Race 9 - LAMB & HAYWARD 4 & 5 YEAR OLD TROTTING CHAMPIONSHIP (HCP)
Trainer B Gray advised Stewards on 7 April that SMOKEY MAC had a brief freshener after racing at Addington on 31 March and has now fully recovered. Mr Gray was of the opinion that gelding had got stirred up prior to the start of that race with this contributing to its disappointing performance.

Race 3 - PARK & EVENT CENTRE MOBILE PACE
Trainer K Larsen advised Stewards on 7 April that BOTTEGA has recovered well following its disappointing performance at Forbury Park on 5 April with the filly most likely going back to the workouts and/or trials before resuming.

Race 8 - FINAL TOUCH / STIRLING AUTO REPAIRS MOBILE PACE
Trainer W Adams advised Stewards on 9 April that blood tests taken from OUR PROMISE following its disappointing performance at Ascot Park on 7 April revealed no abnormalities with the filly now being sent for a spell.
Race 11 - REGENT SOUTH 167 CLYDE STREET MOBILE PACE
Caretaker Trainer N Williamson advised Stewards on 11 April that TUAPEKA TRICK has recovered well following its disappointing performance at Ascot Park on Saturday. Mr Williamson added that the gelding has worked pleasingly this week and he will consider some gear changes for this weekend's engagement at Winton.

MADISON JANE - trotted roughly over the concluding stages.
AMBRO AMEIGO - underwent a pre-race warm up. Broke racing into the first bend losing considerable ground.
M'LORD MACKENDON - When questioned regarding the performance junior driver T Dewe was unable to offer any explanation other than to advise he was disappointed with the effort over the final stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an elevated heart and respiratory rate. Connections advised it was their intention to have further veterinary tests conducted in the coming days. Stewards will follow this up with trainer K Barclay.
NOBLE GAMBLE - broke near the 1500 metres losing its chance.
FIRA - trotted roughly on the final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver B Orange advised the mare had been unsuited to having to race wide for the final 800 metres. Trainer D Simpson advised the mare would be relocated from his training care.
PRES THE BELLE - improved wide from the 800 metres. When questioned regarding the performance driver D Dunn was unable to offer any explanation. Removed from the Unruly for future standing start events.
KO WRECTED - broke racing into the first bend.

JAFFIE J - Driver M Williamson reported he was unable to activate the removable deafeners applied to the filly due to the cord breaking.
ZINNY MACH - raced wide in the early stages before improving to the lead.
CAST NO SHADOW - paced roughly and broke briefly rounding the final bend.
GIVE HIM A CHANCE - hampered on the final bend and had to shift outwards to improve.

ALFIE ROMEO - improved wide without cover from the 1000 metres.
EDIE JACCKA - had the rein pricker removed prior to the start due to the gelding warming up unfavourably. Lay in throughout the final straight becoming held up over the final stages.
AY BOY - raced wide without cover until the 1400 metres. Lay outwards when weakening on the final bend.
BETSTARS BLUE JEAN - had difficulty obtaining clear running in the final straight with junior driver M Hurrell reporting that due to this he did not activate the removable deafeners applied to the gelding.
DOUBT ME NOT - held up over the final stages having to be steadied.
I'MALLABOUTTHEBASE - raced wide in the early stages. Held up by a weakening runner on the final bend losing ground in consequence.
BAIA DO SANCHO - raced greenly in the score-up and was back off the gate at the dispatch.
UNLOADED - raced wide from the 1250 metres.

FOR REGAL - badly held up between the 600 metres and 500 metres. Driver A Armour was issued with a caution for the manner in which he shifted ground inwards near the 500 metres which caused FLEUR GALLEON to be hampered.
GOT ANOTHER LOVER - raced wide without cover in the early stages until reaching the parked position near the 1400 metres. Weakened near the 600 metres then compounded over the final stages finishing a distant last.
FLEUR GALLEON - raced wide without cover in the early stages. Had to be restrained on the bend near the 500 metres when in restricted room with the mare then being crowded inwards and having to race over pylons for a short distance.
RAKE - had to be restrained at the 600 metres when inconvenienced by a weakening runner with the gelding losing some ground in consequence.

DIPENDRA - trotted roughly in the final straight and had to be restrained near the 100 metres.
LYNETTE THE VET - weakened from the 400 metres.
ACE COMMANDER - hung inwards on the final bend and dislodged a track marker.
SUNDONS WISH - underwent a pre-race warm up. Improved wide without cover from the 1400 metres prior to assuming the lead near the 1250 metres. Driver D Dunn reported he did not activate the removable deafeners applied to the gelding due to having the field covered.
JEN JACCKA - slow through the early stages.
 
Race 6SOUTHERN BELLE MARES' SPEED SERIES FINAL (MOBILE PACE)Video  Video 
TARA TUTAIA - refused to leave the pre-race circle taking no part in the event. A warning was placed on the mare's mobile barrier record.
SPIRIT OF DELIGHT - raced wide without cover in the early stages. When questioned regarding the improved performance connections advised the mare had benefited from the drop back in distance today and the addition of blinds.

JEREMY JONES - raced roughly when being restrained on the first bend.
ZENOLA'S ART - over-raced in the middle stages. Weakened from the 1000 metres then compounded over the final stages and was distanced at the finishing line. When questioned regarding the performance driver B Orange advised the filly had choked down. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. A warning was placed on the filly's racing performance.
JABALI - locked wheels with KIWIS ARE FLYING for a short distance leaving the final bend.
BIG SMOKE - hung throughout the score-up and was out of position at the start.

HONOUR SCROLL - back off the gate at the dispatch despite the efforts of driver M Hurrell.
LOMA JACCKA - back off the gate at the dispatch despite the efforts of driver B Barclay. Weakened at the 600 metres then compounded over the final stages being distanced at the finishing line. Driver B Barclay reported the mare had been lethargic throughout and he was disappointed with the effort. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. A warning was placed on the mare's racing performance record.

GOVERNOR'S BAY - when questioned regarding the performance driver D Dunn could only advise he was disappointed with the gelding's effort over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slightly elevated heart rate. Stewards will follow up with trainer B Gray in the coming days.
MACH'S BACK - raced wide without cover in the early stages. Driver B Orange dropped his foot from the sulky footrest for a short distance passing the 1200 metres. Raced roughly entering the final straight.
KILOWATT KID - lay inwards throughout the final straight.
 
Race 9WINTON MITRE 10 NUGGET FINAL (MOBILE PACE)Video  Video 
BROADWAY BANNER - briefly shifted wider near the 1100 metres. Had to be heavily restrained near the 900 metres when awkwardly positioned close to the sulky of THATSWHATISAID.
MIGHTY CONQUEROR - Trainers M & D Shirley were charged a $25 Colour Fee.
THATSWHATISAID - driver K Larsen was issued with a warning for shifting outwards near the 1100 metres resulting in BROADWAY BANNER being briefly shifted wider on the track.
GLACIER COASTER - raced wide without cover from the 1800 metres until the 1400 metres. Weakened from the 600 metres.
THE DOORMAN - raced wide from the 1000 metres.
HARRYDAHORSE - when questioned regarding the gelding's performance driver C Ferguson advised he was disappointed with the effort however could offer no explanation. Stewards will follow up with trainer M Brown in the coming days.
DANGEROUS - driver N Williamson reported the colt to have hung throughout.
SHINDAL - removed from the Unruly for future mobile start events.
DAYS OF CHANGE - removed from the Unruly for future mobile start events.
 
Race 10WINTON BUSINESSES CUP (HANDICAP PACE)Video  Video 
FIERY FERRET - Stood on the mark then broke in the early stages losing ground. Heavily checked near the 450 metres.
SAGWITCH - broke at the start. A final warning was placed on the gelding's barrier record. Checked near the 450 metres.
ROYAL BENGAL - fractious behind the barrier. A warning was placed on the entire's barrier record. Broke for a short distance after the start.
FOUR STARZZZ SHIRAZ - broke at the start losing considerable ground. This gelding will now be drawn Unruly for future standing start events. Heavily checked near the 450 metres.
GOTTA MINUTE - heavily checked near the 450 metres.
YOUNG CONQUEROR - heavily checked near the 450 metres.
ALOKA - blundered and broke near the 450 metres and was retired from the race. As a result of this incident the colt sustained a compound fracture to the left hind cannon bone and was euthanised.
MY WEE MAN - trainer N McGrath was issued a Minor Infringement Notice and fined $50 for a late driver notification. Heavily checked near the 450 metres.

CAST A SHADOW - raced wide in the early stages.
TUAPEKA TRICK - lay inwards under pressure throughout the final straight.
DACHY - hung inwards and raced roughly when being restrained in the early stages.
IWANADANCEWITSUMBODY - out of position at the start with a warning being placed on the filly's mobile barrier record.
KAGEE VC - out of position at the start.
MAN I'M GOOD - out of position at the start. Driver A Kyle was issued with a warning to make a greater effort to be on the mobile barrier in future.
THE BULL PEN - weakened near the 500 metres. When questioned regarding the performance driver B Williamson could only advise he had been disappointed with the effort. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
NAVAJO ART - held up on the final bend having to be restrained and losing ground in consequence.
PAY ME THE CHANGE - held up over the concluding stages.
