Race 2 - SPEIGHTS SUMMER ULTRA LOW CARB BEER MOBILE PACE
Trainer R Dunn advised Stewards on 18 April that blood tests taken from TYRON BETTOR'S ELLA following its disappointing performance on 13 April have shown clear results. Mr Dunn added that the mare has worked very well this week and the stable is expecting a much improved performance this Friday at Alexandra Park.
Race 6 - WOODLANDS STUD WEANLINGS SALE JUNE 1ST 2018 MOBILE PACE
Trainer S Reid advised Stewards on 18 April that RAIN MAN has recovered well following its disappointing performance at Auckland last Friday. Mr Reid was of the opinion that a tough trial earlier in the week had taken the edge off the gelding which is now being freshened to resume on 27 April.

AGINCOURT - broke for a few strides at the start and was slow away.
COMEDY ACT - broke shortly after the start. Broke then paced then broke again losing all chance. A warning was placed on the entire's racing manners record.
AWA CATHRINE - inclined to lay in rounding the bends.
ANZAC - broke racing into the first bend losing ground.
MON ARCHIE WAY - broke for several strides passing the 1800 metres.
I'M JUST AWESOME - broke approaching the winning post on the first occasion losing considerable ground.

ARDEN'S SILHOUETTE - checked losing 4 lengths after locking wheels with a galloping runner shortly after the start.
SPIRIT OF LOVE - broke shortly after the start inconveniencing second row runners and while in gallop lay in and locked sulky wheels with ARDEN'S SILHOUETTE. A warning was placed on the mare's mobile barrier manners.
LAGERTHA - checked by a galloping runner shortly after the start and broke for several strides. Caught three wide early before improving forward to race outside the leader passing the 1400 metres. Held up rounding the final bend.
MAVERICK MUCHACHO - raced three wide from inside the 700 metres. Forced to race wider on the home bend and stopped quickly finishing well back.
ABOUT TURN - took evasive action shifting inside a galloping runner shortly after the start.
ARTCHIEVER CHAPEL - slow to move out of the pre-race circle and lay in prior to the start being a length out of position. Raced three wide before racing outside the leader at the 800 metres. The filly, which was having its first start, raced greenly and fiercely before weakening in the run home.
IT'S ME - three wide with cover inside the final 700 metres. Raced greenly rounding the final bend shifting wider on the track.

TENNYSON INLET - raced keenly in the early and middle stages. Approaching the 1300 metres momentarily shifted ground outward before being corrected back to the marker line when DELIGHTFUL ART improved to its outside. Held up rounding the final bend.
PRIME SILVER - over-raced in the middle stages. Held up rounding the final bend and the early and middle stages of the run home. Junior driver A Harrison advised that she did not activate the removable deafeners as a result.
RUSSIAN ALSU - paced unevenly at various stages.
RUNCLE - three wide early before being improved to race outside the leader passing the 1400 metres. Driver L Hollis advised that after having raced parked for the majority of the race the gelding only battled throughout the run home.
 
Race 4BRECKON FARMS MOBILE PACEVideo  Video 
TAMARA GOLD - broke shortly after the start inconveniencing trailing runners before settling at the rear. A warning was placed on the filly's mobile barrier manners.
WOMENINLEAGUE - inconvenienced by a galloping runner shortly after the start.
ARTY PHARTY - inconvenienced by a galloping runner shortly after the start.
BETTOR EDITION - checked losing four lengths approaching the 400 metres when being restrained off the back of SOLE DELIGHT.
SOLE DELIGHT - paced unevenly on a number of occasions. Four wide approaching the 600 metres, shifted into three wide shortly after easing GLENN FORD inward before being eased out four wide by GLENN FORD approaching the 400 metres and paced roughly losing several lengths.

JUST ANYTHING - broke at the start and settled at the rear.
GREY STOKE - broke racing into the first bend. Broke again approaching the 400 metres and failed to settle. This gelding was subsequently stood down until it trials satisfactory.
FRANCO NADAL - raced without cover throughout and weakened out in the run home.
NEED LUCK - broke at the start losing ground. Held up throughout the run home.
HARRY H - over-raced middle stages.
SIR HENRY CASTLETON - broke shortly after the start losing ground.
RAVE NATION - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground.
MONSEIGNEUR - fractious prior to the start causing a minor delay. Held up rounding the final bend and the early stages of the run home. When questioned regarding the manner in which he drove approaching the 400 metres Junior driver F Schumacher explained that he had elected to improve forward to the inside of LUCK OF THE MOMENT when that filly commenced to improve three wide as he had GREY STOKE racing to his outside and that MONSEIGNEUR had performed best when saved up for one run. Mr Schumacher further stated that GREY STOKE had then galloped after MONSEIGNEUR had improved to the inside of LUCK OF THE MOMENT and he would have had to restrain back losing ground to shift out onto LUCK OF THE MOMENT's back. Mr Schumacher's explanation was duly noted.

MRS ZIPPY - held up throughout the run home when unable to secure clear running.
MCDAKNIFE - over-raced middle stages when outside the leader.
FOUR STARZZZ LEGEND - paced roughly shortly after the start losing ground. Tended to lay in at various stages. Weakened run home. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
 
Race 7GROUP 1 TURF BAR MOBILE PACEVideo  Video 
ALLY MAE - held up briefly by a tiring runner rounding the final bend.
CHEROKEE WARRIOR - lay in rounding the final bend losing momentum prior to straightening for the run home.
ATOM HANOVER - weakened from inside the final 400 metres.
SCHERGER CHIEF - over-raced middle stages.
 
Race 8CAMBRIDGE EQUINE HOSPITAL MOBILE PACEVideo  Video 
AMERICAN LEGEND - over-raced middle stages. Gave ground near the 1000 metres and trailed the field. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. Driver S Abernethy advised that the filly had lost its tongue tie during the running and that he felt it had commenced to choke down near the 1000 metres before recovering shortly after.
SPARE CHANGE - tended to shift out under pressure early in the run home.
THREE KISSES - raced three wide from the 1400 metres and was under pressure on the final turn before battling on into 5th place beaten 5.4 lengths.
TORO DELAGO - over-raced middle stages.
