REDMARO - crowded in the early stages. The near side pole came adrift during the running. Locked wheels briefly with RED UNDER FIRE nearing the 100 metres. | |
LIVING LEGEND - hung inwards sharply when negotiating the first bend placing pressure on inside runner. | |
RED UNDER FIRE - hung inwards into the first bend and paced roughly. Locked wheels briefly with REDMARO nearing the 100 metres. | |
EJA PATRON - hung inwards when being taken forwards to lead near the 1100 metres and in doing so had to be steadied with the gelding losing some momentum. Driver M Maynard will be spoken to in the coming days in regard to the non-activation of this gelding's hopple shorteners. | |

ART UNION - out of position at the candy pole and the start. Driver A Edge was cautioned to ensure that he maintains his position behind the mobile in future. Raced wide from the 800 metres. Lay inwards on the final bend. The horse's sliding blinds were not activated. Mr Edge was further cautioned to ensure he advises Stewards at the earliest opportunity should his gear not be activated in future. Claimed by ballot. | |

MYSTICAL STAR - held up over the final stages. Driver M House was questioned regarding his failure to attempt a run in the passing lane. Mr House explained that he was mindful that the trailing horse had first rights to the passing lane so it was his intention to improve outwards to gain racing room. Mr House then stated that once clear running was presented to his inside, he was unable to steer the mare downwards quickly due to her tractability and becoming awkwardly placed close to the wheel of JEDI JOSH prior to ONE OVER DA SKYE making its run to his inside. After taking into account into Mr House's explanation and viewing all available films, Stewards were satisfied Mr House's actions were reasonable and took the matter no further. | |

TOPNOTCH TITAN - a post-race veterinary examination showed swelling of the right gluteal which was spreading. The gelding was treated on course and has been stood down pending a veterinary clearance. | |
REGAL ASPIRANT - broke in the early stages. Broke again near the 1100 metres. | |
LADY TANYA - out of position at candy pole and the start. Driver J Gray cautioned to be in position in future. Weakened near the 400 metres. | |

SPORTSCASTER - broke in the score up after making contact with the barrier arm. A final warning was placing on the gelding's barrier record. | |
ROCKABALL - improved wide from the 600 metres. When questioned regarding the gelding's efforts, co-trainer T Barron explained that he was slightly disappointed with the gelding's efforts however expected he would derive benefit from today's race. | |

JOHNNY MAC - raced greenly and shifted outwards throughout the run home. Driver R May was advised he was to make a better effort in future to maintain a straight course. | |
UNFINISHED BUSINESS - out of position at the candy pole despite the efforts of driver C DeFilippi. Over-raced early stages. | |
WESTBURN BLISS - weakened near the 600 metres and hung outwards under pressure when doing so. A post-race veterinary examination revealed signs of gastric ulcers as well as pain in its right hip area. | |

TARA TUTAIA - fractious behind the barriers causing driver J Morrison some difficulty. The mare will now be drawn unruly for standing starts. Broke at the start. The connections advised it would be their intention to target mobile racing whenever possible. | |
SWEET LORESS - when questioned regarding the mare's improved performance, trainer P Anderson advised the mare had competed well at its last start despite a less than ideal run and was confident of a forwards showing tonight. | |
LAYTONS LASS - broke at the start, failed to settle and was retired from the event. A warning was placed on the mare's barrier record. | |
HOT OFF THE PRESS - broke at the start. | |
ELITE EXCUSE - locked wheels with VYNDETTA nearing the 150 metres losing all momentum. Stewards questioned driver A Stewart regarding the manner in which she drove at this stage of the race. Miss Stewart explained that the mare had shifted outwards abruptly on her shortly after activating the removable deafeners resulting in her locking wheels when improving. After considering her explanation and reviewing the films Stewards took the matter no further. Miss Stewart was further spoken to and reprimanded for using her whip shortly after the finish line. | |

A post-race veterinary examination showed general soreness and muscle tightening with the mare stood down pending a veterinary clearance. Trainer K Cameron advised it was his intention to spell the mare. | |
