PORT DELIGHT - raced towards the rear then shifted out to race three wide without cover near the 600 metres and was taken wide on the final turn but was unable to make up much ground in the run home to finish in seventh place beaten 4.1 lengths. | |
SAUCHIEHALL - broke late in the score up losing several lengths before settling. A warning was placed on the mare's mobile barrier manners. Paced roughly near the 1100 metres. Had some difficulty obtaining clear running in the home straight. Junior Driver B Laughton reported that the ear plugs failed to release when he activated the deafener hood. | |
LYNTON CREEK - Trainer/Driver D Butcher reported that the near fore hopple carrier broke during the running resulting in the hopple loop dropping and placing him at a considerable disadvantage. This gear was inspected and found to be in good order with Mr Butcher deemed not to be at fault. | |
