Due to luggage misplacement en route to Invercargill several drivers were unable to wear the registered colours for runners engaged in the first 2 races. Selected horses were subjected to pre-race blood testing. |

DREAMINSOVER - broke at the start losing considerable ground. Broke again passing the 400 metres when racing to the outside of RAZCAL ALLEY which shifted out to find clear running. Driver R Austin admitted a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly near the 400 metres when failing to concede his position resulting in his own runner breaking and losing its chance. After viewing replays and hearing submissions on penalty the JCA imposed a fine of $300. | |
