A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Connections advised they would no longer be persevering with the gelding as a racing proposition from their stable. | |

| GRACE BURNS - shifted ground inwards entering the first bend crowding an inside runner. Driver K Barclay was warned for the manner she shifted ground at this point. K Barclay admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) in that she used her whip in an excessive manner inside the final 400 metres. After viewing replays and hearing submissions on penalty, the JCA suspended Mrs Barclay's licence to drive from the conclusion of racing today up to and including 19 May 2018 (5 days.) | |

| FIERY FERRET - weakened on the final bend. Returned to the stabling area showing signs of lameness. Co-trainer G Knight reported that they we would be reassessing the racing future of the gelding. Stewards will follow up with connections in coming days. | |
