EARTHQUAKE - badly held up on the final bend and throughout the home straight.
GERALD - broke in the score up checking runners on the second row with a false start being declared. Driver G Cook elected to remain in his barrier position for the re-start. A warning was placed on the mobile barrier record of the gelding. Driver G Cook was dislodged in the early stages of the score up for the re-start after BEAUDIENE GAMBLER shifted inwards abruptly. GERALD underwent a veterinary examination and was cleared to start. Driver G Cook was also cleared of any injury to fulfill his driving engagement. Over-raced early stages.
BEAUDIENE GAMBLER - the re-start was abandoned due to the gelding becoming fractious in the early stages of the score up, shifting inwards and causing driver G Cook to be dislodged from GERALD. BEAUDIENE GAMBLER was sent to the unruly position by the Starter. A warning was placed on the mobile barrier record of the gelding. Raced wide early stages.
CLASSIE REGAL - held up early stages of the home straight.
MANINTHEMIRROR - hung inwards shortly after the start.
ALEXY - raced wide early stages.
ROMANITE - no claims were lodged. Raced wide early stages. Paced roughly near the 400 metres.
HIGHLAND REIGN - raced wide until improving to lead near the 800 metres.
FLAMBOYANT - held up for clear racing room throughout the run home.

CRUSADER CONQUEROR - broke at the start. Weakened over the concluding stages. When spoken to regarding the performance trainer/driver I Cameron explained that the gelding was not suited to having to do any extra work during the running.
TEQUILA SUNSET - trotted roughly throughout the run home. Driver K Cameron reported he was unable to place the horse under any pressure.
SUPERFAST NINJA - raced wide early stages.
GRAND PRINCESS - lay outwards throughout the home straight and trotted roughly.
EDESIA - raced wide until reaching the parked position near the 1200 metres. Hung inwards throughout. Gave ground final bend.
RED HARBOUR - broke briefly at the start.
ABOUT LAST NIGHT - fractious prior to the start. Broke with 400 metres to run.
KIWI HEIR - broke at the start losing all chance. Stood down until the completion of one satisfactory trial from a stand.

ROCKNPOP - when questioned regarding the mare's performance, driver S Tomlinson advised that in her opinion the mare may be better suited when driven with cover.

LARCH - broke at the start losing considerable ground. Had difficulty obtaining clear racing room throughout the home straight.
NATIVES LASTING LOVE - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room throughout the home straight.
PARADISE SPUR - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home.
JERRY GARCIA - broke after 150 metres. Broke again near the 1800 metres and in the home straight. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. Driver L O'Reilly was warned for using his whip when out of contention.

FLETCH - held up for clear racing room until late in the run home.
DOLCE DENARIO - broke badly at the start hampering trailing runners. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.
IDEOLOGIST - shifted inwards at the start and broke. Hampered after 100 metres.
GETARATTLEON - hampered after 100 metres. Lay inwards throughout the run home.
A BETTER DANCER - the connections advised the horse had been gelded since last racing.
LONDON DELIGHT - the rein pricker was removed prior to the start. Broke at the start. Hampered after 100 metres.

WHITE HOT ASHES - the shadow roll was removed prior to the start. Broke in the score up hampering LILAC CHANGE however was able to take up its allocated barrier position at the start. A warning was placed on the mobile barrier record of the gelding. Broke with 350 metres to run. The connections advised that the horse would no longer be persevered with from their stable.
KING ARTHUR - held up for clear racing room for the majority of the home straight.
BALDOON - raced wide early stages.
TINTIN NATURALLY - driver M Edmonds was warned for the manner he drove near the 1700 metres when shifting ground crowding an inside runner.
WOODLEA VC - raced wide and paced roughly in the early stages.
LILAC CHANGE - hampered in the score up however was able to take up its allocated barrier position at the start. Hung outwards through the middle stages
DELIGHTFUL TANNER - placed in restricted room near the 1700 metres and had to be steadied.

BIRD OF PARADISE - driver M Anderson advised the sliding blinds did not activate due to the cord becoming entangled.
SCARLETT BANNER - over-raced early stages before improving wide without cover through the middle stages. Weakened leaving the final bend.
EDITORIAL - held up for clear racing room until late in the run home. Stewards questioned driver M Hurrell regarding his decision not to improve outwards near the 500 metres when an opportunity existed. Mr Hurrell explained that he had been instructed to take up a position near the pylons if possible in the early stages and then not to improve wider on the bends to prevent the horse striking its knees which it had done when racing wide at its last start. Trainer T Bagrie confirmed the instructions and advised that going forwards it was desired the horse be driven in a similar manner when circumstances allow.
AUGUSTA(AUS) - hung outwards leaving the final bend and throughout the home straight. Paced roughly near the 300 metres.
LAYTONS LASS - removed from the unruly for future mobile starts.

YOUNG STRANGER - broke near the 200 metres.
TRICKY RASTUS - broke racing into the first bend. Broke near the 1600 metres and again with 600 metres to run. Placed on the unruly for future standing starts at the trainer's request.
ARDEE TROUBLE - broke rounding the first bend. Broke again near the 300 metres.
BEYOND THE HORIZON - broke at the start.
RED HOT ROCKET - held up on the final bend. Broke near the 200 metres.
SODS LAW - broke at the start. Driver J Geddes advised he sustained a punctured sulky tyre during the running.
SPURRED BY SUCCESS - hampered at the start.
HIGHLAND STAR - shied at the barrier strand and shifted inwards sharply at the start hampering SPURRED BY SUCCESS. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Broke passing the 100 metres.
TIME FOR DIAMONDS - trotted roughly racing into the first bend. Broke near the 2400 metres and continued on in a break for a considerable distance. Held up for clear racing room in the middle stages of the run home. Stewards lodged a protest against 3rd placing being awarded under Rule 870(3) and the Breaking Horse Regulations for galloping in excess of 150 metres during the running. The connections did not contest the protest and TIME FOR DIAMONDS was disqualified by the JCA. Driver J Ford will be spoken to regarding the manner he drove in the home straight.

TAKE AFTER ME - broke at the start.
DANA DAWN - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the early stages of the home straight.
ASSET CONTROL - broke at the start. Lay inwards in the home straight.
DREAMY DAMIEN - broke at the start.
SAILS - broke briefly racing into the first bend. Broke again after 300 metres. Over-raced middle stages. Received treatment from the Veterinarian following the race for a laceration to the left front pastern.

CULLEN'S BARDON - broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the mobile barrier record of the gelding.
AMERICAN ALICE - had to be steadied near the 100 metres when crowded by BOBBY T which shifted inwards and BLINGITON which had been forced wider on the track.
MR ASIA - the connections advised the gelding would be racing without front shoes. Forced wider on the track near the 100 metres.
BLINGITON - hung inwards in the score up and was back slightly at the start. Held up early stages of the run home. Hung inwards in the home straight. Hampered passing the 100 metres.
MORDECAI - placed in restricted room passing the 100 metres and had to be steadied.
BRIDGET BLUE CHIP - held up for clear racing room in the early and middle stages of the home straight. Driver R Holmes was warned for shifting ground near the 100 metres. Shifted outwards over the concluding stages. Mr Holmes was also cautioned to make a greater effort to maintain a straight course in the run home.
CHRISTIAN LADY - broke in the score up losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the mobile barrier record of the mare. Hampered after 150 metres by a breaking runner.
BOBBY T - hung inwards on the final bend and in the home straight crowding AMERICAN ALICE near the 100 metres. Driver R Cameron was warned to make a greater effort to maintain a straight course in the run home.
