SOME CHANGE - when questioned regarding the improved performance Trainer S Telfer explained that the gelding was one paced and had been suited with racing outside the leader in tonight's event with a solid tempo throughout in what was the gelding's third run for the stable after a spell. Mr Telfer further explained that tonight's event was probably a drop back in class and that the gelding had not been suited to the way the race had been run at its previous start when taking a trail during the middle stages after having worked three wide early. | |

LINC'S BUTE GIRL - led up before commencing to give ground on the final turn. Briefly locked wheels near the 100 metres. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Driver Z Butcher advised that after being challenged for the lead early the filly over-raced and again raced too keenly for its own good in the middle stages when the two wide line was improving forward. Weakened in the run home and was checked momentarily near the 100 metres when tiring. Mr Butcher advised that he would be recommending gear changes to the connections in an attempt to getting the filly to relax in the running. | |
