| SANTANNA LAD - removed from the race passing the 1900 metres due to the undercheck strap coming adrift and hanging loose around the horse's front legs. The all clear was delayed until Stewards could confirm that at the start point the gear was in place and in good condition. After speaking with the Starter and driver S Ottley SANTANNA LAD was deemed a runner. | |
| AIN'T NOTHING BETTOR - under pressure to maintain its position near the 1400 metres and then compounded passing the 1200 metres and was not persevered with. A post-race veterinary examination showed no abnormalities. The connections were advised the mare is stood down pending a satisfactory trial. | |
| GLENGARRY KNIGHT - held up in the early stages of the run home. | |
| DOWNTOWN TRAIN - refused to come out of the pre-race circle on terms losing considerable ground and having to work hard in the score up to take up its position. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier record. Over-raced in the middle stages. | |

| THE BLOSS - brushed with several pylons throughout the final straight. The all clear was delayed until it could be confirmed the mare's sulky wheels did not move inside the track marker line. Notwithstanding this driver B Borcoskie was issued with a warning for allowing his sulky to contact markers. | |

He added that he would be having blood tests taken in the coming days and undertook to notify the results of these tests to Stewards. | |
