Trainer A Beck advised Stewards on 11 January that following the disappointing performance of BETTOR ENFORCE at Cromwell on 6 January the mare has shown signs of being in season with Mr Beck adding that she will now be freshened before resuming.

I'VE GOT THIS - broke when leading near the 350 metres hampering SCARLETT LANE, which was held up in consequence.
EYRE'S A RAG DOLL - broke near the 1400 metres.
SCARLETT LANE - hampered by a breaking runner near the 350 metres and became held up in consequence.
SHE AINT NO ANGEL - broke late in the score-up losing considerable ground. Over-raced in the middle stages. Broke again near the 500 metres hampering the trailing LYNETTE THE VET.
DELESTIC - broke shortly after the start.
LANDORA'S LASSIE - hung inwards and broke near the 800 metres. Trotted roughly rounding the final bend.
JEDI JOSH - broke in the score-up then switched into a pace being checked by its driver in consequence, losing considerable ground.
OUR BUDD - broke passing the 900 metres. Broke briefly near the 300 metres.
PRINCE GEORGE - late scratching at 7.28pm on the 10th January when advised the gelding had been sold.
LYNETTE THE VET - hampered by a breaking runner near the 500 metres.
CRUSHER COLLINS - broke in the score-up.

STAR RULER - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after arriving at the start with blood present in its mouth and was subsequently cleared to race. Paced roughly shortly after the start. Weakened from the 600 metres inconveniencing the trailing JILAIRE'S MAC, BUSTER BROWN and FLEUR GALLEON. When questioned regarding the performance driver R McIlwrick advised the gelding had proved disappointing however he could offer no tangible explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery rate. Stewards will follow up the recovery with co-trainers G & J Knight in the coming days.
BUSTER BROWN - inconvenienced by a weakening runner near the 600 metres. Hung inwards and paced roughly near the 100 metres when being restrained.
LADY'S LASS - locked wheels briefly with CARLO GAMBINO near the 1200 metres.
OHOKA WAZ - weakened from the 600 metres.
JILAIRE'S MAC - inconvenienced by a weakening runner near the 600 metres.
FLEUR GALLEON - inconvenienced by a weakening runner near the 600 metres then became held up passing the 300 metres.
SHINDAL - junior driver M Hurrell advised the gelding had proved difficult to steer during the running and he would be recommending a change in bit be applied for the next start.
CARLO GAMBINO - locked wheels briefly with LADY'S LASS near the 1200 metres.

PAY MASTER - held up rounding the final bend and throughout the home straight going to line without being fully tested by its driver.
AMERICAN MAGIC - over-raced during the score-up and through the early stages.
GUNSLINGER BROMAC - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was subsequently declared a late scratching at 4.05pm when found to be lame. A veterinary clearance is required prior to the gelding's next race.
ANNIE FITZ - inconvenienced by a weakening runner near the 600 metres then became held up for a distance rounding the final bend until near the 150 metres.
MAGNATE MARA - raced wide in the early stages until reaching the parked position near the 1300 metres. Weakened from the 600 metres inconveniencing the trailing ANNIE FITZ.
CANARDLY REMEMBER - lay outwards in the home straight, with driver N Williamson advising that he would be recommending gear alterations prior to the gelding's next start.

HIGH LINE - held up rounding the final bend.
CHAR ELLIE - paced roughly during the score-up and was out of position at the dispatch. Inconvenienced by a weakening runner near the 500 metres. Driver M Williamson reported the filly had paced roughly throughout.
CLASSIE PRINCESS - out of position at the dispatch. Driver P Luzumova was issued with a warning.
HANS IDEAL - raced wide in the early stages until reaching the parked position near the 1100 metres. Weakened from the 500 metres inconveniencing the trailing CHAR ELLIE.

ROCKING ROBYN - broke near the 150 metres and when being restrained, shifted inwards severely hampering the improving TO RI ALBY. A warning was placed against the gelding's racing manners record.
HURRICANE BANNER - raced wide over the final 1000 metres.
T C BUSINESS - over-raced when being restrained near the 800 metres.
CAST A SHADOW - held up rounding the final bend and in the early stages of the home straight.
TRIROYALE BRIGADE - when questioned regarding the performance trainer/driver N Williamson reported he was not overly disappointed with the gelding's effort over the concluding stages after having to work hard through the early stages when improving wide.
HONEY CULLEN - got its head up when being restrained in the early stages.
TO RI ALBY - held up rounding the final bend. Severely hampered when checked by an outside runner near the 100 metres.

JACKS N JAZZ - broke as the start was effected and again entering the first bend. A warning was placed against the gelding's mobile barrier record.
VINCENZO DENARIO - weakened from the 400 metres.

SANTANNA'S ROCKET - hung outwards when negotiating the bend near the 500 metres locking wheels with the improving RAKAROVER which lay inwards simultaneously.
FRANCO HUNTINGTON - driver S Walkinshaw was cautioned for the manner he shifted ground near the 1900 metres when placing another runner in restricted room. Raced keenly for a distance passing the 700 metres and near the 500 metres paced roughly when being shifted outwards simultaneous to there being an easing of the pace on the marker line. Held up throughout the final straight.
ARGYLE BEACH - raced in restricted room near the 1900 metres when racing inside FRANCO HUNTINGTON (S Walkinshaw) which shifted inwards.
ROXY DALE - broke near the 300 metres.
RAKAROVER - lay inwards when negotiating the bend near the 500 metres, locking wheels with SANTANNA'S ROCKET and pacing roughly as a consequence. Paced roughly rounding the final bend when weakening.
FIRST SON - hung inwards in the home straight.
LILAC FLASH - improved wide from the 500 metres. Driver D Dunn admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) in that he exceeded the permitted number of strikes inside the final 400 metres. After viewing replays and hearing submissions on penalty the JCA imposed a fine of $200.

OSSESSIONE - weakened on the final bend.
BALIUS - weakened from the 800 metres. Stewards requested a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no obvious abnormalities.
ALOKA - raced wide in the early stages.
BEVAN'S CULLEN - held up for a distance passing the 500 metres when trailing a weakening runner.
AMERICAN SPIRIT - weakened from the 400 metres. Driver D Dunn reported the gelding had felt indifferent in its action during the running. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery rate. Trainer D Simpson advised that it would be his intention to have blood tests taken from the gelding in the coming days with the results to be advised to Stewards.
SIX DIAMONDS - raced wide in the early stages and when being restrained to obtain cover, commenced to over-race.
IT AIN'T THE MONEY - held up for a distance passing the 500 metres when trailing a weakening runner.

POWER SURGE - held up rounding the final bend.
IDEAL CONQUEST - raced wide in the early stages. Raced greenly rounding the final bend and shifted inwards, placing an inside runner in restricted room.
IDEALISTIC LASS - held up rounding the final bend.
HOPES AND DREAMS - improved wide in the middle stages.
DELIGHT MY SOUL - struck several track markers rounding the final bend when racing to the inside of IDEAL CONQUEST which raced greenly.
GOODLOOKIN CHICK - improved wide in the middle stages.
BONTZ - held up rounding the final bend and in the early stages of the home straight.

SON OF LANA - over-raced in the early stages. Held up when trailing a weakening runner near the 500 metres.
FUN SPONGE - over-raced in the early and middle stages. Raced wide from the 900 metres.
JAMES BUTT - hung inwards in the early stages of the home straight becoming awkwardly positioned close to the sulky wheel of THE HEART RULZ.
