Race 1BOOK YOUR MID-WINTER XMAS PARTY AT ALEX PARK HCP TROTVideo  Video 
HERE WE ARE - broke approaching the 2000 metres and while in a gallop locked sulky wheels with ANZAC which was badly checked. Junior Driver T Fensom was dislodged from the sulky of HERE WE ARE and the mare took no further part in the race. Ms Fensom was examined and cleared by the St Johns Ambulance staff. A warning was placed on the racing manners of HERE WE ARE. The mare was placed on the unruly for standing starts at the trainer's request.
AWHI MAI - broke at the start losing all chance.
TOBRUK - checked at the 2000 metres and broke losing considerable ground passing the 1250 metres and then trailed the field.
MAJESTIC HURRICANE - broke briefly at the start losing several lengths before being badly inconvenienced by an incident racing into the first bend with Driver A Herlihy taking the gelding to the inside of the track marker line with the gelding galloping a distance before recovering again losing considerable ground. The authorisation of its 4th placing was withheld until such time that it was established that the gelding complied with Breaking Horses Regulation.
AS FREE AS AIR - checked at the 2000 metres.
LITTLEBITOFLOVE - checked at the 2000 metres. Broke inside the 150 metres.
ANZAC - locked sulky wheels with a galloping runner passing the 2000 metres and was badly checked pulling a flat tyre and being pulled up at the 1000 metres.
MON ARCHIE WAY - checked at the 2000 metres when taking evasive action. Broke approaching the 1300 metres losing ground before settling.

TRINITY BROMAC - hung and paced roughly late in the score up and was out of position at the start.
COWBOYS N INDIANS - held up rounding the final bend and had some difficulty obtaining clear running over the early stages of the run home.
ROYAL LINCOLN - momentarily inconvenienced when checking off the back of HUNTER BROMAC after there was an easing of the pace passing the 1800 metres.

ENGLISH ROSE - held up rounding the final bend and shifted wider on the track to obtain clear running passing the 200 metres. When questioned regarding the performance Trainer/Driver T Herlihy stated that the mare was best served with a solid pace throughout as she lacks real high speed and had been unable to make up the leeway with the fast last quarter run in 28.4.
SEZANA - Trainer C Dalgety was charged a $25 colour fee.
QUICK AS FIRE - over-raced between the 800 metres and 300 metres when at the rear.
JENORA - raced three wide from inside the 1050 metres.
SHENANDOAH - raced three wide for the first 600 metres before reaching a position one outside the leader then tired inside the final 200 metres. When questioned regarding the performance stable representative W Rich advised that the early effort being caught wide had probably taken its toll along with the filly not having backed up in what was its second run back from a spell.
HELENA IDEAL - raced three wide from the 1100 metres, four wide inside the final 400 metres, paced roughly passing the 200 metres.

LYNBAR ROSE - held up rounding the final bend and the early stages of the run home.
QUEEN LOSTRIS - three wide final 1000 metres and shuffled wide entering the straight for the run home.
CHRISTANNA - three wide final 1000 metres.

SPEEDY LAVROS - inconvenienced by a galloping runner passing the 1400 metres.
FREE BIRD - broke losing its chance approaching the 1400 metres inconveniencing trailing runners. The mare was declared ineligible and is to complete a satisfactory trial before resuming.
RAVE NATION - broke at the start and locked sulky wheels with JANSSON, continued in a gallop losing considerable ground and trailed the field. A warning was placed on the standing start manners of RAVE NATION.
JANSSON - locked wheels with a galloping runner to its inside shortly after the start, checked by a galloping runner to its outside shortly after.
OUR PETITE LADY - broke at the start shifting inward checking a runner, continued in a gallop losing ground and trailing the field.
THE HULK - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground.
MAKAREWA JAKE - inconvenienced by a galloping runner passing the 1400 metres.

The authorisation of the payment of the dividends was withheld until such time that it was confirmed by Junior Driver B Butcher that the chances of WHATCHAGOT were not affected at the start and by Driver S Lawson that the chances of LA VITESSE were similarly not affected at the start. Starter F Phelan was shown the video coverage of the start and advised that he would have been more prudent to call a false start given the circumstances.
NICE TO BE NORVIC - hung out and paced roughly late in the score up and broke at the start checking a trailing runner. A warning was placed on this mare's mobile barrier manners.
MR YIPS - raced greenly throughout the score up and was back from position at dispatch inconveniencing a second line horse. Had to shift ground early in the run home to obtain clear running and raced greenly. A warning was placed on the colt's mobile barrier manners record.
WHATCHAGOT - checked at the start, shifted ground inward to avoid a galloping runner. Momentarily inconvenienced when tiring by a runner shifting outward to its inside passing the 150 metres.
LA VITESSE - inconvenienced score up and was back from position at dispatch.

CREDIT MASTER - broke approaching the 1200 metres with Driver A Neal shifting the gelding into the passing lane for safety reasons When trotting in the passing lane Mr Neal secured a position in front of KD HALL with approximately 1050 metres to run. Stewards reviewed the video coverage with Mr Neal and advised him that given similar circumstances he would be expected to restrain in behind KD HALL so as to not cause that runner any inconvenience. The gelding was checked by a galloping runner near the 750 metres causing it to gallop for several strides.
BILLY AT SALSA - broke for a distance shortly after the start losing ground. The authorisation of the gelding's 4th placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied that it complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation.
GEORGE - broke approaching the 750 metres checking trailing runners.
MASSIVE METRO - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground.
MAJESTIC ALI - lay in passing the 300 metres dislodging a track marker.
KD HALL - slow away. Inconvenienced by galloping runners approaching the 750 metres.

RICHARD LE FORT - Junior Driver S. Iremonger advised that he did not activate the removable deafeners.
JAMIESON SHARD -paced roughly over the initial stages of the race. Improved three wide middle stages. Paced roughly passing the 1000 metres.
BUBBLE GUM - raced without cover early, shuffled back during the middle stages, failed to run on inside the final 400 metres. Trainer S Reid advised that he was disappointed with the gelding's performance and believes it did not back up from its hard run last start. The gelding appears to have recovered well but will be freshened before resuming.
SCANRECO BAY - held up early stages of the run home.
POPPY DRAYTON - three wide inside the final 1200 metres.
CHRISTIAN WHO - trapped on the running line until the 900 metres, held up rounding the final bend then shifted wide in an attempt to improve.
SPRING CAMPAIGN - broke passing the 900 metres losing its chance. The entire was declared ineligible until it completes a satisfactory trial.

WESTBURN BLISS - hung badly during the running and failed to maintain contact with the field. Junior Driver B Butcher advised that the horse's bit had slipped through its mouth giving him a very difficult drive.
POCKET MISS - held up rounding the final bend obtaining clear running inside the final 150 metres.
