spell while recovering.
 
Race 10NZ AMATEUR DRIVERS CHAMPS 27TH MAY MOBILE PACEVideo  Video 
REAL DASH - over-raced through the middle stages when racing in the parked position. Commenced to tire on the final bend.
SKIPPERLAND - broke in the score up checking runners on the second line with a false start being declared. Driver R Holmes elected to move to the unruly position for the re-start. Stood down to complete one satisfactory mobile trial. Raced keenly and wide in the early stages. Continued to over-race in the middle stages.
DEBNITA ROSE - held up by a tiring runner on the final bend. Had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the home straight. When questioned regarding the tactics he adopted near the 600 metres, driver B Orange reported that he had attempted to improve three wide however the mare had resented the boring pole and locked onto one rein causing him difficulty and as a result was unable to shift wider on the track.
BRINGITONHOME - raced wide early stages. Hung outwards leaving the final bend despite the efforts of driver D Dunn.
AWAYOVERNIGHT - held up leaving the final bend and in the early stages of the home straight.
IDEAL RULE - held up final bend.
