Race 6 - KIM & HAMISH'S 50TH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION HANDICAP PACE
Driver D Keast (assisted by J Cox) admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) in that he used his whip excessively when driving ALL ABOUT HENRY over the final 400 metres. After hearing submissions on penalty the JCA imposed a fine of $300.
Race 8 - PAM & IVAN LAWSON HANDICAP TROT
Following the performance of MON RICHIE on Friday night, Trainer D Ross has advised Stewards the gelding has been retired.

RITES OF ZHOU - broke at the start losing considerable ground.
LONE STAR LAD - hung inwards racing into the first bend.
ASTOUND - broke at the start losing all chance.
I W MCNIK - broke passing the 850 metres. Authorisation of 5th placing being awarded to I W MCNIK was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horse Regulations when in a break.
GIRLS LET LOOSE - broke near the 500 metres hampering a trailing runner.
GRAND PRINCESS - broke near the 500 metres after being hampered by a breaking runner. Trotted roughly in the home straight.
KIITOS - broke at the start. Broke again racing into the first bend losing all chance.
IDEAL INVASION - broke shortly after the start. Broke again racing into the first bend losing all chance.
DOLLY JONES - broke shortly after the start. Over-raced middle stages. Authorisation of 4th placing being awarded to DOLLY JONES was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the mare had complied with the Breaking Horse Regulations when in a break in the early stages.
MAJESTIC HURRICANE - over-raced in the middle stages. Forced wider on the track passing the 800 metres.

MAXWELL MONTEZ - broke after 150 metres.
NUI MAY TAU - held up by a tiring runner passing the 600 metres. Weakened final bend.
CAPITAL PLAN - tired from the 600 metres.
JACK'S SHADOW - paced roughly after 100 metres. Raced greenly rounding the final bend and paced roughly.
LEI MISS - raced four wide from the 800 metres. Weakened final bend.
MAAHES - weakened final bend. When questioned regarding the performance, driver B Orange advised the gelding had raced lethargically throughout. A post-race veterinary examination revealed sensitivity in the right hock and left hip. Stewards will follow up the recovery of the horse in the coming days.

WESTAR MAGGIE - hung inwards final bend and was held up. Driver B Hope reported he was unable to activate the removable deafeners due to the cord breaking.
HIGHLAND STAR - trotted roughly final bend. Broke with 150 metres to run.
BELMONT'S GREATEST - tired rounding the final bend.
ANNA KATE - hung inwards final bend. Driver S Whatuira reported she sustained a punctured sulky tyre during the running.
LARCH - broke in the score up losing its chance. A warning was placed on the mobile barrier record of the gelding. Weakened final bend.
UNIQUE MARSHALL - weakened final bend.
BEG FOR CHEVRON - broke as the start was effected losing all chance. A warning was placed on the mobile barrier record of the mare.
SUGAR CANE - broke in the score up losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the mobile barrier record of the mare. Broke again leaving the 900 metres. Authorisation of 5th placing being awarded was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the mare had complied with the Breaking Horse Regulations in the early stages.
STAR PRIDE - broke near the 650 metres.
TIJUANA TAXI - broke in the score up losing all chance. A warning was placed on the mobile barrier record of the mare.

CHRISTIAN LADY - driver P McClelland reported he was unable to activate the removable deafeners after the cord became entangled.
MISS YOU - locked wheels briefly with JUST DANCE in the first score up. Lay outwards leaving the final bend placing outside runner in restricted room. Held up early stages of the run home.

MADDISONS DESIRE - forced to race four wide from the 700 metres.
CINDY BROMAC - paced roughly when racing wide entering the first bend.
POSSENTE CAVALLO - hampered near the 250 metres.
TRENDY BROMAC - the start was delayed due to TRENDY BROMAC requiring a sulky change.
ONEDIN REIGN - paced roughly near the 250 metres when placed in restricted room.

ZOEY'S GIFT - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after not having raced for a considerable time and was cleared to start. Broke briefly shortly after the start. Trotted roughly rounding the first bend and again in the home straight.
ENGHIEN - trotted roughly rounding the final bend and broke near the 250 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed lower back and hip pain. Stewards will follow up the recovery of the gelding in the coming days.
 
Race 6'DOWNBYTHESEASIDE' LEONARD MEMORIAL STAKES (MOBILE PACE)Video  Video 
LILAC BECKY - checked by ALREADY GONE and broke late in the run home. Continued on in a break over the finishing line. Stewards lodged a protest against 5th placing under Rule 870(5) alleging the filly was lapped on by ALREADY GONE at the finish of the race. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence, the JCA used their discretion not to relegate LILAC BECKY due to being in the incorrect gait as a result of interference.
ALREADY GONE - hung inwards leaving the final bend and throughout the home straight. Shifted inwards near the 30 metres making contact with LILAC BECKY which broke. A warning was placed on the racing record of the filly.
KAYLA MARIE - paced roughly near the 350 metres. Driver M Neilson reported that the filly had shied at a shadow on the track.

ROYAL BENGAL - broke at the start.
MIGHTY SANTANA - broke at the start.
CLASINA MARIA - raced wide from the 850 metres.
DON DOMINGO - held up early stages of the run home.
BUSTER BRADY - held up early stages of the run home.
TIGER THOMPSON - broke near the 2100 metres. Broke again passing the 1900 metres and 1700 metres losing all chance. Driver M Williamson reported the gelding had cast a front shoe passing the 2100 metres and had been uncomfortable in its gait thereafter. Trainer B Mowbray reported that the horse would likely return to the trials prior to racing again.

LIGHTWORKOFIT - broke in the early stages of the score up however was in its allocated position at the start. Tired rounding the final bend.
GEE UP NEDDY - held up by a tiring runner rounding the final bend.

FRANCO EXETER - tired from the 600 metres.
FRANKIE D - paced roughly after 100 metres. Over-raced early stages. Tired badly from the 800 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an elevated heart rate and poor recovery. The connections advised that the horse would be sent for a spell.
HUNDIE - over-raced middle stages.
PAY ME THE CHANGE - hung inwards and raced keenly in the early stages.
CAVIAR STAR - raced wide early stages.
RED TERROR - over-raced in the early stages. Weakened leaving the final bend.

ACUTO - paced roughly over the concluding stages and had to be steadied.
