CAROLINE WOZNIACKI - delayed the start when becoming fractious. Broke at the start and then went to buck after breaking the crupper and was pulled up. This gear was inspected and found to be in satisfactory condition with Trainer J Abernethy deemed not to be at fault. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
J CEES CHOICE - broke at the start but soon settled. Broke near the 2100 metres when leading and lost considerable ground. A warning was placed on the colt's standing start manners.
T A'S CRACKER - broke at the start and trailed the field throughout.
SUNNY BILL - Driver B Orange advised that he had not activated the sliding blinds due to having the field covered.
FIRA - trotted unevenly throughout the run home and was unable to be driven out.

THE HURRICANE - held up early final turn.
JACK BATES - lay out in the run home when under pressure.
HEZALUCKYGRINNER - broke late in the score-up losing ground before settling. A warning was placed on the gelding's mobile barrier manners.
BALFAST - raced three wide from the 1300 metres.
CONTRACTUAL ISSUES - raced fiercely in the score-up. Paced roughly rounding the first turn. Held up throughout the run home.
STRAWBERRY MOOSE - raced three wide with cover from the 1000 metres.
VOLANDO DENARIO - raced three wide early.

LADY LIBERTY - raced greenly approaching the 1750 metres when another runner shifted ground to its inside. Junior Driver D Ferguson advised that his filly had over-reacted in this incident due to wearing a murphy blind on the near side.
DELIA MAY - over-raced when leading middle stages.
CHA CHA B - held up until inside the 70 metres.
DELIGHTFUL KAS - back from position at dispatch despite the efforts of Driver B Orange. Raced four wide from the 500 metres.
VIEWFIELD CHATTON - weakened final turn.
TORO DELAGO - raced three wide early before securing a position one out in mid-field and tended to lay in on the bends.

BURT MUNRO - weakened final stages.
XTRA TIME - broke briefly shortly after the start. Broke near the 500 metres.
OTO INVASION - trotted roughly throughout. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the left hind. A veterinary certificate of fitness is required for the gelding before it resumes.
COMMANDO ONE - tired final stages.
MONARO MIA - broke briefly at the start losing ground.
MEKONG PRINCESS - broke approaching the 2000 metres losing ground before settling at the rear. Trotted roughly throughout the run home and could not be driven out.

CARBONADO - over-raced middle stages.
MASTER OF ESCAPE - commenced to tire passing the 600 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality other than a slow recovery.
EMIRA - lay in final bend when racing wide.
SAUCHIEHALL - broke at dispatch losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the mare's mobile barrier manners.

SOL INVICTUS - Contacted pylon passing the 2150 metres. Failed to secure clear running throughout the home straight.

GUNPOWDER - held up over the early stages of the run home.
BLACK CHEVRON - Driver J Abernethy admitted a charge under Rule 869(2) in that he used his whip excessively over the final 200 metres. The JCA imposed a $200.00 fine.
MAX PHACTOR - raced three wide early and middle stages.
IDEAL ROMAN - held up over the early stages of the run home.

BOBBY M - over-raced in the middle stages when in the lead. Weakened rounding the final turn.
AMARO - broke approaching the 2000 metres but soon settled. Paced roughly rounding the final turn when being held up by a weakening runner. Again paced roughly late in the run home. A final warning was placed on this gelding's racing manners record.
TENNYSON INLET - raced three wide from the 1100 metres.
ARCANO - raced three wide from the 1100 metres.
LINCOLN LOVELY - hampered leaving the back straight the final time by a weakening runner.
HOLD ALL BETS - raced three wide from the 1000 metres.

FRANCO LENNOX - had difficulty obtaining clear running in the home straight.
ARDENT LUSTRE - Junior driver S Quill admitted a charge under Rule 869(2) in that he used his whip excessively over the final 400 metres. The JCA imposed a suspension of Mr Quill's Junior Driver's licence effective 24 February 2018, at the completion of an earlier suspension incurred at Cambridge on 08 February 2018, up to and including 9 March 2018.
