THE POWER BROKER - broke shortly after the start losing its chance. Junior Driver E Barron was cautioned to ensure she obeys the Starters instructions in future.
GLENDHU GEM - broke near the 2250 metres losing its chance.
PAT THE MONKEY - junior driver J Morrison reported the gelding to have lay inwards rounding the bends throughout.
DREAM OF PAT - held up by a tiring runner from the 600 metres.
CHRISTMAS BABE - weakened from the 600 metres.
ROBBIE ROYALE - broke near the 2300 metres and then again on several occasions thereafter effectively losing its chance. Stewards spoke with Trainer B Norman in regards to this geldings continued display of poor racing manners. Mr Norman advised that it would be his intention to return ROBBIE ROYALE to the workouts and make several gear alterations prior to racing next in an attempt to rectify this issue.
ZONED SCARLETT - refused to step away with the field before breaking through the early stages losing ground. A warning was placed on the mare's barrier record. When questioned regarding the improved performance trainer D Simpson advised that an early gallop at the mare's recent start extinguished its chances and in his opinion had derived benefit from the additional distance of tonight's event. Mr Simpson requested the ZONED SCARLETT be drawn unruly for future standing start events.
COSMIC SUN - weakened on the final bend.
MASIES PRIDE - broke near the 1850 metres. A warning was placed on the mare's racing record.
MAGASTEY - trotted roughly and broke near the 900 metres and again passing the 300 metres.

The start of this race was delayed due to several runners displaying poor barrier manners. A false start was then declared when GEAR CHANGE shifted back onto AKRIS prior to the barrier being released causing this runner to be denied a fair start. A second false start was declared when PARTICULAR reared prior to the release of the barrier hampering AKRIS chances of a fair start.
PARTICULAR - displayed poor barrier manners. Reared as the start was effected for the re-start causing a second false start to be declared. Placed on the Unruly for the third attempt, where it will remain for future standing start engagements. Paced roughly first bend. Weakened final bend. Sustained a flat tyre near the 300 metres when weakening in front of trailing runner.
GEAR CHANGE - Displayed poor barrier manners. Caused false start and directed to start from the Unruly for the restart where it will remain for future standing start engagements. Trainer N Taylor advised that he would be restricting the mare to mobile barrier events for its immediate future.
ARIZONA HIGHWAY - tangled away. Broke rounding the first bend losing ground.
LOISSONYA - tangled away. Raced keenly through the middle stages. Held up final bend becoming awkwardly placed to the outside wheel of the weakening PARTICULAR (C Faithful) near the 300 metres. Further held up early and middle stages of the run home.
ARMSTRONG - displayed poor barrier manners breaking its Over-check with this and it's pole being removed. Sent to Unruly position for the restart where it will remain for future standing start engagements. Co-trainer G Knight advised that he would be restricting the gelding to mobile barrier events for its immediate future. Raced keen through the middle stages.
CHAIN REACTION - raced green and hung outwards exiting the final bend.
FEAR ROCKN - broke at the start.
BOUND TO BE BETTOR - displayed poor barrier manners.
AKRIS - had its chances of a fair start denied on 2 occasions with false starts being declared. Slow through the early stages.
TOM RULE - broke at the start.
AFRO DIZZY YAK - broke after 100 metres losing its chance.

RAPHOE - weakened from the 500 metres.
MOTU SPEEDY STAR - broke entering the first bend losing its chance. Trainer E Latimer requested the hopples be added to the gelding's gear for its upcoming engagement at Waimate on Sunday.
AVEROSS RUSTLER - held up by a tiring runner rounding the final bend.
CALENDAR GIRLZ - held up by a weakening runner rounding the final bend and through the early and middle stages of the run home.
LINTON SHARD - over-raced in the middle stages.

AIN'T NOTHING BETTOR - raced roughly in the early stages. Weakened from the 500 metres. When questioned regarding the seemingly disappointing performance Driver B Williamson could offer no tangible explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no clinical abnormalities. Stewards will follow up with Trainer P Robertson in the coming days.
DOVES SU - weakened from the 700 metres. A warning was placed against the mare's racing performance.
BULLYS PRINCESS - when questioned regarding the mare's improved performance, Trainer L Sinnamon advised the mare had pleased in preparation for tonight's event and had benefited from an improved draw and an economical trip.
MY BLUE HEAVEN - paced roughly negotiating the first bend shifting up the track.
HANS IDEAL - raced wide through the early stages. Weakened from the 900 metres and was eased out of the race. Stewards requested a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no clinical abnormalities. A warning was placed against the mare's racing performance.
JUST ANOTHER LEGEND - inconvenienced for a short distance near the 400 metres when trailing a weakening runner.

REDDINGTON - held up near the 200 metres having to be shifted inwards to obtain clear running. Junior horseman B Munro will be spoken to in the coming days with regard to the manner in which he drove near the 600 metres.
HAPPY STYX - broke shortly after the start.
CHRISTIE MARIE - broke briefly at the start.
SILVER DALE - held up for a short distance passing the 300 metres.
THE DOORMAN - displayed poor barrier manners resulting in the Starter turning the field away to readdress the barrier. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier record. Junior Driver M Anderson (assisted by N Williamson) was cautioned for the manner in which he conducted himself towards the Starter's assistants prior to the start.

SCARLETT LANE - broke when inconvenienced by a breaking runner entering the first bend.
SPRINGBANK ELLA - hung inwards negotiating the first bend placing SCARLETT LANE in restricted room.
FRENCH DESIRE - broke negotiating the first bend and was shifted to the infield.
GORILLA PLAYBOY - displayed poor barrier manners prior to the start and was sent to the Unruly position by the Starter for the second attempt. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier record given its acceptance at the Waimate TC's meeting on Sunday however a repeat of this would see it placed on Unruly.
MONIBURNS - trainer P Ellis was cautioned to ensure he notifies a person in charge of his runner in his absence. Broke at the start and again negotiating the first bend.
HIGHLAND STAR - trotted roughly entering the first bend and shortly afterwards, broke. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing record. Authorisation of 2nd placing being awarded was withheld until such time Stewards were satisfied the gelding had not breached the Breaking Horse Regulations when in a break at this stage of the race.
OCH AYE THE NOO - broke near the 200 metres. A warning was placed on the mare's racing manners.

MADDISONS DESIRE - raced keenly during the middle stages.
GUNPOWDER - when questioned regarding the seemingly improved performance connections advised that GUNPOWDER had been unsuited to the closing tempo at its most previous race and that they were pleased with a recent workout in preparation for tonight's event.
SAGWITCH - raced keen in the score up making heavy contact with the mobile barrier with its front legs resulting in starter declaring a false start. Underwent and passed a veterinary examination prior to the restart. A warning was placed against the gelding's mobile barrier record.
QUEEN OF GLORY - over-raced in the middle stages.

DIDJABRINGTHEBEERS - broke shortly after the start losing its chance.
ACE COMMANDER - broke at the start losing ground.
KING CASSIDY - broke nearing the 80 metres and continued on in a break to the finish line. Stewards lodged a Protest pursuant to Rule 870(3) and the Breaking Horse Regulations alleging the gelding had galloped in excess of 50 metres inside the final 200 metres. The Protest was not contested by connections with KING CASSIDY being subsequently disqualified from 3rd placing.

HEARTBREAKER - slightly out of position at the start.
WHATA RAZZLE DAZZLE - broke during the score-up checking second-line trailing runners and a false start being declared by the Starter. Driver T Williams elected to remain in his allotted barrier position for the re-start. A warning was placed against the gelding's mobile barrier record.
BALDOON - obliged to race three-wide without cover for the majority of the event before weakening near the 500 metres.
LIMOSO - when questioned regarding the improved performance trainer J Wederell advised that he had not been overly disappointed with the gelding's recent efforts and that the forward showing was not entirely unexpected given a recent trial win.
MACH O'MELLEY - raced wide in the early stages.
CLASSIE PRINCESS - hung inwards during the score up and as a result was slightly out of position at dispatch. Continued to hang outwards at various stages during the running.

NERVE OF STEEL - held up early in the run home.
MICKEY JAY - raced wide in the early stages until reaching the parked position near the 1400 metres.
ROSTRIEVER VICTORY - held up in the early and middle stages of the run home.
BEAUDIENE GAMBLER - paced greenly after 200 metres.
ALEXY - raced keenly and became awkwardly placed to the back of ROSTRIEVER VICTORY near the 1700 metres having to be steadied. Held up in the early and middle stages of the run home.
