BEG FOR CHEVRON - lay in contacting pylons passing the 800 metres.
ABOVE THE REST - broke approaching the first bend losing ground.
AWA CATHRINE - inclined to lay in rounding the bends.
BET'S COMMANDO - broke at the start. Broke briefly passing the 250 metres. Trainer D Kessell advised that the mare would trial prior to resuming.
CAITLIN'S SURPRISE - broke racing into the first bend losing ground.

UNCLE DREW - Junior Driver B Laughton reported that he had been unable to active the deafeners due to the cord becoming entangled.
IT'S ME - paced roughly over the initial stages and proceeded to lay in rounding the bends. Driver D Butcher confirmed the gelding hung badly and that it would be returned to its South Island owner.
J BEE - the front plates were removed prior to the start. Locked wheels late in the run home when in restricted room.
WYNBERG DELIGHT - back from position throughout the score up.
ARTY PHARTY - lay in and was back from position during the score up.
DRIZELLA - back from position throughout the score up.
CHOICE LUSTRE - locked wheels late in the run home when in restricted room.
TACTICAL CHANGE - weakened over the final stages. A post race veterinary examination revealed an elevated respiratory rate. Trainer M House advised he would monitor the geldings recovery over next few days and report to Stewards if anything surfaces that would explain this disappointing run.

AMARO - failed to get clear racing room until late in the run home.
JJ'S DELIGHT - raced without cover before receiving a trail approaching the 900 metres. Attempted to improve three wide from the 400 metres but only battled to finish in eighth place beaten 3 lengths. When questioned regarding the performance Driver B Orange advised that he had pulled a flat tyre from the 400 metres but felt that the mare had not backed up from its first day run.
CHELSEA ELLA - required a sulky wheel change which delayed the start by two minutes.
RACKETEERS BOY - held up rounding the final bend and in the early stages of the run home.

FRANCO EMPIRE - over-raced middle stages.
MARRERA - over-raced when being restrained early.
MOGUL - raced three wide early.

NERVE OF STEEL - improved to race outside the leader from inside the 1300 metres and weakened in the run home finishing in sixth place beaten 8.5 lengths.

FOUR STARZZZ LEGEND - Driver G Martin was cautioned in regard to allowing the gelding to shift wider on the track during the course of the run home.
APOCALYPSE - raced three wide without cover inside the last 1100 metres.
HANNAH EXTREME - over-raced middle stages. Weakened inside the final 400 metres. A post race veterinary examination revealed a poor recovery. Trainer M House advised that HANNAH EXTREME had not been suited by the longer distance of tonight's event and felt that the mare had not backed up from its first day run.
OUR WICKLOW - lay out during the score up.
ARCANO - back from position at the start. Driver S Doody was warned to maintain his position until dispatch in the future.

PORT DELIGHT - held up rounding the final bend.
SAUCHIEHALL - tended to shift out under pressure over the final stages. Driver B Orange advised that the offside sliding blind failed to activate.
HEZALUCKYGRINNER - inclined to lay out over the early and middle stages.
