Race 1WIVES DON'T KNOW HANDICAP TROTVideo  Video 
LONE STAR LAD - a false start was declared after the front line barrier strand became entangled around the gelding's legs. The start was further delayed when the gelding's sulky was changed. Trotted roughly over the initial stages and was slow. Veered out when in the lead passing the 800 metres and had to be corrected.
BEG FOR CHEVRON - broke passing the 250 metres.
MEKONG PRINCESS - over-raced middle stages and trotted unevenly throughout the run home.
MONARO MIA - broke losing ground shortly after the start. A warning was placed on the filly's standing start barrier manners. Changed ground outward in order to obtain clear racing room during the run home. Trainer G Neill advised that he would be restricting the filly to mobile start events for the immediate future.

WILLIE FROST - broke shortly after the start losing its chance. A warning was placed on the mobile barrier manners of the gelding.
DRIZELLA - caught four wide for the final 500 metres.
WYNBERG JEWEL - raced ungenerously outside the leader down the back straight the final time and weakened out rounding the final bend.

TENNYSON INLET - over-raced middle stages.
CAPITAL GIRL - over-raced in the early and middle stages. Weakened out inside the final 600 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality.
HEZALUCKYGRINNER - a centre hopple carrier came adrift during the running with Trainer L White being issued a $100.00 Minor Infringement Notice.
HANNAH EXTREME - raced fiercely over the middle stages. The undercheck came adrift. The gear was inspected and found to be in good order.
LINCOLN LOVELY - over-raced middle stages.
EMIRA - raced three wide without cover from inside the 1000 metres and gave ground on the final bend.

ATOM HANOVER - led early and then weakened on the home bend. Broke near the 250 metres when in restricted room to the inside of IDEALAGAIN which had SHEZA SPRINGFIELD tight to its outer.
SHEZA SPRINGFIELD - tended to lay in when attempting to improve rounding the final turn.
SHEEZA SPORT - sustained a punctured sulky tyre over the early stages.
IDEALAGAIN - improved three wide middle stages to race outside the leader passing the 900 metres, received cover and battled on into 3rd place beaten 6 1/4 lengths. Driver B Orange stated the mare had received every opportunity.
HOMEBUSH LAD - broke racing into the first bend losing considerable ground. The gelding was retired from the event with a broken off-hind hopple loop. The gear was inspected and found to be in satisfactory condition. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners.
CHRISTANNA - caught three wide early.
GOTTA MOMENT - over-raced middle stages.

JENORA - inclined to lay in on the bends. Badly held up by a tiring runner from inside the 400 metres. Held up over the early and middle stages of the run home.
HELIX - inconvenienced by a tiring runner rounding the home bend.
BILL HALEY - over-raced in the lead and weakened inside the 400 metres. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. Trainer J Abernethy advised that he would carry out further veterinary tests in the upcoming days and advise Stewards should anything surface that would explain the performance.
ITSOKBEINGBETTER - caught three wide early.

ALLY MAE - shifted up the track when in the lead inside the 300 metres inconveniencing ROBERTA SLACK. A final warning was issued to Trainer N Chilcott in regard to the filly's racing manners.
TOPPATHEROCK - held up on the home bend and the early stages of the run home.
ASHLEY TISDALE - over-raced early stages.
ROBERTA SLACK - inconvenienced by ALLY MAE shifting wider on the track passing the 300 metres.

MADIBA - inclined to lay out in the run home. An information was lodged alleging that Driver S Doody was in breach of Rule 869(2) when he used his whip excessively over the final 400 metres. The charge was admitted and the JCA imposed a fine of $200.
MISTER HARRIS - held up rounding the final bend and the early stages of the run home.
FLEETING GRIN - held up rounding the final bend and failed to get clear racing room throughout the run home.
BLACK CHEVRON - placed in restricted room just short of the winning post.

THE HURRICANE - hung badly over the early stages. Lost contact with the field from inside the 600 metres. A warning was placed on the gelding's performance record.
MEGATRON - three wide from inside the 1000 metres. Four wide from inside the 700 metres.
