| STAR RULER - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after arriving at the start with blood present in its mouth and was subsequently cleared to race. Paced roughly shortly after the start. Weakened from the 600 metres inconveniencing the trailing JILAIRE'S MAC, BUSTER BROWN and FLEUR GALLEON. When questioned regarding the performance driver R McIlwrick advised the gelding had proved disappointing however he could offer no tangible explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery rate. Stewards will follow up the recovery with co-trainers G & J Knight in the coming days. | |

Raced keenly for a distance passing the 700 metres and near the 500 metres paced roughly when being shifted outwards simultaneous to there being an easing of the pace on the marker line.
