Stable representative A Tomlinson advised Stewards on 6 February that veterinary examinations have revealed that AMARETTO SUN is suffering from bone chips with the gelding being sent for a spell.
Race 9 - ARDEN LODGE - SAUNDERS MOBILE PACE
Co-Trainer J Cox advised Stewards on 6 February that subsequent to its disappointing performance at Addington last week THE KAIK was found to be suffering from a virus which is now being treated.

IDEAL INVASION - broke racing into the first bend.
BJ LINDENNY - broke at the start and failed to settle for a considerable distance. Stewards lodged a protest against 2nd placing being awarded under Rule 870(3) and the Breaking Horse Regulations for galloping in excess of 150 metres in the early stages. The connections did not contest the protest and BJ LINDENNY was disqualified by the JCA.
SILVER SPUR - broke on the first bend. Broke again with 1200 metres to run. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
LONE STAR LAD - broke with 350 metres to run.
SKYLINE - broke at the start.
THIS WAY COMES - trotted roughly in the early stages. Weakened badly from the 800 metres. A warning was placed on the racing performance of the gelding.
CHAMPAGNE PRINCE - delayed the start after requiring a sulky change. Broke with 250 metres to run.
RACHMANINOV - stood on the mark losing ground at the start. A warning was placed on the standing start record of the gelding. Forced four wide from the 1000 metres.
THE GREAT REDEEMER - broke at the start.
WESTEROS - improved wide without cover through the middle stages. Trotted roughly in the home straight. Driver J Curtin advised he was unable to activate the removable deafeners due to the cord becoming entangled.
ONE YANKEE ANGUS - Trainer M Smolenski was issued a Minor Infringement Notice under Rule 858(b) and fined $200 after ONE YANKEE ANGUS was presented late onto the track with under five minutes to start time.

MCCAWSOME - hung inwards and struck a pylon near the 500 metres which was dislodged. Held up for clear racing room in the middle stages of the home straight when HOMEBUSH LAD shifted inwards. Driver R May advised he did not activate the removable deafeners in consequence.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS - tangled away. Held up for clear racing room throughout the home straight.
ABSOLUTELY UNREAL - held up for clear racing room in the early and middle stages of the home straight.
KING OF HEROES - Trainers C & J DeFilippi were issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice under Rule 865(2) after KING OF HEROES was presented without the notified removable deafeners.
SONIC REIGN - tangled away.
HOMEBUSH LAD - Stewards lodged a protest against 1st placing being awarded under Rule 869A(2) and the Home Straight Regulations when HOMEBUSH LAD shifted into the passing lane in the run home after obtaining clear running near the 250 metres impeding the progress of MCCAWSOME (R May). After hearing evidence from Stewards, drivers J Dunn and R May and viewing films, the JCA dismissed the protest. Driver J Dunn admitted a subsequent charge under Rule 869(4) and the Home Straight Regulations for failing to keep straight in the run home. After hearing submissions on penalty the JCA imposed a fine of $400.
PEMBROOK BLUE - Trainer B Negus (S O'Reilly as agent) was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice under Rule 865(2) after PEMBROOK BLUE was presented with removable deafeners which had not been notified. Began awkwardly and was slow in the early stages.
SON OF A TIGER - raced greenly leaving the final bend and hung outwards. When questioned regarding the performance, driver B Butt reported that in his opinion the colt had failed to handle the grass track and it would be the stable's intention to restrict the horse to all weather tracks in the immediate future. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
DI CAPRIO - improved wide without cover through the middle stages.

IT'S A DEAL - held up on the final bend and until late in the run home. Driver J Young advised she did not activate the gelding's removable gear in consequence.
FOUR STARZZZ LEGEND - hung outwards throughout the run home.
REGAL SUZY - raced wide without cover through the early stages. Held up early stages of the run home.
PASSION FLOWER - held up early stages of the home straight. Driver B Orange advised the sliding blinds were not activated due to the cord becoming entangled.
BRIDGET BLUE CHIP - raced four wide until being restrained to the three wide line near the 1100 metres. Continued to race wide throughout. Over-raced middle stages.
HIGHLAND GIRL - raced four wide in the early stages. Continued to race wide throughout.
GLENISTHEBETTOR - held up final bend and in the early and middle stages of the home straight.

IMMORTAL CHANGE - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after trainer M Jones reported that the filly had been suffering from slight muscle tie up and was cleared to race. Broke as the start was effected. A warning was placed on the mobile barrier record of the filly. Over-raced middle stages.
TARTAN ROXY - broke as the start was effected inconveniencing ONEDIN REIGN. A warning was placed on the mobile barrier record of the filly. When questioned regarding the performance, driver K Butt advised that in her opinion the filly had not handled the grass track. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
LEI MISS - held up early stages of the run home. Hung inwards late in the run home.
ADIEU FLIRT - reluctant to leave the pre-race circle and as a result was well out of position at dispatch. A warning was placed on the mobile barrier record of the filly. Paced roughly final bend.
ONEDIN REIGN - inconvenienced at the start. Raced wide in the early stages. Driver J Dunn advised he had not activated the sliding blinds due to having the field covered.
MISS BIG - broke in the score up and was well out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the mobile barrier record of the filly. Had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the home straight.
COMFORTABLY NUMB - improved wide without cover from the 1200 metres. Weakened final bend.

GIVEMEWHATINEED - over-raced throughout. Held up for clear racing room throughout the home straight. Driver P Davis advised he did not activate the removable deafeners in consequence.

LOVEYOUTODOIT - raced wide without cover from the 900 metres. Trotted roughly leaving the final bend and broke briefly passing the 200 metres.
THE GOD BOTHERER - cleared from the unruly for future standing starts. Driver B Munro was warned to change his whip action.

ART I AM - paced unevenly over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities other than possible irritation caused by the bell boot rubbing an old wound on the right front fetlock.
MR ASIA - raced wide in the early stages. Weakened passing the 400 metres.
JJ'S DELIGHT - broke in the score up and was out of position at the start. Placed on the unruly for future mobile starts.
GOING TO CALIFORNIA - hung inwards in the score up and was back slightly at the start.
GARRY'S LEGACY - raced wide in the early stages.
ROCKNROLL NEVIN - held up final bend and in the early stages of the home straight.
SHARDAN SUZIE - briefly hampered in the early stages of the score up by a breaking runner.

JULIA LADY - tangled at the start. Driver G O'Reilly will be spoken to regarding the manner he drove in the home straight.
MOSSDALE ROSE - held up early stages of the run home. Awkwardly placed close to the sulky of the weakening MY WEE MAN near the 200 metres and shifted outwards crowding FRANCO TRISTAN. Driver R May will be spoken to in the coming days regarding this.
DIAMONDS N CASH - broke at the start. Driver J Dunn admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) in that he used his whip excessively inside the final 400 metres. After hearing submissions on penalty, the JCA imposed a fine of $200.
CABLE BEACH - improved wide without cover through the middle stages.
FRANCO TRISTAN - held up early and middle stages of the run home. Placed in restricted room near the 200 metres and had to be steadied.
BAILEYS KNIGHT - broke at the start.
DON DOMINGO - hung inwards near the 200 metres.
MY WEE MAN - weakened leaving the final bend. When spoken to regarding the performance, trainer/driver N McGrath advised he was disappointed with the effort and could offer no explanation. Mr McGrath added that he would have his own veterinarian examine the gelding in the coming days and undertook to notify Stewards of any findings.
MICKY GEE - held up leaving the final bend. Paced roughly near the 250 metres.

A false start was declared when the 10 metre barrier strand failed to activate.
TIME FOR DIAMONDS - held up for clear racing room on the final bend and in the early and middle stages of the home straight. Driver J Ford defended a charge under Rule 868(2) which alleged he failed to take all reasonable and permissible measures to obtain the best finishing position by electing to shift outwards leaving the final bend instead of waiting for the passing lane which would have given him an uninterrupted run to the finish. After hearing evidence from Stewards and Mr Ford and viewing films, the JCA found the charge proved. After submissions on penalty, the JCA suspended Mr Ford's Horseman's Licence from the conclusion of racing today up to and including 6 June 2018 and in addition imposed a fine of $400.
RUTHLESS KAYLA - slow to begin. Had difficulty obtaining clear racing room until late in the run home.
BONNIE HIGHLANDER - broke at the start. Held up in the middle stages of the home straight.
ONE OVER DOVER - when spoken to regarding the performance, driver C Thornley advised he was not disappointed with the effort after having to improve wide on the final bend.
LOTHARIO - broke racing over the crossing with 1400 metres to run. Broke again near the 450 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
ARRAN CHIEF - hung inwards through the middle stages. Weakened from the 400 metres.
SUNSET PEAK - trotted roughly over the concluding stages.

HAVINARAVUP - broke racing into the first bend. Broke again shortly after. Raced four wide from the 700 metres.
