KD HALL - failed to get clear racing room until inside the final 70 metres.
EYRE I COME - trotted roughly and broke approaching the 1300 metres and broke again passing the 150 metres.
DJOKOVIC - the gelding started out of position on the very outside of the front line instead of the unruly one position (no closer than 5 on the second line). An information was lodged alleging that Driver L. Chin was in breach of Rule 858(7)(d). The breach was admitted and the JCA imposed a fine of $400.

ULTIMATE ANGEL - Trainer A. Herlihy was issued with a Minor Infringement Notice and fined $100 for presenting the mare to race with the incorrect saddle cloth number.
SOMEWHEREINBROOKLYN - two lengths out of position at the start despite the efforts of Junior Driver J. Whittaker. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. When questioned regarding the performance Co-Trainer F. Cooney advised that SOMEWHEREINBROOKLYN had hung inwards rounding the bends and would be looking to race the gelding left handed in the near future.
 
Race 3WINGER MOTORS TROT (STANDING START)Video  Video 
SEQUOIA - broke at the start for a short distance. Broke near the 2000 metres when racing in restricted room to the inside of SAFRAKOVA, galloping inside the track markers and as a result lost its chance.
TOBRUK - broke near the 300 metres forcing SAFRAKOVA wider on the track.
SHOW OF FAITH - Driver P. Ferguson reported that only one of the removable earplugs released.
SAFRAKOVA - lay in approaching the first bend crowding a runner to its inside and then broke approaching the 1900 metres. Forced wider by the galloping TOBRUK entering the final straight. A warning was placed on the filly's racing manners record.
ROUEN - broke at the start then trailed the field for the remainder of the race. The gelding was declared unruly for mobile starts at the trainer's request.

SIR HENRY CASTLETON - broke near the 250 metres. A Protest was lodged against the promoted 5th placing of SIR HENRY CASTLETON on the grounds that this gelding was in breach of the Breaking Horses Regulation and Rule 870(3) when it galloped in excess of 50metres inside the final 200 metres. The Protest was not contested and the JCA disqualified SIR HENRY CASTLETON.
ALL OVER THE STARS - broke at the start. Broke near the 700 metres and again near the 200 metres. A Protest was lodged against the 5th placing of ALL OVER THE STARS on the grounds that it was in breach of the Breaking Horses Regulation and Rule 870(3) in that it galloped in excess of 50 metres inside the final 200 metres. The Protest was not contested and the JCA disqualified the gelding.
SHAY SCOTT - broke at the start resulting in it being pulled up.

LOVELY BUNDY - trotted unevenly inside the 1400 metres and broke passing the 1300 metres losing ground and its chance.
STAR OF OLESYA - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground.
BRO FAWKES S - broke passing the 100 metres.

CHECK IN - raced wider on the track approaching the 1000 metres and was caught three wide momentarily rounding the bend. An investigation was held into a perceived breach of the Push Out Rule passing the 1050 metres. Junior Driver J. MacKinnon advised that his horse over-reacted when he attempted to restrain on to the back of CULPEKA which had improved outward in front of his gelding and when inside the 1000 metres he was legitimately eased to a three wide position by STEP UP.
