TRES MAGNIFIQUE - broke near the 1100 metres.
FANCY WOMAN - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground.
KIWI HEIR - broke near the 1100 metres and again passing the 600 metres. Placed on the Unruly for future standing start events.
MAJESTIC LAVROS - Broke at the 450 metres and again over the concluding stages.
WITHOUT DOUBT - trainer P Williamson was issued a Minor Infringement Notice pursuant to Rule 864(2)(d) and fined $100 when he failed to affix bandages to the gelding so as not to come adrift. Placed on the Unruly for future standing start events at the request of Mr Williamson.
PEGASUS HANOVER - broke near the 1300 metres hampering PEGASUS SUNRISE. Driver C Graham reported she had received a punctured sulky tyre during the running.
OUR FOXY LADY - broke shortly after the start.
PICKETTS RIDGE - broke shortly after the start. Authorisation of third place being awarded was withheld until the Stewards were satisfied the gelding had not breached the Breaking Horse Regulations when breaking shortly after the start.
PEGASUS SUNRISE - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1300 metres and when taking evasive action, broke.
NATHAN D - trotted roughly for a distance passing the 1900 metres and on a number of further occasions during the running, being unable to be driven with any vigour by its driver in the home straight.
THUNDER BUDDY - broke near the 800 metres and again near the 500 metres.
WAIT FOR SUCCESS - broke at the start.
DREAM OF PAT - removed from the Unruly position for future standing start events.

COOLHAND EASTON - hung inwards and paced roughly near the 600 metres, losing ground. Held up for a distance passing the 400 metres.
FLEUR GALLEON - trainer S Lock was charged a $25 Colour Fee.
RIPSNORTER - broke shortly after the start hampering CAPITAL PLAN. A warning was placed on the gelding's mobile barrier record.
FOR REGAL - raced wide in the early stages. Hung inwards on several occasions when being improved forward near the 1000 metres. Hung inwards and struck several track markers rounding the final bend.
JACKS N JAZZ - lay outwards when placed under pressure in the home straight.
CAPITAL PLAN - hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start. Broke passing the 600 metres with the hopple breaking as a consequence. This gear was inspected by the Stewards and found to be in a satisfactory condition.
MATAI JETSTAR - hung in the score-up and was back at the start. Held up in the middle stages of the home straight.
ARCHMAN - raced wide from the 900 metres.
KANSAS CITY JIM - raced wide in the early stages.

BLUE CHIP LADY - broke at the start.
DOVES SU - broke at the start.
NADEEN FRANCO - driver C Thornley advised he did not activate the removable gear applied to this mare due to having the field covered.
LOMA JACCKA - hung outwards and broke near the 900 metres when awkwardly positioned near the sulky wheel of WALK LIKE A MAN.
VON RICHTHOFEN - broke at the start.
HUNTERTON - broke near the 1400 metres losing ground.
FRANCO JUNE - broke at the start and failed to settle for a distance. Broke again rounding the first bend losing ground. Raced wide from the 1100 metres.
WALK LIKE A MAN - paced roughly near the 500 metres. Broke over the concluding stages. Stewards lodged a Protest pursuant to Rule 870(5) against third placing being awarded to this runner alleging the gelding was in an incorrect gait when crossing the finish line and subsequently Lapped On by TACT DENZEL. Connections did not contest the Protest and after viewing the films WALK LIKE A MAN was relegated to fourth placing by the JCA.

HOLDON TOYASPURS - held up rounding the final bend and through the early stages of the home straight until near the 200 metres. Junior driver C Purvis reported only one sliding blind applied to this gelding had activated.
DUSKY EYRE - weakened from the 1000 metres inconveniencing the trailing SCARLETT LANE. Stewards will follow up the recovery with trainer R Allen in the coming days.
WESTY BOYZ - held up rounding the final bend.
SCARLETT LANE - inconvenienced by a weakening runner near the 600 metres. Held up in the early stages of the home straight until near the 200 metres.
ONE YANKEE GINGA - held up through the early stages of the home straight.
JUSTAMOLLYARCHER - raced wide in the early stages.
LARCH - driver A Suddaby dropped his foot from the sulky footrest near the 500 metres when activating gear. Mr Suddaby was spoken to ensure he returns his foot to the sulky footrest at the earliest possible opportunity in future.
DAVEY MAC - over-raced near the 1100 metres. Improved wide from the 600 metres. When questioned regarding the performance trainer/driver P Williamson reported the gelding had worked hard when improving wide from the 600 metres, which in his opinion had taken its toll over the concluding stages.
SUGAR CANE - stood on the mark as the start was effected then broke shortly after, losing its chance. A warning was placed against the mare's standing start record.
THE GOD BOTHERER - when questioned regarding the improved performance trainer N Munro advised he had not been overly disappointed with the gelding's previous effort at Winton and had derived benefit from that outing. Mr Munro added that in his opinion THE GOD BOTHERER was better suited to today's grass natured footing.
RYDGEMONT MILLY - slow through the early stages when trotting roughly. A post-race endoscopic examination revealed a possible respiratory issue with a veterinary clearance required prior to resuming.

ELVA JACCKA - held up in the early and middle stages of the home straight.
BETTORS ATOM - held up in the early stages of the home straight until near the 200 metres.
EASTON FOXGLOVE - raced greenly when leading passing the 800 metres, then again near the 200 metres shifting outwards abruptly. Trainer/driver B Norman advised the near-side wheel disc came adrift in the home straight.
TICKS BABE - hung inwards in the score-up and was back at the start.
KATIES NIGHTMARE - held up throughout the home straight with driver B Orange reporting that due to this he was not afforded the opportunity to activate the removable gear applied to this mare.
CIRCUIT BREAKER - weakened from the 400 metres.
CLASSIE PRINCESS - had difficulty obtaining clear running over the final 150 metres.
MILLWOOD CHARITY - raced wide from the 700 metres.
VINTAGE ROSE - hung inwards during the score up forcing CHILLI FRANCO wider, then continued to hang inwards through the early and middle stages. Lay outwards when placed under pressure in the home straight.
CHILLI FRANCO - inconvenienced during the score-up.

MAJESTIC GALLEON - broke at the start. Hung inwards and struck several pylons rounding the first bend, breaking in consequence. Broke again on several occasions during the running.
WAR ADMIRAL - broke when being angled wider on the track near the 350 metres.
SKY TOWER - broke entering the first bend.
PAT THE MONARCH - broke entering the first bend. Broke again rounding the final bend. Weakened from the 500 metres.
MAKAREWA RUM - broke shortly after the start. Placed on the Unruly for future standing start events at the request of trainer C Barron.
SHE AINT NO ANGEL - hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start.
PRES THE BELLE - lay outwards under pressure in the home straight.
TOO COOL - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground.
SPECIAL PAT - broke near the 2000 metres.

HIS ROYAL HARNESS - Held up rounding the final bend and through the early stages of the home straight. Junior driver J Morrison admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) in that he exceeded the permitted number of strikes inside the final 400 metres. After viewing replays and hearing submissions on penalty the JCA imposed a fine of $200.
LIKE YA MORE - broke when contacting the sulky wheel of PAY ME JIMMY near the 600 metres. Junior driver A Veint (assisted by his employer L McCormick) admitted a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly when permitting his runner to strike the sulky wheel of another runner and in consequence broke losing its chance. After viewing replays and hearing submissions on penalty the JCA imposed a suspension of Mr Veint's licence to drive from the conclusion of racing today up to and including the 26th January 2018 (5 days.)

MARTIN MCGUINNESS - had difficulty obtaining clear running in the early stages of the home straight until near the 200 metres.
FRANCO NIXON - broke at the start.
BETTOR B READY - broke at the start.
JERSEY JOE WALCOTT - broke at the start.
GROOMSMAN - hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start.
TO RI ALBY - broke at the start.
MACHJAGGER - held up in the early stages of the home straight until near the 250 metres.
FRANK THE TANK - broke at the start. Over-raced near the 1300 metres and was shifted to a three-wide position near the 1200 metres. Weakened from the 600 metres, with driver C Thornley reporting the gelding had been striking the wheel discs during the running.

A false start was declared when the sulky on SPORTSCASTER required attention. There was a further delay when CLIVE lashed out, breaking a hopple which needed replacing.
SWEET LORESS - tangled away. Held up rounding the final bend and through the early stages of the home straight.
CLIVE - broke at the start. Improved four-wide from the 500 metres.
FOUR STARZZZ SHIRAZ - hung inwards rounding the final bend.
FIERY FERRET - held up when trailing a weakening runner rounding the final bend.
EJA PATRON - paced roughly entering the first bend. Held up when trailing a weakening runner rounding the final bend.
BETTOR ENFORCE - when questioned regarding the performance trainer/driver A Beck advised he was disappointed with the effort however could offer no tangible explanation. Stewards requested a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no obvious abnormalities. Stewards will follow up the recovery in the coming days.
SPORTSCASTER - fractious prior to the start with the Starter sending the gelding to the Unruly position where it will remain for any future standing start engagements. Had difficulty obtaining clear running in the early stages of the home straight.
BONTZ - held up in the early stages of the home straight prior to being shifted outwards to obtain clear running.
QUITE IDEAL - broke at the start.

I'VE GOT THIS - broke at the start. Broke rounding the first bend losing ground.

PYRAMID MAGIC - hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start. Broke near the 150 metres.

SELENA FRANCO - held up rounding the final bend and in the early stages of the home straight until near the 200 metres. Paced roughly and broke over the concluding stages. Stewards lodged a Protest pursuant to Rule 870(5) against third placing being awarded to this runner alleging the mare was in an incorrect gait when crossing the finish line and subsequently Lapped On by KIWI ON SHOW. Connections did not contest the Protest and after viewing the films SELENA FRANCO was relegated to fourth placing by the JCA.
FRANKIE JONES - had difficulty obtaining clear running in the early and middle stages of the home straight.
MAIDONTHEBEACH - raced wide in the early stages. Over-raced in the middle stages. Driver H Hunter admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) in that he exceeded the permitted number of strikes inside the final 400 metres. After viewing replays and hearing submissions on penalty the JCA imposed a fine of $300.
SWEET MARY - raced four-wide from the 500 metres.
GYPSY'S CHOICE - held up in the early and middle stages of the home straight, then had difficulty obtaining clear running over the concluding stages.
KIWI ON SHOW - raced wide in the early stages.
JEREMY JONES - had difficulty obtaining clear running in the early stages of the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed symptoms of the Thumps.

JETENARA - over-raced in the early and middle stages. Shifted inwards near the 1100 metres resulting in MAGNATE MARA being placed in restricted room and forced inside the marker line momentarily. Driver R McIlwrick was issued with a warning. Held up in the early stages of the home straight until inside the 200 metres.
TANGLED UP IN BLUE - raced wide throughout. Had difficulty obtaining clear running in the early stages of the home straight.
TIZIANO - held up throughout the home straight and went to the line without being tested by its driver.
MAGNATE MARA - paced roughly as the start was effected. Forced inside the marker line momentarily near the 1100 metres. Lay inwards and struck several pylons rounding the final bend.
GRACE BURNS - raced wide in the early stages. Improved wide rounding the final bend.
LEAH MAC - raced wide in the early stages.
