I'M SICK OF EXCUSES - weakened from the 800 metres. A warning was placed on its racing performance.
CHOICE LUSTRE - broke near the 300 metres. Stewards spoke to drivers R Holmes (CHOICE LUSTRE) and M Edmonds (TINTIN NATURALLY) in regards to this incident. After hearing the explanation tendered by both drivers it was established that CHOICE LUSTRE had hung outwards when racing to the inside of TINTIN NATURALLY resulting in its off hind making contact with the sulky wheel of TINTIN NATURALLY causing it to break. Accordingly no further action was deemed necessary.
