Pre-race blood testing was carried out. Due to the false start in Race 3 and the requirement of the St John Ambulance Paramedics being on track to assess driver C Purvis, the restart of Race 3 and all subsequent races were put back one race with Race 12 being rescheduled to start at 6.46pm. Subsequently Miss Purvis was transported to Dunedin Hospital for further observation and was unable to fulfil her remaining engagements. (See Summary for replacements.) Due to the Mobile barriers inability to pull away from the field at an acceptable speed in the restart of Race 3, the start of Race 4 was effected by way of a moving start. A replacement mobile was obtained from Forbury Park and used without incident for the remainder of the meeting. |
