It was established that driver K Marshall had commenced to shift prior to BILL HALEY covering his wheel and no further action was taken other than to remind Mr Marshall of his obligations in relation to the Push Out Rule. | |
BILL HALEY - improved three wide from the 1400 metres, briefly four wide approaching the 1200 metres, to race outside the leader at the 1000 metres. Weakened from inside the 500 metres finishing well back. A post race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. Trainer/driver J Abernethy advised that the tongue tie broke during the running, which may have contributed to the gelding's poor performance. | |
